Some good scenes, I suppose, but generally it's been lacking in consistency. So let's see if the latest volume fares any better. Zdenka One issue with the series is the repeated use of the same girls, such as Laura or Zdenka, veteran big boob starlet of several Clark and Rocco Siffredi productions over the last couple of years, and even some of those crazy GGG productions. Can I describe her without using the word "robust"? No, I suppose not. She's busty, quite good looking and stoutly built. An unspeakably long, tedious build-up to the scene fails to create any real tension between Zdenka and her amorous houseboy Leslie.

Melinda, a slim blonde who is no great beauty but has really found favour with me by dint of her sensational attitude (not that she gets to show that here), and Black Widow (what kind of name is that?), a gorgeous brunette with a fabulous tanned body, bring their sexy little selves over to Perry's flat.

Cox, Paul Cox Loved and loathed in seemingly equal measure, Gregory Dark was never one to make just another fuck film. Judging by the critical acclaim he has received, it seems almost like sacrilege to go against the grain, but I can't deny it, I did not like this movie. Not much of a loss, I suppose - it's available as a cheapie - but I was looking forward to something a little bit different, and that only occasionally occurs. The plot, such as it is, concerns a bizarre interview set up, in which leggy Nikita, she of the superb boobs and catwalk model looks, gives a virtual reality type of headset to Mickey, who subsequently becomes trapped in a world of sexual fantasy, seemingly of his own making, while totally losing his grip on what is the real world. Kind of like Total Recall but without overly muscular misogynistic Austrians. Or Mars.

After all, as dedicated watchers will have observed, there is less and less to distinguish between the two as Animal Trainer features fewer and fewer of the explosive rough sex scenes that were the hallmark of the earlier volumes. So to some fans it may come as a (partial) relief to hear that the rough stuff makes a (partial) return, in the form of a powerful domination for massively busted Laura in Rocco's one and only performance here, and the crude treatment of willing "victims" Theza and Viki by Rocco-wannabe Manuel.

For those unfamiliar with the Castings style, director Pierre Woodman seeks out talent in Eastern Europe and further afield, where he conducts casting interviews in which he asks probing questions of his nervous wannabes and offers the reward of travel and money - if they'll get their kit off. Some of them go on to make movies for Private, with clips from some of their work included here, some merely do photo shoots for Private magazines - again, the action is captured on tape, and pictures are supplied too. Just how genuine it all is I shall let you decide, but usually the girls appear somewhat reluctant and need varying degrees of persuasion to bare all for Woodman's probing lens.

The man himself is taking less of an active role, allowing newer young studs the chance to come to the fore; much in the way the likes of Buttman gave Rocco the chance all those years ago. Whether this is for the good is a matter of debate - it's also debatable whether this really is the source of my personal dissatisfaction, however minor, with the general standard of Rocco's releases over the last year or so. While he's always hitting in the ballpark, the grand slam home runs are getting few and far between.

In truth little attention is paid to the niceties of plot and character development - instead the robust Magyar moviemaker chooses to focus on several young beauties engaged in various delightful sex scenes. Hey, stories, who needs them? The fact of the matter is that this movie is about one true star - or should I say three stars? Being an appreciator of the whole woman, I do hate to be so bluntly sexist, but there's no way around it.

Add to this wonderful light, summery weather and most importantly Christoph's not-so-secret recipe for spicy sex, Beautiful Girls should be a winner all the way. However, there is always a "but" (no pun intended) and we'll get to that eventually. First, the really good stuff Alissa and Sylvia I am not given to hyperbole, though you may beg to differ, but Alissa is just the most beautiful thing I have seen in porn.

As in most Rocco outings, Rocco Ravishes Prague 4 consists largely of unrelated sex scenes, though a couple are tied together on this occasion. Ellen and Nicole Rocco and Gabriel Zero are hanging out in a café with James, referred to as Janos, who they encourage to go over and chat up the lovely Nicole Taylor (by now a massively experienced starlet) and the always-wonderful Ellen, a vivacious girl with a fun personality.

When considering the former, I'd say Nacho has to overcome the formidable competition provided by his close colleague Rocco Siffredi. But regarding the latter, Nacho's erstwhile (and continuing) employers at Digital Sin are no competition for Evil Angel. Nacho teamed up with the company who know how to do DVDs right.

Well, to be honest I am exaggerating a little. This is actually more than acceptable by any reasonable standard, as you can see from the scores above - it's just that there have been so many wonderful moments in recent Rocco movies that I was taking them for granted. This is hardly a massive fall from grace, in all fairness, just a slight slip in already high standards.
