It seems a little strange to me how Rocco insists on releasing more of his output labelled as Animal Trainer, rather than say in the True Anal Stories series. After all, as dedicated watchers will have observed, there is less and less to distinguish between the two as Animal Trainer features fewer and fewer of the explosive rough sex scenes that were the hallmark of the earlier volumes. So to some fans it may come as a (partial) relief to hear that the rough stuff makes a (partial) return, in the form of a powerful domination for massively busted Laura in Rocco's one and only performance here, and the crude treatment of willing "victims" Theza and Viki by Rocco-wannabe Manuel. For others, the news that the gorgeous Sandy and Stacy, in many European porn observers eyes the hottest twosome on the scene, are not best served by an enjoyable but generic encounter will be more disappointing. Overall
You know, I actually enjoyed Animal Trainer 8 a good deal more than I expected. Sure, it may lack the total intensity that some fans may yearn for, but overall there's a lot of good action here, generally tending towards the rougher end of the scale, and some great girls taking part. I always expect good things from Dora Venter and she certainly delivers, Honey is super cute, Laura is a revelation again, and Sandy and Stacy have whetted my appetite for more. I am sure the best is yet to come from those two. Theza and Viki are a surprise package too - they looked reminiscent of some of the girls you'd see on occasion in scenes Rocco sometimes used to pad out True Anal Stories, but in fact they put in a good shift at the coal face.

I just tend to have this theory that Rocco should release most of these scenes in TAS, and save the really strong ones, like that with Laura here, in order to release fewer, but stronger Animal Trainers - remember this refers to the dominance aspect of training a submissive partner, something that is only sporadically touched on in many of the recent volumes. Collected together into one volume, the best rough scenes from the last four or so Animal Trainers could have yielded one super-strong movie!

DVD Comments
There's a good 20 minutes of extra sex, which, as I mentioned, puts a slightly different slant on the final scene as well as giving you a touch more Sandy and Stacy - but only a touch, you teases! I want more! Otherwise, this is the usual fine package from Evil Angel - pictures, cast information, chapter and fetish menus. It's all good.

However, I have to comment on the so-so picture quality. I know that Evil Angel aren't really to blame for this - it's to do with the transfers between formats in editing and so forth - but it is kind of foggy in appearance at times, not sharp, and it's something that is common on Rocco's releases.
