Playing With Fire (Standard Digital)

Release date: 6/27/2004
Reviewed on: 7/19/2017

Studio: Standard Digital

Starring: Tom Byron, Randy West, Ron Jeremy, Eric Edwards, Cara Lott, Karen Summer, Brook West
Directed by: Kirdy Stevens

Review brief: All holy, sexual hell breaks loose when a standoffish, single, working mother and secretary (Candy Cummings) marries the big-pimpin' ladies' man of the office (Randy West) who has been pursuing her, only to have it ultimately come to light that he previously fucked one of her daughters (Brooke West). Of course, awkward doesn't nearly describe the familial interactions that ensue as Brooke's and Randy's attempts at keeping their prior encounter a secret unravel...nor does it adequately describe the chicanery, deception, infidelity, and quasi-incest that follow. Such is the case in "Playing with Fire", an exceptional, 1983 release from Standard Video and famed director Kirdy Stevens.

Directed by: Axel Braun

Review brief: New York City has been inundated with spooks and specters lately, and the only people who can stop them--and the evil demi-goddess whose return is bringing them about--are a ragtag group of failed semi-scientists, aptly named the Ghostbusters. Of course, this being a porn parody of the 80's classic, there's plenty of porking and pounding of both the natural and supernatural varieties along the way...which helps keep the viewers' interest (...and dicks...) up, as well. Such is the case in "This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX", a very good, 2011 release from Hustler Video and uber-director Axel Braun.

Review brief: The world is in crisis as the evil space demon, "Sugar Man" (Jamie Gillis), posing as an "innocent" South American dictator, spreads impotence across the planet via his country's tainted sugar. With his plans to exterminate the human race (and thereby clear the planet for his own kind) in full force, the super powers of the world find themselves desperately at one another's throats...and it turns out that only the stunningly beautiful blonde super-alien, "Ultra Flesh" (Seka), and her "Fleshettes" can save them...and the world. Directed by: Jake Malone

Review brief: "Sasha Grey Expose" is a very good, 2010 release from director Jake Malone and Evil Angel that showcases the infamous Ms. Sasha Grey's scenes from a variety of sources, including two volumes of "Bitchcraft" (the second and the fourth), "Gangbang My Face", "Fuck Slaves", and "We Suck"...not in any specific order. Review brief: When a wheeling-and-dealing businessman, played by Alan Marlow, suspects his ultra-active wife, the lovely blonde, Barbara Bourbon, of cheating on him during her various afternoon activities, only a pervy, self-described "peeping tom" and private eye, Eric Edwards, can help him uncover the truth. Review brief: When the female half of a married, television interviewing team (Darby Lloyd Rains) finds that her partner and husband (Levi Richards) is cheating upon her with a production assistant (Mary Stuart), she sets out upon a quest of sexual self-exploration and gratification. Of course, there are plenty of bumps along the way, as she goes from one bizarre encounter to the next, until she ultimately finds what she's looking for...which may be much closer to home than she actually thinks. Reynolds, Richard Norris, Jaquita Johnson, Con Covert, Randy Roetman, Jerry Mills, Harold Lime, John F. Goff, Lesllie Bovee, Bonnie Werchan, Jean Clark, Gary Graver, Serena [II] (classic)
Directed by: Robert McCallum

Review brief: All bets are off when a struggling actor who also happens to be a smooth-talking ladies' man, Jamie Gillis, signs on to be a part of a plot hatched by a wealthy, Hollywood mogul to cheat his relatives (a sister and four nieces) out of their inheritance from his dying (...and wealthier...) anti-sex crusader of a brother. Of course, this is a porno, so Jamie and his pals (John Leslie and Paul Thomas) are tasked with bedding all of the women in the family (with proof) to demonstrate their profound lack of morality and to get them kicked out of the will. The only thing that might get in the way of such an "easy", foolproof plan? Love. Such is the case in "The Ecstasy Girls", an exceptional, 1979 release from Caballero and director Robert McCallum.

Review brief: Happy fucking Father's Day, all! (...literally...) On this fine day of honor for the semen shooters of the world who happened to hit the mark and make all of us, intentionally or not, I figured that it would only be right and fitting to commemorate the esteemed occasion with a little bit of the now-ubiquitous "daddy" fetish for all of you. (...Nothing creepy about that now, right?...) And who better to kick off such fuckstivities than the lovely Hope Harper, whose incest-tinged, jurassic-dicking adventures have both become the stuff of legend and also cemented her small-but-real spot in the niche-filled world of pornography (insert: golf-clap). As such, I review herein one of Ms. Harper's more recent forays into familial-themed raunch, the aptly titled teaser-and-pleaser, "Road Trips with Daddy". A very good, 2017 release from Desperate Pleasures and company, this film offers up the enthusiastic, slutty blonde in various scenes from the road with her main guy and "dad", JW Ties...

Review brief: It's horny hi-jinks on the high seas when two dudes who are more desperate than they are smart, Randy West and Turk Lyon, hatch the brilliant plan of masquerading as women aboard an all-female cruise...just in the slim hopes of getting some action. Of course, just as their luck would have it, most of the women (...at least those whom they aren't molesting against their wills...) are more than happy to come upon some beef in their otherwise fish market of a vacation, and the ploy works. (Besides, it's always helpful to have a couple of brawny transvestites around when a bunch of pirates show up to spoil everyone's good time, right?) Such is the case in "Sexboat", a very good, 1980 release from Svetlana, David I. Frazer, and VCX.

Directed by: Cecil Howard

Review brief: Living a superficial, upper-middle class life with his mundane, flimsy facade of a family, a mediocre psychiatrist (Ron Jeremy) finds himself stuck with an unfaithful wife (Lisa B.), who's cheating upon him with his best friend (George Payne) and also their daughter's quasi-boyfriend (Sean Eilliott). Thrown into the mix is said budding, but "invisible" daughter (Tigr), who's covertly exploring her own sexuality in all manner of bizarre and dangerous ways. Of course, for his part, Ron is cheating with a slew of prostitutes and his clingy secretary (Copper Penny), who happens to also be banging Payne, as well. On top of it all, Ron finds himself harassed throughout the film (during cut-scenes) by a large, talking white light, the identity of which is fairly easy to figure out, though it isn't formally revealed until the end of the flick. Such is the case in "Scoundrels", a very good, 1982 release from Command Video and acclaimed director, Cecil Howard.

Review brief: Jerry Butler seems to have it made: an uber-successful career in the rock n' roll industry, a ton of money and the mansion to go along with it, and a hot, fire-crotched girlfriend who loves him and who caters to his every need. Of course, as with everything, there's always a catch and a price to pay. You see, Jerry murdered his ex-girlfriend, Tigr, a substance abusing rocker chick who got him his start in the biz, and made it look like an unintentional O.D. ... and now he sees her and her face everywhere he goes and in everything that he does. Indeed, his psychosis has him in a severe, downward spiral that even his girlfriend, Colleen Brennan, seems unable to stop. Compounding all of this is the presence of Angel, a young, gold-digging hottie whom the pair has brought home...and whom Butler has difficulty discerning from the phantasm that is his deceased ex. Such is the case in "Star Angel", an exceptional, 1986 release from Command Video and director Cecil Howard.
