Tongue in Groove's
Sex Rebels is a Euro feature set in future (2013?) New York. Unfortunately, the English dubbing is atrocious, making the plot almost unintelligible. Which (since this is, after all, porn) is not entirely important. This being a Euro flick, you can expect the typical flaws we always find in features from across the Pond: fake moaning, the girls staring into the camera, and artsy slo-mo and B&W intercuts. All of which detracts from the solid sex and sexy women on display. Speaking of women, the females here are top of the ladder. Okay, I decided to get this movie for one reason: Carmen Luvana. I've never seen her work before only knowing her as a pretty face that I see at a convention. Well I chose the wrong movie in this series of vignettes that relate to a catholic school. Carmen is involved in two scenes. The genre, of course, is "avant-garde porn", a style that more than pushes the adult sex envelope with unfathomable flavors but never in a heaviness one my relate to, oh, say, a World War II epic. Whatever that means. But today is not that day. Its a good release, but probably is lost in a sea of other normal and average porn releases, not to mention 17+ other titles in this series. Im not sure what the draw to purchase this title would be over many hundreds of other titles (and of course, vice versa). Surely, though, titles like these do well as rentals. Hello porn fans. This won't be a typical review where I go scene by scene. Rather this is just an overall impression of the dvd which in this case features two discs jammed packed with sex, sex, and more sex-- 13 scenes in all plus a bonus masturbation sex scene after you answer some questions correctly regarding Stacy. For the compilation dvd I must say Private really has the market cornered right now. I have yet to see a bad edition for this series and you really get a great representation of the work each girl has done for this company. The first disc offers 6 scenes plus in between the scenes you get a running interview with Stacy and I think of all the girls in this series she has proven to be the most fun to listen to. This is Acid Rain's take on it, and I think for the most part it turned out pretty good. I like ATM, but I don't like to see it take away from the scene as a whole, I personally found though in this one that if anything, it is too short on the ATM in most of the scenes for a title that is clearly themed towards the act, it's heavy in a couple scenes but generally light in others. Generally the sex is hot and high energy, and they keep up a lot of fast paced action. The claimed 140 minutes on the box cover is with extras, but extras are pretty weak, so the feature carries most of that running time. This is the first time I've seen any of Jonni Darkko's work, and I'm impressed. The lighting is perfect, and I swear he used the wall colors to highlight the skin tones of the women. THIS IS EXCELLENT PORN. The tease segments are just long enough, the music doesn't overpower the dialogue, and the chemistry is hot. Darkko's training in photography shows in every shot, camera angle, and choice of lighting. If you want scorching sex, beautiful women, and no gagging, quacking, or name calling, this dvd is for you. Im not sure why the change (usually there is trailers for other Platinum X Pictures videos and a bonus scene and tease footage which would have been very nice with the lovely Lucy Lee or Melissa Lauren). I just recently seen a Skeeter Kerkove DVD and I really thought his Directors Commentary was a great addition (Brandon would do an excellent job doing a commentary). Superwhores 2 Box Cover and Expectations: A Lexington Steele film is about all that needs to be said if your into massive black dicks pounding all kinds of hot little chicks.
