Here is the second film from Guy Capo and I must say it was a much funner film to watch than his first effort. One I really didn't find these girls all that attractive for the most part. I haven't even seen #2 but I can tell you that with Sweetheart and Rush alone it kicks #3's ass in the looks department. Secondly, and more importantly I was completely turned off by the tone of much of the movie. For my tastes the men were just too verbally insulting and degrading in this film. You cannot watch this and fast forward through the dialogue. You would miss SO much! The characters and the plot are extremely well written, and very involving. You have three couples: Carla and Justin, Gwen and Eddie, and Max and Nikita. Carla can't stop cheating on Justin, and Justin can sense that something is wrong. Gwen can't stand Eddie because he lies to her, but he won't agree to a divorce. Max is an asshole, plain and simple, and Nikita wants to find a way to get back at him. Okay, this sounds like a basic porno... it's not. This movie is very dark, and very depressing. No one gets a real happy ending, and the sex, in most cases, is not meant to be romantic. However, Vivid has done a horrible job with their DVD release of Bad Wives by using what they are calling the director's cut of the film that has excised more of the film then is included on the disc. The result is an absolute hack job that barely even resembles the original film. Vivid promised a Collector's Edition release of the movie with the uncut movie on it over a decade ago that never materialized. Sadly, this reviewer can't recommend this hack job of a modern classic. Unfortunately I did not read andyblake's review before purchasing. I had rented the VHS video and it was fantastic 4.5 stars with outstanding scenes from Tricia Devereaux(love the glasses) and Missy. So I had purchased the DVD for a permanent copy expecting better picture and sound. What VIVID did to the DVD is just wrong. To get their multiangle shots they just cut up the scene. None of the angles are the original full scene. Let me keep this simple. DO NOT BUY THE DVD. By all means get the VHS copy, it was great. Message to VIVID You have permanently lost a customer. In particular, a number of non-sex parts dragged out and I thought the ending was a disappointment (but I wont spoil it). Im looking forward to this one. Initial Reaction: Theres nice chemistry, but the camera work normally holds the scene back. Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting something light but sexy Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants extremely tame sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay at best. Its often a little off balance, as well as a little hollow. The video is pretty good for the age of the feature and the DVD. Theres a little grain, but not too much, and the lighting is decent. Music: The music is pretty typical porn music. The style varies a little in places, but never too much, and its always on the loud side. Menus: The menus are anything but impressive. Audio /Video Quality: As with the first part, the audio is excellent. Face Dance Part 2 was originally shot back in 1992 so some grain is expected and is also about the same as the first part.
