review from 12/16/2017:
Vinegar Syndrome has, yet again, put out a beautiful release of classic adult films with this entry in their long-running Peekarama series. This entry features two very different films from prolific adult film director Shaun Costello. Afternoon Delights is one of the best of the vignette films that was ever made by the adult film industry and Slave of Pleasure, the third and final entry in the Dan McCord series, is a hokey detective tale. This release is worth picking up for Afternoon Delights alone. Vinegar Syndrome has done a beautiful job with the audio and video quality on this release. [read the full review]

Playgirls of Munich is a fun comedic adult film that follows the continued adventures of buffoons Barney and Chuck as they once again tramp through Europe. Playgirls of Munich is a rare entity in the adult film world, a sequel that follows the original and keeps the same main characters. Playgirls of Munich is well worth watching and shouldn't be missed. Vinegar Syndrome has done an acceptable job with their steaming-only release of Playgirls of Munich on Exploitation.TV with good audio quality and acceptable video quality. [read the full review]

Double Your Pleasure (CalVista) review summaries:
fu_q's
review from 4/9/2009:
"Double Your Pleasure" is a DVD re-release of the notorious late-70s title of the same name. What makes this film controversial is that it is one of the few offerings available in which true, identical twin sisters engage in a sex act with each other (they partake in an actual, incestuous act). The twins in this case are the Young twins, Brooke and Taylor, who also appeared in another film together, "Teenage Twins". The plot here revolves around the twins, their uncle (who believes that they may have stolen money from him before running away), a private investigator (who is tasked with following the twins), and a number of other characters that they encounter along the way. This is a 70s porno, so there are no condoms involved, but there is plenty of bush to go around. The scenes tend to be shorter, and the plot tends to be heavier than in most modern adult films. If you are looking for a decent 70s flick, or are interested in the novelty of twin-sex, then this film is for you. [read the full review]

Upon finding herself abandoned after a gang rape at the hands of hunters out in the woods, a young prostitute (Bree Anthony) trains in the martial arts under the tutelage of a kung fu master (C.J. Laing) who happens upon her. Intent on defending themselves from the likes of such men, Laing and her group of followers work diligently at their craft, honing their abilities and guarding against threats...even to the point of directly taking on a well-trained monk (Tony Richards) whom they encounter in the forest. Such is the case in "The Vixens of Kung Fu", a decent, 1975 release from Alpha Blue and director Lin Cho Chiang. [read the full review]

Dracula Exotica is a fun film from the beginning of the eighties. It combines a fun original story, with nicely done sex scenes, great locations, and some light comedy to create a film that is definitely worth checking out. Let Me Count the Lays review summaries:
Flash's
review from 5/10/2016:
Let Me Count the Lays is an early adult feature film which is composed mostly of previously made loops and scenes from other existing films. Walt Davis did a good job of stitching together the scenes to create a film with a narrative that could almost pass itself as a new film and is far from the worst that came out from the era. As to whether the film is worth watching, I guess that depends on the viewers themselves. Caballero has done a decent job with the video and audio on this release but heavily skimped on the extras. review from 5/22/2018:
A young heiress, played by the blonde beauty, Catharine Burgess, finds herself becoming more and more despondent, as her sexual obsession with a possessed mirror in the attic of her childhood manor grows. Of course, the mirror itself serves as a conduit to Hell, and its demonic inhabitant, played deftly by the master thespian himself, Jamie Gillis, is intent on beckoning her to the other side, where it can both own her soul and her sexuality for eternity. In so doing, it takes on the form of Catharine's deceased father, for whom her feelings are "complicated", at best, and whether she will ultimately succumb to its erotic seductions or escape from its clutches and return to a normal (albeit boring) life becomes the question of the day. Such is the case in "Through the Looking Glass", an exceptional, 1976 release from Video-X-Pix and director Jonas Middleton. [read the full review]

review from 1/18/2017:
Between the appearance of an ever-ready, Elvis-like milkman (Sonny Landham) who sexually services the women of the neighborhood and a returning, free-spirited, 18 year-old-cousin (Jenny Baxter), life is certainly about to get a whole lot less mundane for a trio of young, suburban women. Such is the case for Crystal Sync and Marlene Willoughby, both sexually frustrated and prone to frequent masturbation, and their promiscuous friend, Nancy Dare, in "The Trouble with Young Stuff", an exceptional, 1976 release from VCX and director Joe Sarno. Joe Sarno (here as Otis Hamlin) writes and directs THE TROUBLE WITH YOUNG STUFF (1976) as farm girl Alice Anne (Crystal Sync) takes in her younger cousin Matilda (Jenny Baxter) who disrupts the order between the two couples living in the apartment. Sarno has been down this road before creating terrific features (both hard and soft core) that use an oversexed female as the catalyst for most of the film's sexual activities. In this hardcore production, he mixes lesbian encounters with blowjob and some straight sex action as the out-of-work female characters carry on in their bedrooms with little time spent outside their apartment. 1 hour 36 minutes. Standard frame. [read the full review]

review from 5/10/2006:
One of the best hardcore films ever made, Through The Looking Glass is a beautifully shot, masterfully directed, wonderfully scored, amazingly edited, and astoundingly well acted gem of a film. Softcore star Catherine Erhardt stars as Catherine, a rich socialite who is obsessed with her deceased father (played magnificently by Jamie Gillis). Ignoring the affection of her husband (Douglas Wood) and her daughter Jennifer (Laura Nicholson, who was 16 when this film was made), Catherine spends all of her free time upstairs in her attic, masturbating to objects which remind her of her father. One evening, while engaging in such activity, she thinks she notices an apparition, resembling her father, inside the mirror. [read the full review]

Introduction: Updated on March 3, 2003 to include screenshots. Note that the quality of these screenshots is, unfortunately, indicative of the poor AV quality of the DVD transfer. This is a "companion" review to Flash's review from a couple of weeks ago. I say "companion" because, in general, I'm not going to give duplicate technical information about this title - that is all easily accessible in Flash's submission. The purpose of this review is to offer an alternative viewpoint from which to consider the merits of the movie. Ironically, I never would have written this review at all were it not for the fact that I'd just purchased this movie (based on some Internet research) and then almost immediately after receiving it happened to see Flash's review. What's even more remarkable is that I'm not a regular ADT follower so the odds that I would have gone to this site on a day when his review was in the "recent" list were very small. VCX's library contains some of the best classics of all time, especially with their recent acquisitions of TVX and Collectors film libraries. Unfortunately, many of their prints are in horrible shape. Due to the film itself and the transfer here I have a hard time recommending this film to anyone except die-hard fans of the film. The only decent part of the disc is the fact that it does appear to contain the uncut version of the film. [read the full review]

review from 12/15/2017:
Afternoon Delights is an excellent vignette feature film from prolific golden age director Shaun Costello. Costello put as much work into the non-sexual portions of the film as the sexual portions of the filmmaking Afternoon Delights feel, even though the sex scenes really aren't connected, like they all are connected and that the film is one continuous story. Afternoon Delights is well-worth watching. Caballero has done a less than stellar job with their DVD release of Afternoon Delights with an underwhelming video sourced transfer. [read the full review]
