And it's AVN nominated movie time again, as we dive into the big pile of movies to watch/review. And being a fan of the Dorcel stuff, and with both Clea and Claire included in the cast, you have my attention even more. As far as the movie goes, it's kind of all over, like I said there is some highlighting of both of my favs, sadly we get some rather short scenes in a row with Clea, but still it's more Clea when you think about it. I did question if this was actually showcasing Lana, she did seem to have some longer scenes when I think about it. Plenty of repeat scenes as well, which kind of take away the heat at times. Another thing I enjoy about diving into the AVN pile, I get to watch/review a few of the Marc Dorcel movies, and this was one of their bigger releases. And we got the added advantage of Megan Rain joining the lovely cast of Dorcel regulars. And I think that both Mina and Megan did a nice job of leading the cast in this movie. I do need to point out that I would have loved to see a longer cut of this movie, sadly with about 8 scenes and a run time around 1 hour and 50 minutes, we don't get to spend much time with any of the scenes. Unfortunately it's also got a lot of dialogue and acting that are bad even for porn. Using a mix of color and black and white, it's visually innovative for porn, but in terms of sexual content it's still very much a by-the-numbers Private production (with a lot of focus on anal sex). This compilation DVD claims to include 50 girls displayed over more than two hours. That may well be, but I lost track after about 20 scenes. As usual with the Euros, they do not identify the performers. Which is a shame, because many of the girls are downright beautiful. The least attractive girls would have to be considered good looking. I would like to obtain some of the original features based on what I saw here. But, alas, Ill never figure out who these girls are, nor the original features the scenes were clipped from. Note: a cast list is included in the DVD extras, but it is impossible to follow after the first four scenes. This is one of Private's remastered (a.k.a., copied from VCR quality video) story collections which were made from scenes from main feature movies; this was released in 2004. The scenes were all shot in 1995, so the video quality isn't very good. Scene 1 (Simone) Simone (a short-haired redhead) goes on a tour of a mountain ski resort w/ 3 guys. Review: Private , since the last year, is doing a good thing to increment their sellings: every month they release a DVD Pack of a trilogy of films with a sampler, or a pack with 4 or 6 films with common things. This one,The Pyramid Trilogy , which packs in three parts the whole thing, was one of the earliest. But even knowing that these films are quite "old" (from 1996, in DVD from 2001), I decided to buy it. The results are not bad at all. The Pyramid 1 I think the beginning of the Private "big era" started with this film, a huge super production filmed in Egypt, with some problems which you probably know. As far as adult films go, The Pyramid trilogy is a good set combining high production values, hot sex and a decent story. The only problem that I have with the trilogy is the ending is a complete let down. If you like plot driven adult entertainment, this is the way to pick up the trilogy as it gives you all three films, plus a sampler disc, for one lower price.
