Maybe by luck rather than design, Pierre manages to zoom in on Deborah's

Philippe Soine in a good scene from Woodman's classic The Gigolo 2. Unusually,
a condom is used as Deborah takes up more of Philippe's attention, vaginal

to have been slightly edited for length.

Ah, Natacha! The musically talented Ukrainian looks so fresh faced and
beautiful in this interview, she's positively shining! Giving her name
as "Vicky", she is brunette, curvy and lightly tanned but it's her charming

Of interest to close observers of her career will be the photo shoot,
where Natacha is teamed up with Akim (Alain Deloin) and Jean-Yves Le Castel.
This is just "on-set" coverage rather than all-out action, but still intriguing
to see that Natacha has some difficulty with the anal - though nothing
like the problems she had in a ghastly scene in Assman 4 in which Le Castel
and his cronies are truly beastly to this utterly delectable girl. Fortunately,
this scene goes reasonably smoothly, and indeed Natacha quite gleefully

This American girl, of Chinese heritage (what an original stage name),
is pretty up front about her interests - this is proving to be one of
the more revealing editions of Castings in terms of girls' motivation
for their porn careers. What was it that Abba sang about? No, not A Man

Now of course the hottest topic when it comes to discussing this series
is the infamous Woodman initiation scene, where Pierre takes a "virgin"

I really have some sympathy with the argument that says that the girls
can't act the part this well - frankly, it's clear that blonde Russian
beauty Yelena is nervous, uncertain and absolutely not up for it, and

(or words to that effect)…I can't emphasise this any more - if this doesn't
sound like your cup of tea, then please don't buy it. Really. Don't.
If on the other had, like me, you are interested to know what it is that
makes these lovely girls hanker after a sexual life in front of the lens,
there's a little more in this edition to help make some more sense of
it. Is it the money, the fame, the travel? Well, the clues are there and
the girls are delightful, so there's plenty to interest and excite if
this is your scene. What might also be interesting is an "after they were
porn stars" to show what the likes of lovely Natacha are up to now, and
what they made of their porn experience.
DVD Comments
Limitations of some very rudimentary source footage for the interviews
notwithstanding, the quality is okay and the sound is acceptable, though
the subtitles are as useful. The menus are in the usual, consistent style
with a reasonable selection of extras backing up the language and subtitle
options. There's a profile for each girl with links to a photo set (usually
the ones shown in the on-set coverage, so you can compare and contrast)
for most girls, and a link to her casting scene. There are trailers, a
Woodman photo gallery and a DVD Rom section.
