Private Castings 37: Claudia Ricci Review

Can anyone actually say what is good and what is bad in porn? Of course not. For every stroker who likes abusive, hard-charging sex there is another who likes softer, more couples oriented features. Luckily there is enough variety out there to make just about everyone happy.

Then there is the Private “Castings” series. As broad-minded as I like to think of myself, I cannot fathom anyone enjoying this series. There are nine scenes in this edition (if you count a short strip tease in the finale) and I found myself fast forwarding through most of it.

Each scene opens with (supposedly) the first interview director Pierre Woodman conducted with each girl before she went on to make movies. The interviews are repetitious and boring. Pierre speaks poor English, and few of the girls speak any at all. So we have to wait for an interpreter to do her thing before and after each response. Yawn! And the questions are right out of junior high school journalism class:

Pierre: “Do you like boys better than girls?”
(Interpreter)
Girl: “Uh, no.”

Each girl then does a brief strip tease and the interview ends (thank goodness). Next we view the girl in a scene snipped from a Private movie. Lastly, we see some other titles the girl has starred in.

In typical Euro fashion, all the scenes are mini-orgies – g/g/b, g/b/b, g/b/b/b, g/g/b/b/b, etc. The Euros, apparently, are not turned on with just one girl and one guy in a bed alone. It’s probably cheaper to make a scene with several (or many) performers than a one-on-one.

Three of the scenes aren’t even snipped from features. They are Behind the Scenes-type videos of – believe it or not – magazine photo shoots! So we see the girl and her fellow performers simply staring at photographers as they snap away. There’s really no active sex shown, just people posing for pictures. Is this erotic to anyone out there?

The only one-on-one action involves Pierre (who apparently gets to screw one girl in each of these volumes) and a mildly protesting girl (Julia). Even this has its problems, as Pierre kicks the interpreter out of the room, mounts the camera about 10 feet from the bed, then jumps the girl’s bones. This amateur production makes Ed Powers look like an Oscar winner.

What little actual sex is shown is okay if you like DPs, anals, and facials. But none of these girls are particularly beautiful (the one saving grace for most Euro smut).

I don’t know above the rest of you pervs out there, but I have a hard time finding anything remotely erotic or hot about this series. At least if you fall asleep watching it, you won’t feel you missed anything.
