Dracula Sucks (Vinegar Syndrome) review summaries:

"Dracula Sucks"...and so does the movie. Despite featuring a veritable Who's Who of the Golden Age of adult films (with the likes of Annette Haven, Seka, Serena, Kay Parker, Jamie Gillis, Paul Thomas, John Leslie, etc. onboard), this film still manages to fall flatter than piss on a plate in just about every conceivable manner. Dracula Sucks is an odd, high budget, and very fun adult film, which could have only come out of the 1970s adult film industry. While constantly trying to straddle the line of mainstream comedy and adult horror, and never 100 percent succeeding at any of these tasks, the end result is a unique experience that has a lot to offer viewers looking for more than just copulation. The print isn't perfect, but is better than any release prior. [read the full review]

Erotic Adventures Of Dickman & Throbbin, The review summaries:
fu_q's
Possessing special powers that allow them to turn both frigid housewives and uninterested daughters into naughty nymphomaniacs with but a single fuck, Dickman (John Holmes) and Throbbin (Tom Byron) spread the love in "The Erotic Adventures of Dickman and Throbbin". An otherwise-good, 1986 release from Western Visuals and Jerome Tanner, the version of this flick available at adultempire.com as a part of their (...excellent, I might add...) unlimited streaming service seems to be missing the last few scenes (at least according to the scene list at iafd.com). Interestingly, a quick check of various other digital porn providers seems to indicate that this is the rule and not the exception. This sad decision on someone's part, of course, means that the plot is cut short, as is the sex. That said, what is included is still hot, and the Amber Lynn, Tom Byron, John Holmes boinking remains intact. While it's difficult to fully recommend a heavily cut version of a film, this one is still fun. [read the full review]

Nothing to Hide (Cal Vista) review summaries:
fu_q's
When his simple best friend, Richard Pacheco, finds love in the arms of a young woman and begins to drift away, a rough-around-the-edges, smooth-talking, hard-fucking womanizer, John Leslie, is left to deal with feelings of emptiness quite unfamiliar to him. Such is the case in "Nothing to Hide 1", an exceptional, 1981 release from director Anthony Spinelli and Cal Vista. [read the full review]

Tired of police harassment and the daily grind of the life, a group of big city prostitutes led by the utterly gorgeous, aspiring comedian, Nancy Suiter, goes about moving their illicit trade off of the streets and into a taxicab company. Of course, the company takes off like wildfire, which--itself--brings about its own slew of problems. Such is the case in "Taxi Girls" (81 min, 42 sec), an exceptional, 1979 release from VCX and director Jourdan Alexander. [read the full review]

Seeking inspiration, a good, ole-fashioned "who done it?" unfolds when a trashy, though popular, writer (John Leslie) and his lovely wife (Gina Carrera) take a trip across Europe on the Orient Express railway. Of course, along the way, a priceless gem is stolen, a murder is committed, and plenty of naughty nookie goes on. Heat Of The Moment (VCX) review summaries:

Sex, swinging, and all types of erotic fun result when John Holmes, who's having an affair on his wife, finds his yellow jeep stolen whilst out shopping one day. The automobile's ultimate path back to him bounces it from one sexy scenario to another, serving as a mechanism for conveying the sex and giving the viewer more than an eyeful. Such is the case in the decent, though plot-light, porn flick of yesteryear, "Heat of the Moment". [read the full review]

It seems like just about everyone is fucking everyone else, and those who aren't fucking are peeking in on those who are, in "I Like To Watch", a very good, 1982 release from Caballero and director Paul G. Vatelli. While a television fashion show that Pat Manning is putting on with the aid of her lovely, brunette assistant, Bridgette Monet, serves as the backdrop for this sexual escapade, it's truly its finely-captured and well-played erotic encounters that set it apart. All bets are off when three young women, each with her own life issues, hopes, and dreams, finish their first year of college and decide that it's time to take life by the balls and experience whatever's out there. Of course, "experience" means excessive drinking, some drug use, partying, and plenty of hot, steamy sex...both straight and lesbian...all to the benefit of the viewer at home. Such is the case in "Sweet Young Foxes", an overall-good, 1983 release from VCX and director Bob Chinn. [read the full review]

Although Sweet Young Foxes is a good film, I have trouble recommending this disc due to the poor video quality of the transfer. The film will be liked by those who like a plot with their sex, couples, fans of the classics and those who like to sit down and watch a whole adult film. The film will not be liked by those who hate a plot with their porn and fans of nasty sex. If you are interested in purchasing the film, I recommend a rental first. [read the full review]

One of the best American hardcore films ever made (by director Gary Graver) has been given a TERRIBLE DVD release by Caballero. A true genre masterpiece which features masterful performances from Veronica Hart, Richard Bolla, and especially Lisa DeLeeuw and Samantha Fox. A superior film in every respect which deserves a lot more than it has gotten on DVD. For that reason, pay more and get an old VHS. [read the full review]

Here is a Harold Lime/Robert McCallum classic from 1982 that is still famous over 20 years later. It won six adult film critic awards, including best picture. Because it was filmed near the end of the "golden age," there aren't quite as many exterior shots as there would have been in movies a few years older. The plot involves a madam named Amanda (Veronica Hart) who, as a favor to her former pimp and lover (Jamie Gillis), sets up an S & M session for a local politician. The girls that she sends for this session (Lisa de Leeuw and Samantha Fox) are later found dead. R. Bolla plays the straight-arrow homicide detective trying to solve the case, without much help from Amanda. To make matters worse, there's a corrupt vice squad cop (Ron Jeremy) who is constantly getting in the way. By today's standards, this is couples' fare, with relatively short sex scenes, and loads of plot. It's so good-hearted, it could almost be on the Family Channel. Veronica Hart gets to over-act and ham it up ridiculously. It's a good movie, but a poor DVD. [read the full review]
