Synopsis:
Three California college students, Laura (Hyapatia Lee), Kim (Cindy Carver) and Maggie (Cara Lott) who are lonely and unfulfilled, attend a party to put a spark back in their lives.

Video/Audio:
Sweet Young Foxes is presented in a full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which might be its original aspect ratio. Nothing in the film indicated that it had been reprocessed for a television screen and from the age of the film it could have been originally in the full screen or standard aspect ratio or in widescreen. The picture is far from reference quality and is worse than it should be considering the age of the film. The picture had proliferate video glitches that appear to have been on the source tape. The color levels are slightly light as well, but that is forgivable given the age of the film.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Mono track, which had a flat sound, as one would expect from such a track. For the age of the film, the track is of good quality and you can always hear the dialog over the music. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are nine chapters available from the main menu for Sweet Young Foxes. Although the box says that there is an animated jump to a scene feature, the chapters are identified only by still pictures. Knowing the film, the pictures allow the viewer to find the area they are looking for on the disc. There is a time code for this feature, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
Despite the claim on the box that there are photo shots on the disc, VCX has filled the disc with an amazing zero extra features. That's right, nothing at all for extra features, even the one promised on the box is absent.

Review:
Sweet Young Foxes is a film from the end of the golden age that is reminiscent of the 80s mainstream sex comedies. Even down to the music used in the film. The film contains an original title song and some songs in the film all from an unknown band with that sound that could only come from the early eighties. Instead of working against the film, the music presented here adds to the experience helping Sweet Young Foxes be the fun film that it is. There is some nice camera work present here as well.

The story, although nothing complex, is enjoyable and moves the film along. The story can get boring at times and thus cause the film to lag in certain parts, but not enough to ruin the whole film. There is enough of a story line present to irritate viewers that hate having a story with their porn.

The film contains a nice looking cast that interacts well with each other. A drawback is Ron Jeremy is in the film, he is hairy here but not as heavy as he is to become. Overall, the cast may be hairier in the genital area than some viewers might like. The acting in the film is above average for that of an adult film.

The sex is well done but rather tame which some viewers might not like. The sex scenes are also rather short, something that was popular at the time but doesn't always go over well with the viewers of today. Additionally, some of the sex scenes, especially at the end of the film, are intercut with each other, which will bother some viewers. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal, oral and lesbian sex.

The Money Shot:
Although Sweet Young Foxes is a good film, I have trouble recommending this disc due to the poor video quality of the transfer. The film will be liked by those who like a plot with their sex, couples, fans of the classics and those who like to sit down and watch a whole adult film. The film will not be liked by those who hate a plot with their porn and fans of nasty sex. If you are interested in purchasing the film, I recommend a rental first.
