Description Originally released in 1992, this is true gonzo fun, with a hand held camera and a sense of humor. Buttman is down on his luck, dumpster diving for snacks after being evicted from his plywood shack. Down to his last nickel, he wanders the streets in holey grandma slippers, carrying his camera and a sack of his video tapes. Even though he doesn't know where his next meal is coming from, and he would feel lucky to be allowed to sleep in the back of your car at night, he is easily distracted from his purpose every time a girl walks by with her ass cheeks hanging out of her cutoffs. General Impression Cooly retro, this is a good movie for the nostalgic. It is peopled by -- uh -- people. Real people, the non-airbrushed type, with freckled chests, peachfuzz, panty lines, and all that. The women range from the voluptuous Heather (a cross between Lucy Lawless and Monica Lewinsky, or something like that), to the older and skinnier Lorrin (who reminds me of my maternal grandmother who lived on cigarettes and coffee). I used to have a VHS copy of John Leslie's Chameleon, in which Tori Welles seemed to have the ability to change shape at will - although there was a certain element of ambiguity about the events that no reviewer has seemed to pick up on. What exactly was real? The not-sequel from 1992 features Deidre Holland and Rocco Siffredi as a couple of vampiric shape-changers and Ashlyn Gere as an adventurous woman who is seduced and intrigued by them. The plot is less ambiguous this time around, although not exactly mainstream. I suppose the viewer is aided by the obvious loans from other movies, most obviously Tony Scott's The Hunger. Watching the movie I was struck by a realization of how much I had been missing real and intriguing plots in porn. Chameleons is by no means a perfect movie - I did not get the opening scene, which appears to be taken from an entirely different kind of movie. Lincoln Cast: Celeste, Kylie Ireland, Steffi, Kristina West, Trinity Lane, Marc Wallice, Woody Long, Randy West, Tom Byron, & Nick East Extras: Bios of almost everybody in the movie, photo gallery, and trailers Audio Quality: Poor. You can barely hear much of the dialogue and many of the scenes have a lot of background noise. Video Quality: Very good. There are few signs of pixelation. Music: Most of it is pretty average. Initial Expectations: A brainless movie with good sex. Initial Reaction: If there was any less plot, it'd be a compilation movie. At least the sex was really good. Review: With both Celeste and Kylie Ireland in 'Sexy Nurses 2', I knew I had to watch it. Like most of Celeste's movies that I've seen, there isn't much plot, but the sex makes up for it.
