Review brief: Can anyone actually say what is good and what is bad in porn? Of course not. For every stroker who likes abusive, hard-charging sex there is another who likes softer, more couples oriented features. Luckily there is enough variety out there to make just about everyone happy. Then there is the Private Castings series. As broad-minded as I like to think of myself, I cannot fathom anyone enjoying this series. There are nine scenes in this edition (if you count a short strip tease in the finale) and I found myself fast forwarding through most of it. Each scene opens with (supposedly) the first interview director Pierre Woodman conducted with each girl before she went on to make movies. The interviews are repetitious and boring. Pierre speaks poor English, and few of the girls speak any at all. So we have to wait for an interpreter to do her thing before and after each response.

Review brief: Sex Tape Scandal #1 and #2 (a two-disc set) feature some very hot Euro girls and not much else. The plot and storyline are stupid, the voiceover dubbing atrocious, and the sex is on the tepid side. Plot summation: Government agents (the country is not identified) must retrieve a tape showing a high-ranking officials sister (Melinda) having sex to avoid a scandal. Thats it! Fast forward through the acting and get to the sex. Among the beautiful women bumping uglies here are Chrystal, Angel, Drimla, and Lucy Love (Volume #1) as well as Violetta, Jane Darling, and Lucy Lee (Volume #2). None of the other girls are unattractive, only a small step below those mentioned above. There are the mandatory Euro orgies (a five-way and two four-ways). Theres plenty of anal action and facials. Director Patrick Handsome is proving to be a solid, if unspectacular, porn maker. As if identifying Euro stars isnt hard enough, on the box cover for Volume #2, most of the girls are misidentified.

Review brief: A Touch of Pink (aka The Best of Precious Pink) is a compilation of scenes from the Hustler series Precious Pink. Having never viewed this series, its difficult for me to say whether this is really a collection of the best scenes, or just a mish-mash of stuff thrown together to make a buck (like New Machines comps). What is known is that one of the girls seen here (Yvette Nieves from Volume #5) may be one of the most gorgeous girls ever to suck a dick on camera. Were talking drop dead category. This streaked brunette has a fantastic, natural body (no tats), perfect breasts, huge eyes, and a smile to die for. Absolute perfection! Review brief: North Pole #53 isnt up to the usual high standards of this fine, solid series, but it aint bad! Volume #53 has a couple good looking girls (brunette Jassie James and blonde Sammie Rhodes), two who have made a few too many trips to the tattoo parlor for my taste (Allie Sin and Sanna), and one semi-cutie who needs to start eating at Subway (Sabina Black). All five vignettes get right to the action with little or no dialogue (always a good thing!). The sets are easy on the eyes (no dim warehouses or grimy garages), the lighting is good, and the camera always seems to capture the best angles of the ladies. As for the sex, Jassie does Sergio; Allie takes on Peter North; Sanna fucks Lee Stone; Sammie Rhodes gets Peter (again); and Sabina romps with Clark (no last name). Allie does anal and all the girls take facials, with Allie swallowing her load.

Review brief: This is only my second Red Light District DVD, and after having been blown away by the content of Elastic Assholes Im looking forward to a quality product. ANGELINA CROW: Tease is good, tease is fun but very rarely is the initial tease section actually hotter than the full-on sex that follows: this is one of those rare occasions. Angelina Crow looks absolutely stunning in a little black dress, leaning over and exposing her big round butt cheeks. What makes this scene even better however is the fact that this is shot in broad daylight in a Budapest city square with police and tourists observing (and even posing for some holiday snaps). The audio is very nicely done. Its clear and well balanced, and the only thing that interferes with it being perfect is a few of the locations causing some slight echoes. The video is also extremely well done.

Review brief: NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies dont have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. Im rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also arent normally the glamour stars one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as its often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesnt have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what theyre doing to have fun and because they enjoy it.

Review brief: "A Gay Man's take on Straight Porn" I really had liked Paul Thomas's "Heart Breaker" and thought this one sounded interesting. Was it what I expected? Well... The Movie: Normally I would go through the sex scenes, and the plot, but the thing is, the sex is pretty constant, and the plot really is the important part here. So, I'm going to treat this more as a maintstream review. The basic premise of this movie is that Inari Vachs and Bobby Vitale are couple. They start the movie as very wild and drugged out, having sex in front of Bobby's porn models, and fucking other people in front of each other. Things are pretty hot and nasty between the two. That is until Thanksgiving. Kobi is having it at her house, and we are introduced to one more important character, Doug (I forget the performer's name). Review brief: "A Gay Man's take on Straight Porn" I've had on and off experiences with Vivid in the past, but I had really wanted to see how Chi Chi LaRue did with straight porn, having had some experience with his gay titles, so, I picked up Sentenced. The Movie: This has to be one of the hottest movies I have seen in a while! I mean, I have never seen performers just go wild like this on camera, and it really was worth it. The story is fairly simple. Sex is a crime, and Steven St. Croix is the one dishing out the punishment. The way he does this is by putting them in a coma, and then monitoring the criminals dreams and thoughts. Sunrise Adams comes in as his new assistant. Review brief: With a few minor edits, Barely Legal Innocence #1 could be an X-rated flick fit for hotel rooms instead of a XXX-rated flick for strokers. Call this Porn Lite! In typical Clive McLean style, the cameraman remains about 25 from the sex action, thereby giving us great shots of the surrounding scenery, but not much in the way of close-ups. My major complaint with McLean throughout his illustrious career is that he seems to be so proud of the sets he utilizes that he insists on showing us these panoramic shots instead of in-your-face close-ups. As for the sex, cute blonde Keri Sable starts things off with Nick Manning, who finally looks decent with his new, shorter haircut. This is a great scene, full of heat and enthusiasm. Keri never looked so good. She rides Nick (both CG and RC) like shes on a Disneyland thrill ride and takes a good facial. Very strong opener! Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there. Review brief: Undertow is a better than average porn flick. It features something rare indeed for the jizz biz good acting and a decent plot. Unfortunately, the cast doesnt put as much work into the sex as they do into their dialogue. Steven St. Croix, arguably the best actor in the industry today, is host of an underground TV show titles Thrill Kill Zone. The show deals with street racers. Because of his involvement in that sport, he is recruited by Dale DaBone to be an informant for the FBI as the agency tries to get the goods on Irish terrorist Evan Stone, who is also involved in the illegal races. This may be the first porn movie in history to include not one, but two, sword fights on a beach. No, not those kind of swords; real Japanese fighting swords. Theres pretty good editing as Evan and Steven battle on the sand and look convincing while doing it. But we watch porn for sex, and there just isnt enough heat among the performers to make it very interesting.

Review brief: Teen Fuck Holes Initial Thoughts: Well with a title like "Teen Fuck Holes", the idea behind the movie shouldn't be too hard to figure out, youthfull woman getting fucked. One of the keys to me in these themed movies, is to actually use young looking girls, too many times you see girls that are still probably pretty young, but are well past being 18-19 years old. This one though delivers very well, some really cute looking girls that for the most part are likely pre 20 years old. On top of that these are some pretty well known newer girls, and they put on quite the show, the male cast is about as strong as it gets in porn, and that really helps bring out the best in the ladies. Just about every scene starts out with a simple but fun script, and it borders on being mini vignettes for some of them, the sex is energetic and chemistry is strong at most instances. Extras are pretty nice with a bonus POV scene among them, and overall this was a very good disc.

Review brief: Steve Holmes' Perversions #2 Initial Thoughts: Man what a flick, this one pretty much gives it's all from the opening credits onward. The girls in this one are really some knockouts, and man do they get fucked all over the place. Some of the scenes have some nice setup that puts you in a near vignette piece, a couple of the scenes have some really neat sets, and every scene has some variety in it to the max. A three guys on a girl scene, a three guys on three girls scene, a one on one scene, a two guys on a girl scene, and a two girl on three guy scene. Great hard pounding energy in every scene, and you really can't ask for more than that, atleast I can't. Extras are a bit weak in this one, but it pretty much makes up for it by having a 150 minute feature length. A good trip inside the mind of Steve Holmes, and a great group of scenes. Technical Considerations:Picture quality is pretty good, so is camera work. Sound has some moments where it could have been clearer, and I'm a bit torn on the lighting, sometimes I like it sometimes I am not all that fond of it.

Review brief: I can resist anything except temptation, Oscar Wilde once wrote. Those who see Cameron Jackson on the cover of this DVD are not likely to resist purchasing it. Well, give in to the temptation! You are not going to be disappointed. I dont know what it isthe genes, the climate, the drinking waterthat makes the Czech Republic the breeding ground for so many beautiful men and boys, but here they are. Review brief: Teen Fuck Holes Initial Thoughts: Well with a title like "Teen Fuck Holes", the idea behind the movie shouldn't be too hard to figure out, youthfull woman getting fucked. One of the keys to me in these themed movies, is to actually use young looking girls, too many times you see girls that are still probably pretty young, but are well past being 18-19 years old. This one though delivers very well, some really cute looking girls that for the most part are likely pre 20 years old. On top of that these are some pretty well known newer girls, and they put on quite the show, the male cast is about as strong as it gets in porn, and that really helps bring out the best in the ladies. Just about every scene starts out with a simple but fun script, and it borders on being mini vignettes for some of them, the sex is energetic and chemistry is strong at most instances. Extras are pretty nice with a bonus POV scene among them, and overall this was a very good disc.

Review brief: Steve Holmes' Perversions #2 Initial Thoughts: Man what a flick, this one pretty much gives it's all from the opening credits onward. The girls in this one are really some knockouts, and man do they get fucked all over the place. Some of the scenes have some nice setup that puts you in a near vignette piece, a couple of the scenes have some really neat sets, and every scene has some variety in it to the max. A three guys on a girl scene, a three guys on three girls scene, a one on one scene, a two guys on a girl scene, and a two girl on three guy scene. Great hard pounding energy in every scene, and you really can't ask for more than that, atleast I can't. Extras are a bit weak in this one, but it pretty much makes up for it by having a 150 minute feature length. A good trip inside the mind of Steve Holmes, and a great group of scenes. Technical Considerations:Picture quality is pretty good, so is camera work. Sound has some moments where it could have been clearer, and I'm a bit torn on the lighting, sometimes I like it sometimes I am not all that fond of it.
