As befits the closing of an era, Private crammed this DVD full of scenes and provided better picture quality than seen in the preceding volumes. The long movie opens with dark, slender, exotic hostess Tchanka, who has since appeared in one of Woodmans Anal Intensive volumes. Shes the figure on the front cover (both sides, tame and explicit) clad in PVC gear, and while shes certainly attractive, something about her turns me off. However, shes only here to introduce the scenes, with her narration dubbed as is standard in this series.

This final entry in the Matador line is, appropriately enough, shot in Spain, the land where matadors originated. Jean Yves LeCastels Private movies have become quite classy, even as the quality of his Ana/Diabolic lines have declined. The movie opens with scenic shots of Barcelona, which perhaps not coincidentally is also the location of Privates international headquarters. Cutthroat businessman Steve Holmes is seen in his office, negotiating over the telephone. The camera pans out to reveal fan favorite Rita Faltoyano on her knees blowing him (Ive read that David Crosby used to conduct interviews this way, trying to impress reporters).

She looks good in a variety of costumes throughout the movie, and, if my lip reading is accurate, her English isnt especially good. As always, the words of the hostess are overdubbed by an American narrator. Shes as annoying as in previous volumes, but fortunately is given less to say. Monica looks to be 16, she tells Woodman that she is 18, and her listing in the cast notes gives her age as 24. Shes petite, pale skinned, and very cute, with brown hair reaching down to the small of her back. She sits on a couch as Woodman interviews her, and gradually strips.

Review brief: Private Extreme : Bacchanal Directed by Jean Yves LeCastel Private Released early 2002 DVD Released Spring 2002 Cast : Daniela, Alissa, Katerina, Slavka, Jana, Myli, David Perry, Steve Holmes, Csoky Ice And so the Matador hunted no more. This was actually a much needed change, since LeCastel long ago stopped the inane shouts of Ole! whenever a gaping asshole was shown in his Private movies. Matador no longer had any significance as the title for a movie line, but was at least distinctive. I would have thought that Private could come up with a better replacement title than simply Private Extreme, but I suppose that this does illustrate that LeCastels movies have less plot and more anal-for-its-own sake than the companys other features. Really, nothing has changed from late generation Matador movies. Heres David Perry, driving through the countryside to the Hungarian wine region near Lake Balaton (southwest of Budapest). Theres Steve Holmes at the main building of the vinyard to greet Perry, who is his old friend both in the movie and in real life.

I have come to realize that these movies, now split among the Superfuckers, Hustler XXX, and Anal Intensive lines, are a decidedly mixed bag. The viewers perception will of course vary, depending on the collection of female talent (the same guys are in everything Woodman does), but it also does seem that Woodman sometimes puts more effort into his scenes than he does on other occasions. Superfuckers 10 sounds promising because it includes some women I particularly enjoy watching.

These days, hes turning off fans by spreading himself too thin for Hustler, diluting the quality of Superfuckers in his hurried need to shoot the number of scenes required to support three series of unrelated vignettes. But when he started Superfuckers in 1999, it seemed like a very good idea, as it gave his many admirers a chance to see lots of Woodman scenes in between releases of his features.

Review brief: Directed by Jean-Yves LeCastel Released on DVD 7/2001 Cast: Helen Birne, Kamila, Lea DeMae, Lucy, Venus, Monika Sweetheart, David Perry, Robert Rosenberg, Jean-Yves LeCastel LeCastel shoots two kinds of scenes. Sometimes, especially in his earlier work, he plays "stupid ass tricks" by having a bunch of guys tag team one or two girls. His other variation, more in evidence recently, is to have only 2-4 people, and to concentrate on intense, energertic sex instead of having five guys sodomize one girl for 20 seconds at a time. The first few Matador movies had a goofy atmosphere, as a bunch of silly guys got their rocks off by stuffing their cocks up the asses of women who were not always especially willing or good looking. Perhaps Private didn't give him much of a budget, but beginning with this effort, #5, things started to improve. We have our first hint that this will be a good movie when French businessman David Perry arrives at his Prague hotel.

The previews I've seen feature a gorgeous setting, and the later parts include many of my current favorite actresses. Obviously, this story takes place on the French Riviera, and I wonder what Woodman has in store for us? We start on a high note, as incredibly pretty, prefectly figured brunette Angelica Sweet arrives at the Cannes train station. She flags down a taxi and is driven around town. Meanwhile, Pascal St. James, his hair frosted to make him seem older, arrives at his fancy home and greets his family.

Review brief: Directed by Christoph Clark Released on DVD 6/2001 (on VHS circa 1997) Cast: Alison, Miluse, Eva, DominikaBaumanova, Lucie, Michaela, Sylvie (aka Sylvia Saint), Mishi, Kris Newz, Jean-Yves LeCastel, John Walton, Christoph Clark The Gaia series was Private's attempt to shed some of their hardcore, Euro-anal-fucking image, and collect a piece of the couples' market. This was the first movie in the Gaia line, and the concept was quickly considered a failure, so much so that by the final Gaia movie (#6 Profession: Porn Actress) Clark had already reverted to his usual boyz get their rocks off formula. What this and its successors have in common with Clark's The Perversion of Barbara and the Laure Sinclair movies he shot for Marc Dorcel is that all show his early style. In the mid-90's Clark, perhaps at the request of his producers, shot fast paced movies, with up to 8 separate scenes in 90 minutes. The focus was on showing pretty women, and the action was usually anal.

Why? The previous Indiana Mack movie was set in the Dominican Republic, and this one takes place in Israel. Regardless, director Kovi is seen in a tough dive bar, arm wrestling with Leslie Taylor (is he supposed to be the same criminal he was in part 1? I don't know...). Their prize is geisha (in South America? Whatever...) Laureen Kiss, who is almost unrecognizable in her white face makeup and black wig (she usually wears a natural looking brunette wig over her short, dyed-blonde hair). Laureen has a wonderful body, tight but curvy (shown off quite well in The Voyeur 18), and Leslie is fortunate she helps him win, since Kovi is a very large, probably quite strong man.

Some of the same cast reappears, and a few other performers were on hand that aren't in either movie, but shot additional scenes for the Private XXX series (Sharon Bright, for example). This one has a flimsy plot that works well enough as an excuse for the action. Handsome Csoky Ice is a Budapest-based documentary film maker, and his partner Dina Pearl arrives at their studio with the good news that their company has been commissioned to shoot a study of the Dominican Republic. Csoky and Dina celebrate by fucking on the console, after he slips a new tape into the player.

The ship, painted with the Private logo, sailed to various ports in the western part of the sea, where Nic Cramer shot intensive set- piece action sequences (and some mediocre sex) for the big budget Sex Seige. My impression is that Sex Voyage had to shoot what it could, when it could, resulting in a so-so movie, one that does not hold up to the Private standard. It doesn't help that the video quality is abyssmal for a DVD, under-lit and with mucho grain. Still, things can't be too bad when Dina Jewel is on hand as star.

He takes beautiful women to exotic or otherwise scenic locales, and then has them fucked silly in scenes that are high on anal content but low in heat. It is all well shot and everyone and everything looks great. Kovi seems intent on following the Woodman plan to the letter in the many movies he is making for Private these days. The only real difference is that his sex scenes are shorter, and it bothers me when he has the women stare into the camera (I can forgive it in Woodman movies, for some reason). This one is the beginning of a series that will parody Indiana Jones, and we start by seeing Nick Lang's Mack make a drunken fool of himself.

It was the former photographer's second feature, after the 3-part The Tower, and it was one of my first Private viewings. Back in 1996 it seemed incredibly wonderful and exciting, and I was quite annoyed that no store in my area ever carried The Gigolo 2. I contemplated purchasing the set, but for one reason or another always went with different titles. I finally took advantage of the chance to rent the DVD of The Gigolo 2 and scratch a 5-year old itch.

I had high hopes because of the beautiful cast, but I also remembered watching an Adamo video some months ago, and hating it due to the lack of heat in the sex scenes. As I watched Dangerous Things 1, I noticed again and again that Adamo put in touches that screamed out, "This is ART, dammit!" Subtlety gives way to ostentation. The movie begins with Sylvia Saint (gorgeous blonde Czech with a perfect body, as if you didn't know) describing the recent lack of success in her writing career. Actually, it is another actress with less of an accent, and her voice isn't nearly as sexy as Sylvia's. I wondered if this was a bad sign. As the voice over describes her love for her boyfriend, he appears in the person of David Perry.

Directed by Christophe Clarke Cast: Linda Thoren, Nikki Andersson, Judith Grant, Margarethe, Sophie, Adlie, Eva, Grety, Judit, Vanda, Andrea (aka Carly), Jean Yves LeCastel, Yves LaPrince, Leslie Taylor, Mike, Crhistophe Clarke Jean Yves Lecastel (JYL) and Yves LaPrince (YLP)are experienced French porn actors, who started making their own videos, most notably for Anabolic and Diabolic, around the time this was shot in late 1997. In this movie, they play French porn producers, who come to Budapest to have Christophe help them find gorgeous young women to screw and then cast in their movies. In reality, they are producers AND actors, who moved to Budapest cast gorgeous young women, and THEN screw them in their movies.

Review brief: Released on VHS 8/00, on DVD 12/00 Here's the cast: Sylvia Saint, Lea deMae, Katy (aka Kathy Heart & Brittany), Daniella Rush, Monica Moore, Monika (aka Monica) Sweetheart, Rumika, Sandra Russo, Tamara N-Joy (aka Tamara Sweet & Money), Chanel (might be Zita, or not actually in the movie), David Perry, George, Thomas Stone (not the American director), Guy DiSilva (aka DeSilva), Dick Nasty, Lexington Steele, Frank Thring (director of this movie) I should begin by pointing out that I'm not particularly a fan of either Sylvia Saint or Frank Thring's filmmaking, though I do recognize the talent of each, and can understand why both have many fans. As the movie opens, we see an American urban street at night. The Carl's Jr. sign is a dead give away, and it looked to me like Las Vegas. As I was thinking, "what the heck...?" a subtitle appeared explaining that this was Los Angeles. Next we see Lexington Steele, the black stallion, sitting on an obvious film set with a ball gag in his mouth, and with a scared look on his face.
