The Gigolo 1 was my introduction to Pierre Woodman. It was the former photographer's second feature, after the 3-part The Tower, and it was one of my first Private viewings. Back in 1996 it seemed incredibly wonderful and exciting, and I was quite annoyed that no store in my area ever carried The Gigolo 2. I contemplated purchasing the set, but for one reason or another always went with different titles. I finally took advantage of the chance to rent the DVD of The Gigolo 2 and scratch a 5-year old itch.
The action picks up right where part 1 left off, with dominatrix Gabrielle Scream (one of the few Americans to work for Private's European directors,I'm not counting the ones on Paul Little-Dick's sets) attaching a strap on and threatening to shove it up Tanya's supposedly virgin ass. Back when, this was a titillating concept, but anal play is more prevalent than ever these days, so the thrill no longer applies.
Still, Gabrielle and Tanya are both tight bodied beauties, Gabrielle with long reddish brown hair and acceptable fake breasts, and Tanya with shiny black hair. They look good fucking in doggy, though I wish Tanya's face was shown.
Meanwhile, slender, pretty maid Laura Catwoman is getting anally fucked by two guys in fetish gear (one is credited as "Akim," which is Woodman's frequent nickname for Alain Deloine, who works with him constantly). Gabrielle later puts a vibrator up her own ass, and a good time is had by all.
Tanya was with Gabrielle because gigolo Frank Versace had kidnapped her, at the request of her husband (Phillippe Soine, who has his hair dyed grey), who is in love with his mistress, played by Joy Kiss. I love Joy, she was always very happy and enthusiastic during her career, and for some reason, her bolt-ons never bothered me. She's even happy while fucking her driver, Italian troll Roberto Malone. She sucks him off eagerly, then gets a vaginal and anal pounding, smiling the whole time.
Tall, pretty Russian Krystina Lion is a postal carrier, and she heard and saw some suspicious activity around the mansion where Gabrielle molested poor Tanya. So she reports to the police, and is brought to the Horny Cops. Sneering Richard Langin and a heavily bearded Jean-Yves LeCastel play the duo in both parts, they are always rushing off to find pretty women and fuck them raw. They of couse put Krystina through the paces, and she obliges by taking them in every orifice. She has lovely long blonde hair, but we can see that her small breast enhancement is still too big for her thin frame. But she looks good and has fun.
Soine loves his mistress, but he fool around with prostitutes at every opportunity. We see him with ok looking Datse Walrout and with Stella Rossi, who really looks the part. Sione wears a condom as he eventually anals both, in scene that did nothing for me.
Versace's gigolo is blackmailing Soine, promising to kill Tanya (as Soine wants) in return for plenty of cash. The Horny Cops know something is up, and so they rush to find and fuck Gabrielle, but have to make due with maid Laura Catwomen and trshy but cute visitor Andrea Szabo. These Hungarian women know how to do porno, and look pretty good in the standard vag- anal-DP sequence, but there isn't any heat.
Soine believes Tanya dead, but gets dumped by Joy and dies of a heart attack. In fact, Versace and Tanya have slipped off for a life of ease together, with Soine's money in their bank account. We see them in Geneva, as they celebrate their good fortune with an energetic fuck. Tanya of course is gorgeous, but Versace has never gotten the proper credit as one of the best male performers of the 1990's. He was young, decent looking, and could stay hard forever, even after cumming. His pairing with Gabrielle Scream in The Gigolo 1 remains one of Private's best scenes ever, and this one isn't too far behind. Tanya isn't the most enthusiastic performer ever, which can be excused due to her effort and good looks, and she gives Versace a work out with her mouth, pussy, and ass. The Latvian's never looked better than this series, since for the following The Pyramid, she shaved her eyebrows and pencilled in fake ones that fit her ancient Egyptian character. The eyebrows still hadn't grown back when the Tatiana series was shot, and after that she retired to be Woodman's wife, and the makeup artist on his sets (check the credits to his movies).
The Gigolo 2 hasn't aged as well as I expected. The video quality is high, and the action well shot, as in most of what Woodman produces. But I found the women in this volume underwhelming, compared to the first part and to Woodman's later work. Anyone who enjoys Woodman movies should still rent both parts of The Gigolo, and the series remains a good introduction to what Private is all about, but I expected to keep my rental, and ended up returning it.
