This 2 disc compilation set from Private is probably going to be over-looked by a lot of gonzo fans. Private's status with mainstream porn consumers as the equivalent of what Vivid Video was in the late 90s is probably to be expected. Still, there are several noteworty scenes included in this collection, some of which are must-see quality. The scenes breakdown as follows; DISC ONEScene 1: Katja Kean, Anastasia, Brigita, Andrew Youngman. from Fatal Orchid, 11/1997 d: Pierre Woodman This clip shows a young Katja in some slightly low-light, indoor conditions but adequate video quality. I should clarify that average picture quality for most Private scenes is usually better than average quality for gonzo. The exceptions are usually due to the older, original source material (eg., analog video from the pre-digital era). The scene is a fairly hot, 3 girl-1 guy with some RC-anal from Katja. Private must have decided it was time to cash in one last time...errr, I mean pay loving tribute to The Woodman. In a big way this is part 1 of a big ol 10 part series (Private proclaims them to be breathtaking) on the life and times of Pierre Woodman. This one has tons of interviews with Woodman and what must be behind the scenes footage all put together with some voiceover narration. Within the movie you get this mixed in with 6 best of sex scenes, such as a scene from Tatiana, a scene from The Pyramid (the great 3 part series though I didnt think the scene presented was that great) and what looks to be a Nikki Anderson fucking from a Private Castings movie (possibly her first anal?) This last one features Woodman and a locked down camera so it isnt very interesting. In the end, I dont think his best work is represented here, but they have 9 more in the series to prove it. This greatest hits package from Private reveals that most Euros only screw outdoors and with more than one partner preferably four or five. This is a compilation of compilations. There are six discs in the pack, each titled as though they were sold separately at one time: Do It, Solid Gold, Millennium, Private Odyssey, Sex Non-Stop, and Private 24-Karat. Each disc features around a dozen scenes, with Millennium offering 24, although calling some of the sex romps scenes is stretching the definition of that word. The map leads them to an ancient sarcophagus containing Amira, the Egyptian Goddess of Love (Tania Russof), who has been asleep for 4,000 years. Review: Private , since the last year, is doing a good thing to increment their sellings: every month they release a DVD Pack of a trilogy of films with a sampler, or a pack with 4 or 6 films with common things. This one,The Pyramid Trilogy , which packs in three parts the whole thing, was one of the earliest. But even knowing that these films are quite "old" (from 1996, in DVD from 2001), I decided to buy it. The results are not bad at all. The Pyramid 1 I think the beginning of the Private "big era" started with this film, a huge super production filmed in Egypt, with some problems which you probably know. As far as adult films go, The Pyramid trilogy is a good set combining high production values, hot sex and a decent story. The only problem that I have with the trilogy is the ending is a complete let down. If you like plot driven adult entertainment, this is the way to pick up the trilogy as it gives you all three films, plus a sampler disc, for one lower price. Viewers that don't like a plot or don't want to see some country side scenery will want to pass on this title. For all others, this trilogy is highly recommended. [read the full review]
