Synopsis:
Wanting to keep the treasure for himself, the corrupt Minister of Culture (Alain Deloin) has Elysabeth (Angelica Miraï) and La déese (Tania Russof) arrested and imprisoned. While the two try to find a way to escape, William Reuter (David Perry) and Karim (Philippe Dean) try to find a way to break them out.

Audio/Video:
The Pyramid 2 is presented with a dubbed English 2.0 Stereo track. This is one of the old style Private dubbed tracks which I don't care for that much. The way these tracks are composed, the original language track is still intact and a narrator comes on at certain points to let you know what is going on. Unfortunately, all of the original dialog is lost and you just get a brief summation of what is going on. The dubbing is clear at all times and easy to understand. Also presented on the disc is the original French 2.0 Stereo track. Private has also included dubbed 2.0 Stereo tracks for Spanish, Italian, and German and has included Dutch subtitles for the disc.

The Pyramid 2 is presented in the widescreen ratio of 1.78:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. Unfortunately, the disc is non-anamorphic, but that is not surprising given the year it was authored. As for the picture itself, it is a far cry from the picture quality of Private's discs today. The picture is soft and looks much older than the film really is. There is fine grain exhibited throughout the presentation as well. The color levels are good and the picture is far from being horrible.

Special Features:
Private has included a few extras on the disc for your viewing enjoyment. The first one is “Postcards from Egypt,” which is a photo gallery that contains 25 stills from both the film and the production end of the film, that you flip through. There is an Interview with Pierre Woodman, which contains only part one of the interview. The interview covers Pierre's film making both on the Pyramid films and his film making in general. The original trailer for the Pyramid trilogy is included on the disc. There is a short piece called “The Pyramid Billboard,” which contains 14 stills that you flip through that show the construction of the billboard on Sweetzer Ave, in Los Angeles, California, advertising The Pyramid. The final extra on the disc is The “Private Girls,” which contains an interview, two photo galleries and a sex scene for Tania Russof, Krisztina, Nikky Andersson, Gabriella Bond, and Silvie. Although this is a decent set of extras for when the disc was released, since this is Private's first super production, I would have liked to have seen more on the making of the film.

There are a total of six chapters available for The Pyramid 2. The movie itself spans both sides of a DVD-10 and there are three chapters available from each side. The chapters are identified by a video clip from the scene that they go to. Given the style of the film, the chapters are acceptable, but could be much better. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
The second part of the Pyramid Trilogy doesn't quite live up to the first one. The sex in the film is just as good as the first. It is a perfect combination of nice looking euro females with some decent looking males. If anything, the sex in this film is even better than in the first volume. The second scene with Liga and Jean-Yves LeCastel, the fourth scene with Angelica Miraï, Tania Russof, and Franck Versace and the sixth scene with Anike, Betty Anderson, and Franck Versace are the best this film has to offer.

The sex scenes are nasty enough that viewers that only like tame scenes will find the scenes to be too much. Fans of the middle ground and nasty sex shouldn't have any problems with the scenes though. The scenes are long as well, so viewers who like long scenes will be in heaven. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with lesbianism, female masturbation, DP, male masturbation, and an orgy scene. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used in the film.

The plot doesn't fare as well as the sex though in this outing. The first volume does a great job of building up the plot and then leaving it hanging for continuation in this film. Unfortunately, the plot doesn't go very far here. This film is basically just a series of sex scenes with only a minuscule amount of plot showing. No matter how good the sex is, the meager plot contained in the film was a letdown after the first venture.

The biggest complaint that I have about the film is the dubbing technique that Private used for the film. This film utilizes Private's original dubbing technique where the original language track is left in the film and a narrator speaks at important points in the film to fill the viewer in on what is going on. So, you will hear a good five minutes of dialog in the film but only get a quick line from the narrator that obviously doesn't cover everything that is being said. This technique does detract from the movie slightly, but not enough to ruin the viewing experience and to irritate unsuspecting viewers.

The sets and locations used in the film heighten the atmosphere and mood created by the film along with elevating the film since it doesn't look like everything else out on the market. The exterior shots were done in Egypt and the interior sets, whether created for the film or found, are top notch.

The Scenes:
The first scene gives us Alain Deloin with Chrysty, Tunde, Olivia, Katalyn, Lelde, Yanna, and Adele in hardcore roles and Eva, Katy, Andrea, Adrienne, Nikolette, Anna Marie, Margit, and Ildico in softcore roles in a scene that includes blow jobs, vaginal sex and anal sex. The softcore girls in the background are performing female pussy eating and female masturbation during the scene. The second scene brings us arguably the best scene in the film with Liga and Jean-Yves LeCastel in a blow job only scene.

The third scene brings us Demia Moor with Philippe Dean and David Perry for a scene that starts out with a vaginal sex and blow job combo before switching to an anal sex and blow job combo. The scene concludes with a DP. The fourth scene brings us Angelica Miraï and Tania Russof with Franck Versace. This hot scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into a blow job. There is then a vaginal sex and pussy eating combo before just some vaginal sex. Then there is a vaginal sex and female pussy eating combo before going into an anal sex and female pussy eating combo to finish off the scene.

The fifth scene brings us Shona Lynn and Ana with Zoltan, Ferrenc, Elmeri, Alain Kraut, Philippe Dean, and David Perry in a scene that starts out with a blow job before going into the vaginal sex. The vaginal sex is followed by a DP and the scene is concluded with anal sex. The sixth and final scene gives us Anike and Betty Anderson with Franck Versace and starts out with a blow job. Then the scene heads into the vaginal sex before going into a vaginal sex and female pussy eating combo. The scene concludes with some anal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
The story continues in The Pyramid 2, so if you follow a story and haven't seen the first one, I would recommend getting that one first or buying the whole set as the Trilogy DVD Pack. The Pyramid 2 doesn't quite live up to the first entry in the trilogy, the sex scenes are nice but the story starts to wan as is what seems to happen in the Private super productions. Don't get me wrong, if you are a fan of high production values, plot driven adult entertainment and the Private European style of porn, this film is definitely one that you should pick up.
