Review brief: “Flesh and Laces Part II” is a good production from the early 80s that features Jamie Gillis as an ailing patient in a hospital who, despite his illness, still manages to get it on with everyone from his nurses to his lawyer to (*gasp*) his (adopted) daughter. As one might expect, there is enough untamed bush in this one to match the untamed desires of its star, but everything still works out to good effect…particularly given the age of this release.

Review brief: "Savanna Samson is the Masseuse" is an exceptional production from Vivid and Paul Thomas that features Savanna Samson as a jaded masseuse for whom it takes a cascade of bizarre events and a potential love interest to even begin to crack her shell. In advancing the storyline, the production is tied together via Savanna discussing her life with her shrink, followed up by cuts to the relevant scenes. This mechanism works well in bringing the disc together, and--coupled with strong acting and realistic settings--it provides for a full feature experience. Of course, one doesn't watch such films simply for the plot elements--the sex needs to be strong, as well. Fortunately, it is.

Review brief: "Portrait of a Call Girl" is an exceptional feature from Graham Travis and Elegant Angel that tells the tale of a call girl played by Jessie Andrews. In what may well be a career-making role for Jessie, this release is really something quite unique in the world of adult films. Not only is the plot realistic--and complex--it also successfully conveys a variety of moods and emotional scenarios that play out seamlessly in heading toward its ultimate goals. Jessie plays her part to perfection--with a certain innocence and decency that also mask a far more troubled interior--and she delivers intensely in a sexual sense, as well. By all accounts, this is something special--in a very good way.

Review brief: "Runaway" is an exceptional production from Vivid, B. Skow (the director), and David Stanley (the writer) that centers around Capri Anderson as a young woman who--after finding out that her mother (Lisa Ann) has lied to her about her father--goes on a quest to find him. Along the way, she encounters a prostitute-obsessed trucker (Tom Byron) who helps her out, and she narrowly escapes the clutches of her bizarre and perverted mother's boyfriend (Barry Scott). There are more twists (and kinks) in the plot of this one than there are turns in Lombardi Street...but, fortunately, the storyline remains both coherent and strong throughout. Of course, an adult film cannot simply live on plot elements alone...and this one is no exception...as the sex is also excellent and well-captured. This is most definitely a worthy release.

Review brief: "Fashionistas Safado" (the blu-ray collection) is a top-notch production from Evil Angel and director John Stagliano that couples together two exceptional films--Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge and Fashionistas Safado: Berlin. There's a tremendous amount of material presented in this collection--all of it in stunning high-definition. The theme is definitely one of fetishes, particularly of the latex variety, and it's clear that everything in this production--from the cast to the plot to the sex and so on--has been thought out with precision and also painstakingly enacted. This is an awesome release.

Review brief: "Joy" is a good production from SunLust that focuses on Asian women and features them in a variety of sexual situations. The goings-on include everything from standard boy/girl scenes (three of them) up to girl/girl scenes (two of them) and even an all-girl orgy that caps things off. The quality of the sex tends to increase as one moves through the offerings on the disc, ranging from above-average to excellent...depending on the particular sequence and participants. One problem that is found here--and in a good deal of other SunLust productions--is that there are some resolution issues in multiple places...particularly on motion. The technical values really need to be improved in these releases. All in all, this one is worthy of a watch, but it is spotty and could definitely be better.

Review brief: "Top Guns" is an excellent production from Digital Playground that features a host of the company's contract girls in a sexy take-off on a super-popular, similarly-titled mainstream production from the '80s. Jesse Jane plays the lead role in this one as a reckless-but-adroit Naval pilot who, along with her RIO (Riley Steele), is sent to a school for extraordinarily talented pilot/RIO teams. Of course, the plot thickens as both boy-vs.-girl and Jesse-vs.-Kayden (Kayden is Jesse's arch-nemesis) rivalries develop and take hold, but everything ends well when the ladies are able to fend off an aerial attack by the bad guys. Not to be ignored, of course, are the various sexual escapades that the women get involved in and that also form the true basis for the movie.

Review brief: "Young At Heart" is a very good production from Wicked that features Brad Armstrong as an older guy who's really starting to feel his age--particularly when it comes to women. So, in an attempt to prove to himself that he's still got it, he goes on a rampage--trying to fuck every younger woman that he can find. More often than not, he succeeds, and a good deal of hot sex ensues. Of course, because every story needs a moral and a happy ending, Brad ends up realizing that love and sex with someone his own age (Francesca Le) is really where it's at. Regardless, a lot of hot boffing is displayed prior to this unfortunate epiphany...and the viewer most distinctly benefits.

Review brief: "Nina Mercedez: Popular Demand" is a very good production from Heartbreaker Films that features adult film star, Nina Mercedez, in all five of its scenes and also includes her first double-penetration. Having Nina--a former Vivid girl, amongst other qualifications--as the female lead is certainly a good choice...and also one that makes sense, as it's her production company. Indeed, Nina's work in this one is typically excellent, and it's only some sound issues (Scene Four doesnt appear to have any sound) and some resolution issues (mostly in Scene Four but also in Scene Five to a lesser degree) that really hold it back from being even better. Regardless, the first three scenes alone make it worth the cash, and the fifth is no slouch, either.

Review brief: "Spread Eagle" is an exceptional and comical feature from B. Skow (the director), David Stanley (the writer), and Vivid that features Tommy Gunn as a superhero known as Spread Eagle. Tommy becomes Spread Eagle after a criminal shoots him and his girlfriend (Asa Akira) in an alleyway after an attempted rape gone awry. Fortunately for Tommy, an eagle descends from the sky and not only saves him but also gives him the ability to grow claws, a beak, and wings. With this, Tommy is able to fly, and he also gains a head-splattering shriek that he can use to finish off his opponents. One nice thing about this production is that its storyline--which is strong for an adult film--doesn't take itself too seriously. For instance, Tommy's beak squeaks when it's pushed or bumps up against something, and a lot of the goings-on appear to intentionally parody the whole superhero genre. Also very fortunate--and of utmost importance--for this release is the top-notch cast and the white-hot sex.

All five of the young women here--none of whom I have seen in films before--take it in the bum, of course, and the barely-legal theme is fairly well-adhered to...though typically not in a "creepy" way...except maybe a bit in one scene. There isn't a meaningful plot in this one, so the "EuroTrip" part of this really just consists of the fact that European talent (presumably) is used. Still, the sex is hot, and the ladies are attractive...so it's a winner.

Starring Ariana Jollee--a do-anything New Yorker of yesteryear--in a scene with over 20 guys (Scene One) and also Ashley Long and Audrey Hollander in a scene in which they tag-team a number of gentlemen (Scene Two), there is no dearth of nastiness presented in this one. Indeed, this is some filthy stuff...and the viewer definitely benefits.

Review brief: "Gang Bang Volume 5" is an awesome 2006 production from Red Light District that features two massive, hardcore, and voracious gangbangs and also a number of bonus scenes involving its two stars. At the time of its production, the bigger name in the feature was Naomi--an exotic-looking actress who rose to fame largely on the bulbous nature of her backside. She is in top-form here, no doubt. Also presented is then-up-and-comer, Sasha Grey. Of course, as the story goes, Sasha rose quickly to the top of the industry and, to date, has been able to transition over into success in mainstream endeavors--independent films, music videos, a photo book, recurring roles on television / cable, etc. Regardless of however one slices it--either for Naomi or for Sasha--the value of this production (and its extraordinary heat) is beyond compare.

Review brief: "Saw: A Hardcore Parody" is a very good production from Dick Chibbles that, obviously, parodies the popular mainstream film franchise of the same name. In purchasing this one, I was a bit concerned as to how one would turn a horror series like this into an erotic film. Fortunately for the viewer, this was generally done quite well. The plot is well-developed, with an evil character--much like the one in the "real" films--terrorizing people by putting them in life-or-death situations with diabolical contraptions and then forcing them to make painful decisions. The twist here--other than the sex--is that the entire storyline revolves around the villain targeting adult film industry professionals for their perceived transgressions. The settings are quite realistic and fit well with the plot, and the acting is generally solid. So...what more could one want from such a production? Oh...that's right...hot sex. In that department, the bulk of the scenes deliver, too.

Review brief: In going back a bit old-school (2002), I figured that I'd drop a review for "Gangbang Girl 34" -an excellent gangbang flick from Anabolic that features Shyla Stylez, Shelby Belle, and Sweet Nicky in hot, circus-like action. The two scenes here are broken down such that Shyla is all by her lonesome with her cadre of gentlemen in Scene One, while Sweet Nicky and Shelby Belle take on their mopes as a duo in Scene Two. Helping out a bit in the second sequence is Kim Chambers, who provides some oral work. In watching this, it reminds me just how hardcore and crazy these titles really were... and just how much this series is missed today.

Review brief: "Working Girls" is an excellent production from Shylar Cobi and Vivid that centers around the varied escapades of a handful of attractive escorts. Their activities range from bedding their boyfriends in one-on-one encounters all the way up through torrid three-ways with doctors who have a penchant for such ladies of the night. In enacting this plot device, each sequence has its own mini-storyline and features a different twist on the general theme. The realistic settings and solid camerawork also add to the overall flavor of the production. Of course, in order for it all to come together as an adult film, the sex has to be hot, as well--which it most definitely is.
