Runaway (Vivid 2011) Review

Review:
“Runaway” is an exceptional production from Vivid, B. Skow (the director), and David Stanley (the writer) that centers around Capri Anderson as a young woman who—after finding out that her mother (Lisa Ann) has lied to her about her father—goes on a quest to find him. Along the way, she encounters a prostitute-obsessed trucker (Tom Byron) who helps her out, and she narrowly escapes the clutches of her bizarre and perverted mother’s boyfriend (Barry Scott). There are more twists (and kinks) in the plot of this one than there are turns in Lombardi Street…but, fortunately, the storyline remains both coherent and strong throughout. Of course, an adult film cannot simply live on plot elements alone…and this one is no exception…as the sex is also excellent and well-captured. This is most definitely a worthy release.

In terms of the sex, Scene One brings together Asphyxia Noir, Skin Diamond, and Mark Wood in a pink motel room. Asphyxia and Skin are both friends of Capri’s and are also hookers, and Mark is one of their johns. Things start off with some girl-on-girl action (fingers, tongues, and a dildo) and then transition over to including Mark. The double-blowjob work in this one is hot, and the various vaginal positions that Skin and Asphyxia employ are sexy. Often, when one of the ladies is taking her turn in servicing Mr. Wood’s wood, the other can be found dildoing herself. The pop-shot in this excellent segment is delivered straight to Skin’s face and mouth, and—after spitting the cum on Asphyxia’s face—the two ladies partake in some cummy-kissing—wild! In Scene Two, Lisa Ann and Barry Scott get it on in their living room on / around a black leather sofa. Barry drops one on her pussy and pelvis, and then goes back to fucking her some more (after a cut), to finish this exceptional encounter off—Lisa Ann can do no wrong.

Scene Three pairs Phoenix Marie (a waitress at a local dive) with Tom Byron in a cheap hotel room. The blowjob work here is steamy (spit and throating), and the various vaginal and anal positions that the two find themselves in are all hot. As with Lisa Ann, Phoenix does some ass-to-mouth during the festivities. She also gapes and does some panty-stuffing (vaginally) as she’s getting pounded anally in a side-entry position; there should be more of this in mainstream adult releases...most certainly. To close this also-exceptional romp off, Tom shoots on Phoenix’s pussy and inner-thighs…which she then wipes off with her panties and puts them in her mouth. In Scene Four, Skin Diamond, Asphyxia Noir, and Barry Scott have an excellent three-way (for-pay) in yet another cheap hotel room. The trio makes good use of their surroundings (i.e. the end-table in the room), and some of the standing positions are quite hot. Moreover, Skin does anal in this sequence, and both of the ladies do some nice deep-throating of Barry’s rod. The money-shot is unleashed on both ladies’ pussies and pelvises…which Barry follows up with a cummy-reinsertion and some continued fucking—hot!

Scene Five features Capri and Jerry in an apparently-real gas station bathroom. She’s boinking him simply to please her crush—and semi-surrogate father on the trip—Tom Byron. The standing and reverse-cowgirl positions (all vaginal) are the highlights in this excellent romp, and the pop-shot is dished out all over Capri’s pussy, pelvis, and tummy—hot stuff…especially the setup! In Scene Six, Capri and Tom finally get it on, and the setting couldn’t be better. The action takes place outside of Tom’s truck at a gas station. In essence, Capri stumbles upon him while he’s on the phone jacking it with his wife (India Summer)—to whom there are intermittent cuts featuring her masturbating back home. Scene Seven is where the pair really does things up right, as they take care of business (fully and vaginally) in the back compartment of Tom’s truck cab. The blowjob work in this one is seductive, and the various positions that the couple employs are all steamy. The finale is a load dropped on Capri’s breasts and tummy—excellent material!

Some other items should be noted, as well. The camerawork, production values, settings, and acting are all top-notch here. The storyline is very strong for an adult film, and the setups to the scenes are often quite erotic. As this is a Vivid feature, advertisements play upon inserting the disc, but these can be skipped by hitting the Menu button on the remote. Additionally, there is the standard Vivid website watermark in the lower-portion of the screen. It’s not really a distraction, but it would be better if it weren’t there.

In terms of bonus materials, there’s a Capri Anderson boy-girl “Bonus Scene” from “My Little Black Book”, and there’s a lengthy and interesting “Behind the Scenes” featurette—always a great addition. Further, one finds a “Photo Gallery” (slideshow of stills), a “Previews” option (choice of four), and a “Vivid Extras” section (the advertisements again and the anti-piracy PSA). Overall, these are solid bonuses.

All in all, this is an exceptional feature that really highlights the abilities of Capri Anderson, Tom Byron, and the rest of the cast. The B. Skow / David Stanley combination—particularly on features—is a very strong one, and this release has obvious couples’ and feature appeal. Check it out!
