Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done and a touch artistic, which is nothing new for B. Skow. The audio is pretty well balanced with a few background noises that fit into the movie but which can also be a touch loud. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks good. It has just a hint of grain which gives the presentation a film-like quality along with nicely done lighting. The camera work goes from being an almost gonzo style to a more static, standard presentation, which sometimes worked for me and sometimes interfered with the movie for me.

Watermark Warning: Runaway has the usual Vivid watermark in the lower right corner. It's small, fairly tasteful (if a watermark can be such a thing), and stays stationary making it easy to put out of mind. Although I can't say that I like to see watermarks, if a company feels that's what they have to do in order to protect their product I hope they can keep them as tasteful as Vivid does here.

The Movie: After yet another fight with her Mom's creepy boyfriend Barry, Capri runs away from home in hopes of finding her father with the help of her hooker friends Skin and Asphyxia. It doesn't stake her long to set her sights on trucker Tom as a way to get there, and they both have more than their fare share of emotional baggage to work through as they try to get her to her father. They also have to avoid Barry, who's hunting her down before she learns things neither he nor her mother wants her to. .

It's a touch on the artistic side with a good sense of style, and the story is well written with some fairly strong and definitely troubled characters (which is nothing new when you have David Stanley penning a script). Capri Anderson does an extremely good job in the lead role with Tom Byron and Barry Scott turning out very good supporting performances. The problem for me is that there's nobody really likeable in the movie. With Capri in the lead role, and having a great chance to show off her tight body and acting chops, I wanted to be able to root for her, but at the same time her character's kind of a spoiled slutty little bitch who really needs to grow up. Tom is just as much of a mess, but with a big heart, and Barry is just plain creepy. The story portions are well captured with a good pace, and even with not liking the characters I can't deny that there's some very nice skill behind the camera. As for the sex, it's a bit hit or miss for me. Capri once again shows why she's the star of the movie with frequent teases, two full sex scenes, and a blowjob scene, and seems like an ideal pick as a Vivid Girl. The rest of the sex is also well done, but as somebody who isn't a fan of tattoos once again this wasn't quite my thing due to Asphyxia and Skin being in two scenes. The bigger problem for me with the sex was the style. There's some great angles, but it's short with almost a gonzo style that doesn't always mesh with the style of the setups. I can see why others like it as it gives a rough edge to the sex that one normally doesn't find, but for me it interrupts the feel of the movie. Runaway is a very well done movie that just isn't quite my thing.

The Extras: Trailers are included for four other Vivid releases. The photo gallery lasts a little over seven minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene, and commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly a half hour. After a quick Shylar Cobi introduction to the cast it quickly flips around the shoot and Shylar has a little more fun before Capri arrives and she chats a bit. Tom chats about porn then and now and his love of his job. Asphyxia and Skin chat next about how they hooked up, their relationship, sex, and their ink. There's a quick moment with Tommy before chatting with Barry about his ink and piercings. There's even a little fun between Skin, Asphyxia, and Barry as well as a couple moments with Capri and chatting with Jessi about getting wild and mating rituals. Finally there's a bit around the truck stop location and a few last glimpses of Capri. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. You get some good personality from the cast and some of the crew, and it keeps moving at a nice pace. Ralph Long can seem a little pushy and limited at times behind the camera, but this is still a decent addition to the overall release.

The bonus scene comes from My Little Black Book. Capri starts out on her knees and naked letting Johnny know how much she wants to make him cum as he begs her not to.
