review from 11/25/2015:
"Living Doll" -- It's like a pornographic version of the mainstream hit, "Toy Story", but it came out eight years earlier. Indeed, this fine, 1987 film from director Jerome Tanner and Western Visuals features a toy store populated by toys that are far more than simply playthings--they're living, breathing beings. Of course, as with all living, breathing beings, these living, breathing beings like to FUCK...A LOT. [read the full review]

review from 10/17/2016:
Surrounded by the dirt and grime of 1970's New York City, a pervy, imbalanced porn shop creeper and window peeper, Jamie Gillis, finds himself pushed over the edge when he witnesses both an erotic enema at a local brothel and also the object of his obsession having sex with another man. Convinced that he can "cure" women of their perceived "impure behavior" via an enema (whether they like it or not), he goes on a spree that ultimately has him becoming a notorious and deranged rapist. Whether he'll be caught or whether he'll continue to terrorize the city's female population remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Water Power", a very good, 1976 release from Global Media International Films. [read the full review]
Flash's
review from 11/8/2015:
Waterpower is a bizarre film to come from Shaun Costello that has an even more bizarre release history. The TLA Entertainment Exclusive DVD contains two versions of the film on the disc. One called the original version and one called the director's cut. Neither is, to the best of my knowledge either the original version or the director's cut. The video quality is very good on the original version and varies from very good to poor in the director's cut. As of now, The Historic Erotica version appears to be the best release of Waterpower to have come out as of yet, but hopefully someday a definitive version will get released. [read the full review]

review from 1/3/2016:
"Wacky World of X-Rated Bloopers", an overall-decent, 1989 release from Gourmet Video and narrated by Kimberly Carson, is exactly as its name would imply--a collection of bloopers and behind the scenes material from a number of 1980's releases. Funny moments, true missteps, wood issues, and micromanaging directors are all highlighted. A number of stars from the era make appearances, some more so than others, and the release does provide a nice look at life on a porn set from a time period when BTS material really wasn't mass-produced and readily available. While it's not so much a production to get off to, it's certainly interesting and reasonably worth a watch. [read the full review]

Captain Lust and the Pirate Women is a fun and enjoyable pirate romp to come from the 70s. Nice production values, a funny story, and a lot of sex make this a film worth seeing. Arrow has done a poor job with this release with a subpar transfer and audio. [read the full review]

A giggly gaggle of young girls (18+) sets off on the path toward sexual discovery when a pervy, older sleazebag prank calls their sleepover in "A Teenage Pajama Party". An overall-good, 1977 release from Jim Buckley and Alpha Blue Archives, this flick revolves around the fantasies and "real-life" (film-wise) actions that the call brings about. [read the full review]

Throat: 12 Years After is an excellent character-driven drama from director and writer Gerard Damiano. Throat: 12 Years After looks at the love lives of two couples and features an excellent cast and an enjoyable story. Ignore the implied connection to Damiano's earlier film Deep Throat and definitely watch this film it is worth it. VCA has done an acceptable job with their DVD release of Throat: 12 Years After with acceptable video quality and good audio quality. [read the full review]

It's always a good time on a Saturday night down at LC's country bar, where the shows bring together the bro's and the ho's, where the dick-lickers meet up with the shit-kickers, and where the stunning and witty Clit Westwood (Lonnie Sanders) and her stuffed-toy gorilla make the rounds. review from 10/15/2004:
This 1980 New York production may be the only Gerard Damiano video I've ever seen. Typcially, "golden age" adult movies are pretty tame by today's standards. That isn't the case with this one. Right away there's an anal scene, followed shortly by a double penetration. There's also a scene where a man is penetrated by a dildo. In the original movie, there was a fisting scene and a golden shower scene, both of which have been cut from this dvd (and, unlike Arrow's DVD of "Candy Stripers" are unfortunately not hidden in an easter egg). The plot involves a futuristic society called "Alpha Blue," in which the prevailing custom is sex without commitment or attachment. Herschel Savage (early in his amazing three decades-long career) is happy with this state of affairs, but R. Bolla pines for the good old days of love and romance. Bolla decides that he will woo Satisfier 805 (Lysa Thatcher) into falling in love with him. Bottom line: this is an amazing classic feature, one of the best golden age movies not made by Henry Paris (aka Radley Metzger). [read the full review]

review from 5/26/2006:
Overview Henri Pachard has mad some classic stuff, Budding of Brie, Jailhouse Girls, etc, etc. So does this slice of Golden Age pie taste sweet, or sour ? What I Liked Kinda cool seeing old faves like Rachel Ashley, Taija Rae, and Sharon Mitchell in their prime suckin' and fuckin'. As a lover of full bush ( yum ) , gotta say I dug full coochie rug look sported here. What I Disliked Well, the whole plot of mayhem ensuing on the day of a wedding rehersal, with new wave band guests appearing, and the groom disappearing was just way too silly. The sex was pretty tame, and quick. Anal ? Not here . Facials and big loads period, nah uh. So we have a bizarre plot, weak ass sex. Shit. DVD Quality Transfer of an oldie, you'd figure its not quite modern quality, and you'd be correct. Not grainy and splotchy though, just ok. Extras ? Ha ha ha. Overall Thoughts Not the best golden age flick, no, not by a long ass mile. [read the full review]

Gerard Damiano once again exhibits his flair for the dramatic in "Odyssey", a very good, 1977 release from the legendary Golden Age director and VCX / Alpha Blue Archives. T. Boy, Sean Michaels, Sean Rider, and Mickey G. Initial Expectations: VCAs Deep Inside series has been very good so far. Im expecting another good one here. Initial Reaction: Its another great compilation! Who Should Watch It : Anybody whos a fan of Missy or whos just curious about her Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who doesnt want enthusiastic sex or who wants it extremely nasty Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies a bit throughout the feature. Some of the interview is a little scratchy, almost as if the microphone was maxed out. The movies themselves come across every bit as good as what they originally sounded to be, but the fantasy scene does have a few background noises. Most of the video has some slight grain, which is to be expected with a feature thats over five years old. [read the full review]

review from 6/21/2016:
When a group of alien mermaids led by Taija Rae finds that the Earth's water is too polluted for their health, they need to leave...pronto. Unfortunately, one of their kind, Vanessa D'Oro, is enjoying the sex on the planet far too much to join them, despite the fact that it will mean her demise. So, as any good alien mermaid leader would, Taija seeks out the help of the rough-around-the-edges good guy, John Leslie--who's apparently a "mermaid whisperer" of sorts--to help. Such is the case in "Talk Dirty to Me 4", an overall-good, 1986 release from Ned Morehead and Dreamland Entertainment. [read the full review]

A chance encounter with a wannabe ballerina and stripper, Stephanie Swift, finds a has-been boxer who's trying to make a comeback, Brad Armstrong, balancing his rekindled career with his heavy heart in "Knockout". An exceptional, 1998 release from Wicked Pictures and Jonathan Morgan, this film follows not only Brad's harsh story but also Stephanie's, as the two mutually try to put their lives back together after revealing their heartbreaking pasts. review from 1/14/2005:
"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I had mostly seen Jonathan Morgan's comedies, so I decided that this time around I would see how he does with drama, and darker elements, so I watched this and Indigo Delta back to back. I was very impressed with both films, but I've decided to review Knockout first. The Movie: I don't understand why Wicked hasn't pushed this movie more. It really is one of the few adult titles out there that is TOTALLY couples worthy. It has a very sweet, romantic plot with some very hot, and at times rough, sex. Now, when I say sweet, romantic plot, I'm not talking Hollywood caliber here. Yes, the movie does have some very nice dialogue scenes, and some sweet moments between the two lead characters, but it never forgets that it's an adult film. The story and the sex work together very well, and because of that, the sex scenes are enhanced by the plot, which is how a good feature porn should work. The sex here is pretty basic with three boy/girl scenes, one girl/girl scene, and one boy/girl/girl scene. [read the full review]

Running Time: 86 min. Production Date: 11 / 8 / 1998 Director: Jonathan Morgan Art Director: Brad Armstrong. I know I dont normally mention the art direction, but if Brad is doing it, its worth mentioning as you know its going to be good. Cast: Stephanie Swift, Brad Armstrong, Sydnee Steele, Raquel Devine, Sana Fey, Melanie Stone, Sharon Mitchell, Mr. Marcus, Herschel Savage, and Melissa Hill and Frank Fortuna in non - sex roles. Initial Expectations: Its a Wicked release. Nuff said. Initial Reaction: Wow. I really like this one. Its got a great story and the sex is hot too. Audio /Video Quality: Both are typical Wicked high quality transfers. Theres a little grain near the end and some of the audio is pretty noticeably dubbed, but thats about it. Neither of these bothered me too much while watching the movie. Music: The music is very well balanced. The music varies during the sex scenes, but its mostly the typical high quality porno music. Starring: Annette Haven, Sharon Mitchell, Seka, Lisa Deleeuw, Bridgette Monet, Lee Carrol, Abigail Clayton, Veronica Hart, Serena Eric Edwards, Paul Thomas, Jamie Gillis, Hershel Savage First of all, let it be understood that I hold no porn prejudices. If people want to have sex for my entertainment, who am I not to watch them? That means, among other things, that I have absolutely nothing against "old school" porn. By the same token, however, I don't think "classic" movies are inherently better than what's made today. With that in mind, Blue Ribbon Blue presents itself as a greatest hits package of classic stars. Unfortunately, it's not. In fact, it was produced years ago before its performers were even considered legends, and its poor mastering reflect just how much of a thrown together effort it actually is. Had they known that it would be released in the 21st century, it's producers may have paid closer attention to what they included. [read the full review]

review from 1/29/2000:
DMJ II goes beyond the colorfully erotic and enters the realm of exquisite filmmaking. What a wonderful movie funny, romantic, clever yes, Im talking about a porno here. Plot, sex, acting, scenery DMJ II succeeds on all counts. In how many movies do you get to watch Mary Antoinette and Cleopatra suck off the Devils Advocate? Or Cyrano de Bergerac give Georgina Spelvin the first orgasm in hell with his nose? The film opens with an erotic yet humorous seduction. Georgina Spelvin (Justine Jones), ever the siren, crawls toward Cyrano (whose nose is conveniently shaped like a penis) begging to mount him. As she writhes her way to ultimate pleasure Hells orgasm alert starts blaring (the no orgasm in hell rule has just been officiated.) Miss Jones is pulled off Cyranos face and dragged through the erotic bowels of Hell to meet with the man himself, Satan. [read the full review]
