I'll leave it up to the rabid fan base of this movie to decide how close in spirit they got but from watching the movie recently I'd say they came pretty close to nailing it, definitely a spare if not a strike! Kimberly Kane as Maude Lebowski and Tom Byron as the Dude had the hardest roles and I think they did great. Peter Otool a nonsex actor had the Walter role made famous by John Goodman and he too gets the essence of the character down pretty good in the lines and the outfit. Now the name was changed slightly for the actual title but they keep the same main characters in Scully and Mulder and damn Kimberly is scary in her resemblance to the tv version. Kimberly is more receptive but also delivers some great lines and just the look she's got here keeps reminding you of the tv show. "Content" is a gritty production directed by Eon McKai and distributed by Vivid. As a Vivid Alt movie, it's no surprise that one finds actresses here who fit less into the typical "porn star" mold and more into the alternative mold. In advancing this motif, grungy sets are employed, the film's colors are fairly bland, and--in some places--artistic effects are prevalent. Once again Playgirl offers some couples material with footage recorded in 2004-2006 and re-edited for this series in 2007. Not much verbal sex noise, mostly jazz music in the background. Stories have female narrative ala Hustler's Barely Legal but scripting is much more Harlequin Romance oriented stuff. The title is misleading. I didn't see any lube used at all...only condoms....
