Im going in with fairly high expectations here. Initial Reaction: Its easily the best of Nick Orleans features, as well as one of the best movies Ive seen from Adam & Eve. Music: I liked the music a lot for this one. It had a "theme" of sorts running thoughout. Kinda like Dream Quest had. But overall I found the music very pleasing and very well done. Feature: This was truly a feature. It had one of the strongest stories that I've seen so far in a porno picture. The plot line kept me interested all the way thru. The women are mouthwatering, Nici Sterling is volcanic in the last scene playing a DOM to her male slave. Background: Janine owns a night club where Asia plays the piano and Dyanna sings. Asia really plays the piano here, so you get to see her other talents besides sucking and fucking. Jenna is the new girl in town who is trying to get to know people. Christy Canyon is a record executives and Julia Ann is her Assistant. The plot deals with Asia and Dyanna trying to get a record contract from Christy, but in their quest for fame, their relationship is almost ruined. The sound was fine; I was able to make out everyone's voices and all Feature: This was another flik that is oriented towards the "couples scene." It had a somewhat intricate storyline and in depth character development (for porn). I didn't care for the story all that much. Basically Asia is this lady who has shut the world away because of some unfortunate events in her past and her gardner, Devin Wolf, shows her kindness and she eventually emerges. I didn't think that the sex was anything extraordinary. There weren't really any scenes that I thought were totally awesome. It seemed like Devin Wolf did almost all the humping in this one. Basically Asia is this lady who has shut the world away because of some unfortunate events in her past and her gardner, Devin Wolf, shows her kindness and she eventually emerges. I didn't think that the sex was anything extraordinary. There weren't really any scenes that I thought were totally awesome. It seemed like Devin Wolf did almost all the humping in this one. This is one of the corniest dvd's I have ever seen. But for some reason I really liked it. The beginning scene with Stacey Valentine and some other fine chick is really hot. There are parts of this movie that seem to drag on because of the plot that they are trying to establish. But I guess it's worth it in the end when you see Asia Carrera (the finest pornstar on the face of this earth) come out and conquer her sexual demons. Her sex scenes are pretty damn nice. Her acting isn't too bad either. The hottest part of the movie for me was when she was sleeping naked in her bed, her sheets conveniently uncovering her best features. God she's hot. Okay, the only thing that is pretty crappy in this movie is the blonde gardeners acting. He is the corniest guy I have ever seen in a movie, but I guess he got the job done. The Plot: Yep, not every great movie makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. Conquest is a good example. Our lovely tale of lust and torn bodices starts with a hanging. John "Dutch" is about to die for his crimes as a pirate. Sentenced to hang by his neck until dead (Does anyone just hang by the neck until uncomfortable?), John is rescued at the last second by his Captain, his fellow crewmen and the timely intervention of a chick with big tits. Naturally, no good deed goes unpunished, and we are treated to watching the crown prince (hilariously overplayed to perfection by somebody who deserved more credit) rant & rave about "Blackheart", our hero. Speaking of our hero, he and his crew are resting in the Batcave before setting sail. Why am I reviewing this movie now? Well, I've never seen it before. Flashpoint was filmed in 1997 and debuted on VHS in 1998 (I think); the eagerly-anticipated DVD followed in 1999. After enjoying Loaded (featuring Jesse Jane) recently, I thought I'd give a shot at one of the most celebrated adult feature films in the last five or so years. Without a doubt, Jenna Jameson is the biggest adult film star since the late Nineties, but to be honest, I can't count myself amongst the Jenna worshippers. I don't know why this is; she's actually a decent actress and her sex scenes are usually very high caliber. Flashpoint's cast reads like a Who's Who in porn for the late Nineties. We've seen all of them in scenes after this, but watching this 6+ years after it was shot makes them look especially nice; it's like watching Faye Dunaway in Chinatown. Jenna's probably at the pinnacle of her adult career in Flashpoint. The Story Tragedy strikes as a firefighter gets killed in the line of duty. [read the full review]
