Initial Expectations: I’ve liked a lot of what I’ve seen from Nick Orleans, and the few scenes I’ve watched from this series have been pretty good. I’m going in with fairly high expectations here.

Initial Reaction: It’s easily the best of Nick Orleans’ features, as well as one of the best movies I’ve seen from Adam & Eve. I really wish I hadn’t put off watching this one for so long.

Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting a nice plot and some varied sex

Who Should Avoid It: Couples who just want straight ahead sex without any artistic camera work

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and pretty well balanced. There are a few background noises, but they always seem to fit the scenes. The video shows some grain, and I’m not sure whether it’s supposed to imitate film or not. I suspect it’s not as there’s also a bit of pixelation which rears its ugly head now and then. It’s nicely lit, and a fair amount of the video is slowed down to enhance the romantic feeling in the sex scenes. Due to some of the video being slowed, some of the audio is also dubbed.

Music: Saint provides the music, which always gets my hopes up for a feature. This is the most mainstream of Saint’s music that I’ve heard, and it works amazingly well for this feature. My only complaint is that it’s often a bit loud to the point that it covers up some of the dialogue in the non-sex portions, but much of it is very nicely balanced and it really helps to make the movie as great as it is.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a couple scenes from the movie and the front cover. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: Years after the death of her father, who searched for the snow leopard in Bardot, Asia Carrera sets off to capture another to help the species survive. She’s accompanied by Ashton Moore, an expert in the customs of the far off land, but they’re not alone in their hunt for the elusive leopard. There are also poachers after the leopard and annoying photographer James Bonn, who always seems to be at just the wrong place. Unlike other leopards, the snow leopard is much smaller than a normal leopard, can supposedly leap 60 feet in the air, live above 6000 feet above sea level, don’t growl (although leopards actually make a sawing sound that can be heard from far away), and comes out during the day rather than being nocturnal. Asia and Ashton’s biggest help is the guidance of Steven St. Croix, a Bardot native who seems to know the ways of the land, as well as a bit about the snow leopard.

Asia Carrera starts things out giving Brick Majors a little oral love on their balcony after she has a nightmare and they have a little tiff. She sucks and licks her way around Brick’s prick as he stands and moans nearly motionless against the railing. Asia even gives him a little titty fucking between suckings before he finally pops on her nicely implanted tits.

This is a different way to start out the feature, and I have to say that it works pretty well here. The scene is a little dark, which I guess I don’t mind since it’s supposed to be taking place in the middle of the night. These scenes are done pretty well. I normally don’t care for scenes that are spliced together like this as I think it robs heat from both scenes. That does happen here, but not as badly as I’ve seen it happen elsewhere. Cheyenne and Lex are easily the highlight fo the scenes. Although Lex himself admits that he doesn’t do his best work with a condom, you’d never know it from looking at Cheyenne. She seems completely enthralled with him and makes their portion of the scene scorching hot! Randy and Ashton are a bit more subdued, but still look to really be having a great time. These are hot scenes, and I think they would have been even hotter if they could have stood on their own rather than mirroring each other.

Mark Davis and Stephanie Swift hook up in a flashback scene next, as Mark gets ready to take a captured snow leopard back to the States. Mark probes Stephanie’s slit with his tongue and fingers before helping her down off the table she’s laying on to suck his cock. Stephanie gets back on the table for Mark to fuck her missionary style, and grabs on so he can pick her up and turn around for her to ride him cowgirl style. Stephanie finishes Mark off letting him fuck her from behind before taking his guy goo on her ass.

This is a pretty hot scene! Mark and Stephanie have very nice chemistry and energy, and Stephanie is hotter than heck here! She looks amazing in her black corset and stockings, and looks like she gets into every single moment of the scene. With performances like this it’s no wonder why Stephanie was put under contract a few years ago by another studio!

Asia Carrera masturbates in a waterfall next. It’s a slow, sensual, erotic scene, but nothing earth shaking. It has much the same feel as many magazine spreads, and is every bit as beautiful. Of course, there are a lot worse things to watch than Asia touching herself!

Asia Carrera and Ashton Moore are surrounded by the Amazon-like Women of the Wind (including Halli Aston, Leanni Lei, Taylor St. Clair, Jennifer Lee, Blair Segal, Gwen Summers, and others) next. Asia and Ashton never receive, but are constantly worked over by a couple women each while others stand around, watch, and masturbate. It’s a very warm scene, but the action is cut between Asia and Ashton enough that it has a hard time building up the heat much beyond that. The women are almost all beautiful and put in some nice energy, but the editing and camera angles really hold the scene back.

Next up, Asia Carrera fantasizes about Nick Danger. It starts with Ashton Moore going into the tent with Nick to console him, but she places herself in the action as well as seeing Ashton sucking other people she knows, such as her former lover Brick Majors. Nick fingers Ashton before pounding her pussy from behind and nailing her missionary style. Finally, Nick decorates Ashton’s inflated tits.

This is a pretty good scene. Asia’s fantasies are brought into it nicely, and didn’t interfere with the scene at all for me. It gives the scene a very different feel, and I kinda liked it even though most of the action is nothing special.

After a bit of arguing, James Bonn and the amazing Asia Carrera hook up. They tease each other a bit outside by a jeep before Asia runs inside their ten with James following close behind. The playfulness makes this a nice scene right from the start. There’s great chemistry between James and Asia, and they enhance it even further by taking things slowly and giving each other loving gazes. It gradually picks up energy as James plants his face between Asia’s thighs and she reciprocates with her standard amazing blowjob. Surprisingly, they only fuck in the missionary position, with Asia bringing things to a close by jerking James onto her stomach.

This is a great couples scene!. It has a nice and loving feel, that really helps it to stand apart from many other adult scenes, even in couples features. It moves along at a nice pace and there’s nice chemistry and energy. Unlike so many adult scenes, this scene feels natural and like it’s meant to happen.

Cat-become-woman Temptress takes on husband and wife Alec Metro and Gina Ryder (respectively for those of you having a lot of trouble making out who’s who in adult films) in the penultimate scene. There’s plenty of energy, plenty of spirit, and plenty of heat here, and it all teams up to make this an excellent group scene that I’m sure that many couples will be able to really enjoy.

Finally, Asia Carrera and James Bonn hook up one last time. They keep the foreplay short and sweet so they can get on to the good stuff. I didn’t enjoy this scene as much as Asia and James’ previous pairing. It’s much slower and softer, and the artistic effects held it back a little for me. Asia and James do look like they’re very much into each other, but the style of the scene didn’t quite work for me. Although I didn’t enjoy the action, the feeling at the end is perfect for the movie.

Search for the Snow Leopard is an excellent adult film! Those last two words are the really important ones here. This isn’t a brainless porno. The story develops nicely over the course of the movie, and has some nice feelings as well as characters. The scenes rarely feel like they’re forced, and often feel very natural with great chemistry. I know that many adult films are watched over days, if not weeks, but I hated to stop watching it long enough to make supper. Search for the Snow Leopard has long been thought of as one of Adam & Eve’s best movies, and there’s a very good reason for that! It has great heart as well as great sex, and even though it’s not perfect it’s done well enough that you can look past its few faults.

Yes, the technical aspects lack a little and there isn’t anything worth mentioning, but the movie is amazing with hot sex and an excellent plot. This is a movie that every couple who wants something with a little substance and romance should have on their shelf.
