review from 1/25/2002:
Although it is unfortunate that both films have been cut and the picture quality in the first one is questionable, these are still two very well done films. If you are a fan of the classics, of either of these films, of school girl or summer camp themed movies you probably want to pick this disc up since this is probably the best treatment these films are going to get on DVD and since the packaging states that they are limited editions. Otherwise, I would avoid this title. [read the full review]

review from 5/19/2003:
Running Time: 88 min. Production Date: 3 / 13 / 2000 Director: Clive McLean Cast: Layla Jade, Adriana Sage, Sandy, Katalin, Deanna High, Jeanie Rivers (listed here as Jasmin), Jon Dough, Voodoo, Joey Ray, Dale DaBone, and Billy D. Initial Expectations: Ive heard good things about this series so I have pretty high hopes for this one. Initial Reaction: Its another fun and pretty hot installment. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting artistic and fun sex with barely legal girls and a bit of peeing Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting nasty sex with barely legal girls Audio /Video Quality: The audio is mostly clear and well balanced, although there is a little bit that appears to be dubbed. The opening scene is a bit out of balance, with the background noises creeping into the foreground a bit much. The video has a soft touch that helps give the movie and artistic feel. It reminds me a lot of the look of many classic adult films that have found their way onto DVD. [read the full review]

review from 11/5/2015:
Kelly the Coed 3 is the lowest entry so far of the Kelly the Coed adult movie series. The charm that the first movie pulled off has been lost here. The movie is further hampered by newer footage being added to the movie for this release. The DVD itself is lacking with a less than stellar picture and tons of phone sex adverts. Running Time: 101 min. Production Date: 10 / 4 / 1999 Director: Clive McLean and Stuart Canterbury Cast: Cheyenne Silver, Anna, Blair Segal, Gia, Jane Lixx, Jodi Roxx, Kristi, Lindsey, Teri Starr, Joel Lawrence, Kyle Stone, Steve Taylor, and Tristen Initial Expectations: This is Hustlers longest running series, which gives me a lot of hope for it. Of course, having Cheyenne Silver in it doesnt hurt anything either. Initial Reaction: Its the best barely legal / schoolgirl type feature Ive seen. Who Should Watch It : Fans of natural and younger (but legal) girls Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting implants, heavy plot, and poor production values Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced. Theres a few minor blemishes with the audio, but theyre few and far between. The video is also pretty good. Theres a bit of grain to it, almost as if it was shot on film and treated very good. review from 11/13/2000:
My overall view: The film is seriuosly lacking in acting ability or should I say directorial ability. Fellow Briton Mr. Clive Mclean is obviously a stalwart of the adult industry and perhaps because of that it seems like there is a lack of effort in making this episode of Barely Legal. For example, the plot revolving around the stepbrother and stepsister or stepfather and stepdaughter fuck scenes are just so lame. They were used incessantly in Barely Legal 1 and there surely must be another million plots they could try and use! The voice overs, where the girls are explaining how they lost their 'virginity' are pathetic. There is no emotion at all - as the topical joke goes "Why did the woman hang up on Al Gore?" "Because she thought it was a dial tone!" This is very relevant here, as the girls talk in such a monotonous way. Again, you expect more from Hustler. [read the full review]

review from 11/9/2000:
There are five scenes to this DVD. I will rate the scenes on a scale of 1 to 5 (Hot!). In first two scenes each girl has a peeing scene. Scene 1 - Girl/Boy scene. This scene has some good footage of her riding her bicycle with glimpses of her panties. This scene is rated 4.5. Scene 2 - Girl(Cheyenne Silver)/Boy scene. This was the best scene of the movie because Cheyenne is the best looking of the women in this movie. Her role in this scene is a babysitter and the guy is supposedly the father of the children she is babysitting. This scene is rated a 4. Scene 3 - Girl/Girl scene. This scene was to short with very little heat. This scene is rated a 2.5. Scene 4 - Girl/Girl/Boy scene. The girls are dressed as cheerleaders. I give the girls credit for acting enthused about the sex. This scene is rated a 3.5. Scene 5 - Girl/Girl/Boy Scene. This scene is rated a 3. Overall, this movie did not provide much heat. The two best scenes are the first two. There is a slide show and a movie preview. [read the full review]

review from 7/13/2000:
Barely Legal is made up five stories. All the scenes are hot because of the kissing, masturbating, oral, anal, and you name it's here. On the plus side all the girls look very pretty and really look like they are enjoying themselves. If you are a fan of the magazine or this is your favorite category of video then this DVD is a must have. On the negative side the girl in the last story is very hot I wish it had been longer. Extras. There is a short behind the scenes look of a photo shot with a hot model named Jessiree. I hope she comes out in a future DVD. Overall I liked this DVD. [read the full review]

review from 3/14/2002:
* DIRECTOR: Jim Powers. * DURATION: ยป85mins. * STARRING: Allysin Chaynes, Annabel Chong, Delia, Gwen Summers & Mazzy Page. Kelly the Coed has occupied the #1 spot on a few DVD retailers top 10 lists for a very long time. This teen-theme classic stars the perennial teen-queen Allysin Chaynes (less teeny these days with a big pair of plants) and one of my personal favourites, Gwen Summers, in addition to two less well-known cuties, Delia and Mazzy Page. Unfortunately, Annabel Chong worked her way into the movie too ... but these things happen. The teen theme works well with the four young girls and their nice natural bodies. The plot is pretty stupid it has some amusing moments but is entirely skippable. Ive disliked most of Jim Powers work but this movie seems more coherent than his others and the sex was OK. While great for Powers and decent by normal comparison, there could have been a lot more done with the cast (especially Gwen). Once you fast-forward past the long annoying ad at the start, there's a good range of extras. [read the full review]

review from 10/18/2001:
All-in-all, Kelly the Coed is not a bad movie, but a far cry from those that came out during the golden age of adult films. Kelly the Coed is worth a watch and/or picking up if the price is cheap enough. There are enough variants in the sexual acts presented in the movie that all viewers should be pleased as everyone should find something to their liking within the movie. Heatwave has done a good job with their DVD release of Kelly the Coed. [read the full review]

Running Time: 83 min. Production Date: August 6th and 7th 1998 Director: Jim Powers Cast: Allysin Chaynes, Annabelle Chong, Gwen Summers, De Lia, Mazzie, Brian Surewood, Pat Myne, John West, Mark Wood, J. J. Michaels, Tyce Bune, Jay Ashley, Mark Afile, Brandon Iron, and Johnny Thrust Initial Expectations: Ive heard a lot of mixed reviews on Kelly The Coed . Since its been nominated for a WAD Award I have some hope for it. Initial Reaction: Its not bad, but its not fabulous either. Audio /Video Quality: Its a low budget feature, so its not perfect. The audio has some dubbing but most of the dialogue is pretty clear. The video has some grain and suffers some from poor lighting in areas. On the plus side, its probably a little more realistic lighting in some of these scenes. Unfortunately, it isnt that way for all of them. Music: I think theres only two songs through the entire movie. Theyre normally well balanced but get really annoying. [read the full review]
