Kelly the Coed: Rush Week Review

Kelly the Coed has occupied the #1 spot on a few DVD retailers’ top 10 lists for a very long time. This teen-theme classic stars the perennial teen-queen Allysin Chaynes (less teeny these days with a big pair of ‘plants) and one of my personal favourites, Gwen Summers, in addition to two less well-known cuties, Delia and Mazzy Page. Unfortunately, Annabel Chong worked her way into the movie too ... but these things happen.

The teen theme works well with the four young girls and their nice natural bodies. The plot is pretty stupid – it has some amusing moments but is entirely skippable. I’ve disliked most of Jim Powers’ work but this movie seems more coherent than his others and the sex was OK. While great for Powers and decent by normal comparison, there could have been a lot more done with the cast (especially Gwen).

Once you fast-forward past the long annoying ad at the start, there's a good range of extras. There’s star bios, a behind the scenes feature, solo scenes for each of the girls (quite sexy except for the awful music), a French language track and a bonus movie, which unfortunately is pretty bad. The A/V quality was average but there were a few minor glitches and some of the scene lighting wasn’t up to scratch.

Delia and Mark Wood are first up. Delia is a cute exotic-looking blonde. Mark sucks her beautiful natural tits with understandable enthusiasm, working his way down to her hairy pussy and fingering both her holes. She gives a brief, decent b.j. before riding him RC. The scene is interrupted and Mark is kicked out to make way for Tyce Bune. When the sex resumes, there is a large amount of unappealing white lube around Delia’s pussy. She takes Tyce anally too, with some good moments but the scene just ends – no pop. While not bad, it certainly could have been better, especially without the interruption.

Allysin Chaynes and Jay Ashley play a game of quarters, which is just an excuse for Jay to enjoy his jailbait. Petite Allysin looks very young and has a tanned body and virtually no tits. She loses the game and blows Jay briefly. He licks her equally briefly then they screw on a couch. The sex isn’t bad and of note, Allysin drinks beer and eats pizza at various stages, which was quite novel. Jay cums in her mouth, which she spits onto her chin.

Mazzy Page, a cute redheaded girl, demonstrates her cock-sucking talent on Brian Surewood, John West and Pat Myne. The guys pour beer on their cocks and in her mouth. All oral in this scene with no penetration shown, though Pat gets behind Mazzy at one stage. She receives three fair to excellent loads in and around her mouth, and on her cheek and chin. It looks like Pat did most of the damage. The sucking wasn’t great as the cocks were too often touching each other. Good post-cum lingering.

Allysin tackles J.J. Michaels and Mark in a poorly-lit room. She blows both guys and rides them. The guys DP her small frame, which didn’t seem to work out all that well. Not much was shown and some footage was looped, so the DP mustn’t have lasted long. The guys cum on her cheeks and she gives some PC head. Again, the scene could have been much improved, especially the DP, which seemed to be the reason for the scene.

Beautiful Gwen Summers stumbles across drunk Brandon Iron on a staircase and decides to blow him. The lighting and colour in this scene were a little off. Gwen keeps her bra on. The b.j. was filmed poorly from underneath both performers, which was starting to remind me of some of Jim Powers’ other bad work. Brandon drips weakly on Gwen’s face. Unfortunately, that’s the extent of Gwen’s part in this movie, which was an awful waste.

Allysin stumbles across drunk Johnny Thrust in the toilets and decides to blow him in the cubicle. The setting was quite disgusting and Johnny (Gwen’s husband) isn’t much of a performer. Overall, the scene was completely off-putting, ending with a weak facial. Remembering Powers’ other movies, I’m not surprised how bad this was.

As if to prove the point, the movie ends with Annabel Chong forcing herself on Brian and J.J. Annabel is considerably old and unattractive – not a teen by any stretch of the imagination. She also has a terrible voice and is a real disaster in both the audio and visual departments. She blows and rides both guys before a rather ugly, looped DP and the guys’ loads on her mug. She also had weird, gross marks on her left hand that look like cigarette burns. Yuck. To give this movie a fighting chance, I’ve excluded this scene from the ratings (it’s the last scene so you don’t really have to watch it).
