Initial Expectations: This is Hustler’s longest running series, which gives me a lot of hope for it. Of course, having Cheyenne Silver in it doesn’t hurt anything either.

Initial Reaction: It’s the best barely legal / schoolgirl type feature I’ve seen.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of natural and younger (but legal) girls

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting implants, heavy plot, and poor production values

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced. There’s a few minor blemishes with the audio, but they’re few and far between. The video is also pretty good. There’s a bit of grain to it, almost as if it was shot on film and treated very good. I’m guessing that the feature was shot on video and then treated with filters to give it this effect since it’s very even throughout the video. The lighting is also very even throughout the scenes, although it is a bit dark in some scenes and it does change from scene to scene. Being a vignette type feature, I don’t have a problem with this because it does help them to stand apart pretty well.

Music: The music has a bit of a rock feel, and rests very quietly in the background. It fits each scene pretty well, and helps them out.

Menus: The menus are very nicely done, especially for a DVD that’s been out for approaching three years. The main menu has some nice animation, and the chapter menu lets you decide on a scene based on a small clip for each scene and a title.

The Feature: Barely Legal is a collection of unrelated sex scenes. Each scene has a title screen to let you know who directed it, followed by a nice little setup sequence that’s narrated by one of the girls in the scene. From there on, it’s hot sex with eighteen year old girls.

Lindsey, a decent looking dirty blonde who’s breasts look like they are just starting to appear, starts things off with Tristan in Clive McLean’s After School. She heads back to her apartment after a little masturbation break on her bike, and quickly heads inside to lose some clothes and play with herself a little more. She’s discovered by her stepbrother Tristan, who watches her through the window and starts rubbing his cock. He only wants to watch, but she wants him to fuck her. Since he only wants to watch, she decides to give him something to watch and pisses for him outside knowing how it turns him on. She brings him inside, telling him how she wants him to take her virginity, and gives him a good cock and ball sucking. Stuart Canterbury’s The Babysitter is next, and puts Kyle Stone as the Dad who takes Cheyenne Silver home. Next up is Clive McClean’s Photoplay with Gia and Anna, both of whom look a bit over eighteen. Photographer Gia welcomes Anna in for her first prospective photo shoot. She watches Anna change, and then takes a few pictures of Anna as she falls out of a short thin robe. After a bit, Gia takes off her clothes also to make Anna feel more comfortable. It’s a very nice scene. It’s supposed to be Anna’s first time, and she does a good job playing it a little standoffish while Gia plays at being a bit more experienced. Anna and Gia have good chemistry together, but not so much that it feels like this is something they do as often as they tie their shoes. It’s a nice scene that’s artistic and light.

The penultimate scene is Stuart Canterbury’s Ticket to Ride with cheerleaders Teri Starr and Kristi coming to Joel Lawrence’s house to try and sell him tickets to the big game. Joel answers the door in a towel since he just got out of the shower. After his towel falls off they get into a little “I’ve showed you mine, now you show me yours” and each play with themselves a bit. It’s a good scene with nice chemistry, but the camera angles didn’t do much for me here. It was very rare to see both the girl getting boned and her facial expression as it was happening. This held the scene back for me a bit, but the girls seemed to be enjoying themselves so much that the scene still worked for me.

Finally, Blair Segal and Jane Lixx take on Steve Taylor in Clive McLean’s L.A., Here I Come. After coming from the Midwest to LA, Blair meets Steve Taylor on a street. She doesn’t have a place to stay, so when he asks, she volunteers his place and then heads back with him. They play with each other on the elevator ride up, and as soon as it stops Blair goes to work on Steve’s stick orally. They head inside, where Blair turns down a longneck in favor of sucking a little more on something else. Blair does a great job showing emotions throughout the scene, including being a little nervous when Jodi appears and then warming up to her as Jodi works on her. This helps it become a great scene to end things with, and once again shows Clive McLean has one heck of a great eye for smut.

Barely Legal 2 is a fun and well done fuck flick. The setups are all nicely done and start things out with a fun feeling. Yeah, there are some normally touchy and taboo subjects such as pissing, incest, and older men doing women half their age such as the babysitter or cheerleaders, but they’re never done in a mean-spirited way. In each case, the girls are in control, and normally instigate the action. Cheyenne Silver does a great job here, and turns in one of the best scenes here. Although it’s still a good scene, I think Teri Starr and Kristi’s taking on of Joel Lawrence was probably the weakest, but only because of the style of the camera work. It’s hard to single out any one scene as the best or worst, because every scene here is well done. Most of the camera work is also well done, and I’m impressed enough with Clive McLean’s direction that I know I’m going to have to see more of him. Barely Legal 2 is definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of barely legal girls!

Extras: The slide show lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per nice looking snapshot. There’s also web links, a trailer for Barely Legal, and a profile of Clive McLean that lasts about five minutes. Clive talks about being a pain in the ass director and wanting things just right, and how he shoots a scene compared to shooting sporting clays. It’s an interesting profile, and a very good extra.

Overall: Currently, most of the Barely Legal series can be found online for between $19 and $25, with many stores offering it near the low end. Although you can find barely legal style movies a lot cheaper than this, I think this is the best DVD in that genre I’ve found so far. The scenes are all fun and hot, and the girls are cute. There’s a nice extra or two, and the technical aspects are also pretty good.

Note to Hustler: If the rest of this series is close to as good as this one, I can see why it’s been around so long!
