Review brief: "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" So, this is one of the bigger releases to start off the new year. Are we starting off on the right foot? The Movie: Neu Wave Hookers has to be one of the most enjoyable adult films I have ever seen. There are a few parts that don't work, but in the end, I had a blast watching it. For starters... the plot. Well, there really isn't one. Some hookers find a copy of New Wave Hookers, and become obsessed with it... kind of. Mostly the movie follows two of the girls, Joanna Angel and Riley Mason, and their exploits with three male strippers (Kurt Lockwood, Tommy Pistol, and James Deen). The plot isn't what makes this movie good though. What makes this movie good are three things, the directing, the sex, and the music. The directing is top notch. At no point could I take my eyes off the screen. Eon McKai has a visual style that just draws you in. So, even when I wasn't turned on, I was tuned in. Then there is the sex.

Review brief: This DVD is good not great. The chapter system is horrible, each girl/scene runs in ONE single chapter. What I noticed first about this title is that it is not a John Strong Productions title but instead a general Platinum X title with John as director. The 2257 info and the pxp watermark confirm my suspicions as I had never seen the watermark in John's movies before. Review brief: Well fans here we have a real treat and that's the third installment in the Pink Velvet franchise by the esteemed director Viv Thomas. Now there has been some sort of storyline in the 3 pictures but it's really not important unless you're a stickler for dialogue. For me these movies have been a joyride through the wonders of g/g sex. You just have to sit back and let Mr. Thomas be your guide and more accurately once he trains the camera on the willing girls before him they become your guides and what lovely treats they have in store for you this time. Review brief: "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" So,this is one of those movies that David Stanley is known for. Does it live up to the hype? The Movie: First off, if you don't want a lot of story and dialogue with your porn, don't get this movie. Bare Stage is around two hours long, and a good chunk of that is dialogue. I mean, if you cut the sex out you would still have a 90 minute movie, or something around that time frame. And it helps that the plot and dialogue are actually good. The basic premise of Bare Stage is that Savanna Samson wants to be a famous actress, and she becomes one, but in good ol' David Stanley style, things soon go to hell. The acting in this movie is good. Most of the actors handle their dialogue heavy roles well. The stand out though is Lezley Zen as the hooker with the heart of gold. While most of the actors ham it up, and play their roles with a nice dose of camp, Lezley plays her's with a surprising amount of honesty. I mean, I seriously was just amazed by her acting chops in this one.

Prior to that, it was almost like I was refusing to give out five stars. I don't feel the need to scrutinize everything now. 24 hours after I submitted that review, Renee was named performer of the year at the E-Line Awards, formerly known as the Venus awards. Review brief: Well this is a David Luger release and looking over the cast list the girls all seem pretty new to the biz for me. Also of note this title ends with creampies so if you don't like internal pops then you don't need watch any further. Now a further declaration to fans of messy creampies this one is also one you can probably skip as none of the scenes features what I'd call a particularly messy finish. What struck me about this title is the normalcy of it all. The girls weren't dolled up in fetishy outfits like you see in so many titles nowadays. Instead they wore skirts, tops that you'd see any regular girl wearing out on the town and I appreciated that. It is great to see a girl dolled up don't get me wrong but this approach showing the girls as they normally appear was a nice change of pace. The Movie: First off, if you don't want a lot of story and dialogue with your porn, don't get this movie. Bare Stage is around two hours long, and a good chunk of that is dialogue. I mean, if you cut the sex out you would still have a 90 minute movie, or something around that time frame. And it helps that the plot and dialogue are actually good. The basic premise of Bare Stage is that Savanna Samson wants to be a famous actress, and she becomes one, but in good ol' David Stanley style, things soon go to hell. The acting in this movie is good. Most of the actors handle their dialogue heavy roles well. The stand out though is Lezley Zen as the hooker with the heart of gold. While most of the actors ham it up, and play their roles with a nice dose of camp, Lezley plays her's with a surprising amount of honesty. I mean, I seriously was just amazed by her acting chops in this one.

Review brief: Prologue Whenever there's a genre that's underserved, or a fetish or niche that's getting a lot of discussion, it seems Devil's Film jumps right into the fray and creates a series for it. They don't always get it right but you can't say they aren't trying. This niche is MILFs. And they've gone even further to make it a gangbang video. Now for someone who is not familiar with Julia this could possibly be a little upsetting when you actually see her scene and see the tattoos. To me it's not a big deal at all, I've seen them upclose and they look great but I don't think they should have been wiped away on the cover. It does make it look nice and clean, though, and I'm guessing that was the look they were going for but I thought I should point that out anyway.
