The dvd cover looks well done and based on the present features out there this should be decently put together, at least from the technical end. There is a decent cast as well, so hopefully the sex will be good. VIDEO/AUDIO: The video was in a widescreen presentation. The video was rather good without any harsh grain or artifacts. The audio was well done as well. Review brief: North Pole #45 is the most recent of this very successful Peter North line. The formula for success here is simple: attractive performers, very little setup or dialogue, and good, hard sex. The camerawork is usually excellent and the sets and lighting are professional. Review brief: I have been renting and buying porn for nearly 30 years. I usually make a decision on which titles to get by the actresses in the cast list. I have never acquired smut based on the actors involved. I do, however, avoid certain flicks when guys like Pat Myne are involved. Review brief: Sweet Sounds is a bit off key and hits some sour notes. This is a couples-only flick from director Nicholas Steele that features cute Aussie Monica Mayhem as an aspiring nightclub singer. As a singer, Monica makes a good porn actress. The script for this movie could not have been more than two pages long. Every hackneyed porn cliché is used here, including long, lingering shots of the guys faces as they get blowjobs and during cumshots, cameras catching the action from behind the performers heads, and a terrible soundtrack. Considering the terrific-looking cast, this could have been a great flick. Instead it is run-of-the-mill. Jesse V. is a cute dirty blonde. She hooks up with Cheyne Collins in a kitchen scene with only two position changes and a butt cumshot. Monica is auditioning in a nightclub, singing a ballad and wearing a revealing white outfit. Review brief: Six Degrees of Penetration is a very good porn flick. Director Sky Blue brings out the best in her ensemble cast, doesnt screw up the atmosphere with stupid special effects, and basically just presents 94 minutes of very hot sex. The limited storyline (thank you, Skye!) follows a necklace that Chloe gives to her lover, Rafe. She tells him to give it to his next conquest who, in turn, must promise to do the same, etc., etc. Most of the action resumes just a few minutes after that of the previous scene, Skye preferring to let her performers fuck rather than act (thanks again). Review brief: Butt Detective is strictly a couples film that could have been great, but instead is ruined by an editor with too many toys to play with on his control board. There are some very hot ladies here, but their performances are completely sabotaged by loud, obnoxious music and MTV-style camera work. This flick is part of what VCA calls its Classics on DVD series. What a misnomer! Calling this a classic is an insult to all the truly great pornos that preceded it. I found myself FF through the sex scenes and watching the plot. That doesnt happen often! The often-humorous storyline has wealthy Jon Dough hiring private eye Harry Spader (Mike Horner) to find a girl - with only a snapshot of her butt as a clue. Review brief: NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies dont have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. Im rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also arent normally the glamour stars one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as its often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesnt have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. Review brief: To Completion #4 is one of the better blowjob movies around. As with all these oral only flicks, there are 4-5 well-known studettes to give the title some star power, a few B girls, and a couple C listers. The heavyweights (in name only) here are Aurora Snow, Krystal Steal, Daisy Dukes, and Fiona Bones. Master Blaster is listed as the director, but Jules Jordan is running this show. Im not sure if they are one and the same. Most of the male cast is unseen. All the girls take facials, and a few swallow. Two girls Jade Marcella and Justine Romee blow two guys at a time and take double shots to their mugs. Melody, Stacy Carpenter, and Trixie Kelly round out the female cast list. Review brief: NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies dont have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. Im rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also arent normally the glamour stars one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as its often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesnt have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen.
