The First Word:  Gone are the nervous co-eds from the early California College Student Bodies series--it's now pretty much a low-budget series featuring first-timers.

What's It About?:   The CCSB series was the old school predecessor to series such as Hustler's Real College Girls, with supposed college girls showing up to do some nude modeling that turned into a solo masturbation scene or occasionally a boy-girl.  The nervousness of the girls was real, even if the sex was on the lame side.  By this 25th volume, the series has turned into more of an amateur/newcomer-focused one.

Amber Ways -- Amber is a 22-year old redhead from Los Angeles who sports shapely natural breasts and a shaved pussy.  After a short interview, she strips and plays with her pussy.  Through a little finger penetration, rubbing, and anal fingering, she gets herself off quickly--a little too quickly and strongly if you ask me.   It's an okay scene that would have been more enjoyable if the cameraman wasn't blocking the light with his body as he moved around the bed.

Audrina and Cindy -- These 20-year old brunettes with natural boobs give about a 15-second interview before they start playing with each other.  The foreplay is pretty good, with a lot of kissing and breast sucking.  After a bit of pussy licking, they move on to some toys, first a vibrating egg then a larger vibe that sounds like a barber shop hair clipper.  If you listen past the buzzing, you can hear some good wet penetration sounds to match the good--if dark--shots.  Technically, the cameraman again did a shitty job:  the angles don't give a clear view of the action, and when they do, the lighting is too dim.  And for some reason, the scene ends abruptly with no orgasm from either of the ladies.  

Dani and Michael -- This is a boy-girl couple scene that starts out with a lame, awkward interview (neither wants to talk much).  It's pretty obvious they've never done a video before, and it starts out pretty slow and tender as they trade oral sex before settling into a slow missionary fuck.  They go from mish to the rarely seen prone doggy position that I like.  Michael finishes with a strong pop on her stomach--without having to beat off.  While it's a good couple's scene, I can't get into it.  Not only do I not like the abundant tattoos on her back (including several iron crosses), but physically they are not appealing to watch--she with her flabby tummy and him being way too thin).

Violet - She's a young looking 18-year old with small natural tits and a shaved pussy. This is apparently her first  video, as the pony-tailed interviewer tries to put her at ease before he starts to go down on her.  I wince when I see him eat her out with his scruffy beard...I'm sure that feels wonderful!  She timidly sucks his cock, and then the guy climbs on top of her.  I was waiting for the scene to self-destruct, since the guy is no Pierre Woodman, but to my surprise, there's a really good spoon vaginal and the scene finishes with a creampie, complete with a little dribbling.  the worst thing about this scene is the displaying of three different websites at different points in the scene.  I hate that!

Adrian and Jon -- This is a hot blowjob scene that gets started immediately:  No preamble this blonde starts sucking the guy hands-free on a couch.  Unlike the other scenes, it's a nice and bright location they are shooting in.  Jon just lays back in his wife-beater and gets the BJ of his life.  If my wife wasn't a master at the hummer herself, I would be envious of Jon.  Adrian blows and jerks him to a big orgasm, getting him to pop all over his chest and stomach.  A bit of it gets on his wife-beater and she says, "It got on your shirt, I'm sorry."  I'm pretty amused that either of them care about the damn shirt when she just gave him a blowjob on camera!

Gabriella Banks - This cute, 19-year old brunette with big, real boobs seems to be in a hurry to get the shoot over and done with.  I don't like her jaded and insincere attitude (it was like, yeah, I'm going to masturbate with this vibrator right here, so let's get started already) .  In this solo scene, she uses a golden vibe on clit while using her middle finger for penetration.  She really starts to get into it, but then she gets distracted by something off camera and stops without having a big O.  How disappointing!

What I liked: Fresh Talent:  By and large, the girls are attractive and pretty much newcomers to the adult scene.  While that also means they aren't experienced to know what looks good on camera, it's not a big loss since the cameraman doesn't seem to be that experienced either.  Regardless, you get that slightly nervous or unsure vibe that only comes from performers who are not biz veterans.

Adrian Sucks Jon:  It's a great scene and humorous too.  I love hands-free blowjobs, and Adrian is very good with the hands-free.  The lighting is bright...almost too bright, but I'll take that over too dark any day.

What I didn't like:  Rough production values:  Here's the laundry list:  poor lighting, mostly shot in hotel rooms and bedrooms, changing angles through camera movement rather than edits, few explicit shots, no separate mic for sound, and low budget DVD mastering.  It looks and feels like an amateur video than something from an established company and series.

Stupid interviews:  Even Ed Powers does pre-fuck interviews better than the guy in this video.  I think most producers know when to just can the gab and move on to the hardcore when things aren't working (or at least cut the stuff out in the edit bay).  But it seems that just about every usable second of footage was included. 

DVD Extras:  The previews included on the disc is really just a bunch of box cover slides until the five minute mark.  Then there's a minute or two of really crappy home video clips.  The whole thing then repeats, followed by a website ad.  Talk about suck-o-rama!  But the bonus "Bloopers, Blunders and Blowjobs Too" has to be better, right?  Nope--it's 59 minutes of fast forward material.  With mostly clips from Homegrown Video's amateur collection, the sex is weak and the only funny part is at the beginning when a girl accidentally farts in the guy's face.

A/V Quality:   While passable in the VHS days, the A/V quality is pretty substandard compared to just about every professional studio.  The picture is soft and grainy at points, and the camerawork and lighting are the trademark of guys with little or no experience who think they can make adult videos.  On the other hand, it does give the video a more amateur feel to it.

The Last Word:   Unfortunately, the college aspect that used to be a part of the CCSB series in the early days is gone and forgotten.  It's still an okay amateur series, as long as you keep your expectations low and don't pay too much for it.  Volume 25 has a few good scenes, and if you ignore some of the rougher moments, it's a good rental at least.
