Review brief: Review: Wet Sweaty Boobs is an excellent production from B. Skow and Vivid that features former contract girl, Lia, in three scenes, along with Carla Cox, Briana Blair, and Carmen McCarthy in one scene apiece. Noteworthy here is the fact that this film puts forth two boy-girl sequences from Lia, of which there are only a handful now on DVD. While these are typically very good, the real show-stealers here are the first segmentbetween Carla Cox and Mr. Marcusand the final segmentwhich pairs Carmen McCarthy with Anthony Rosano. Indeed, until Carmens spectacular romp at the end of the disc, I was leaning more toward a four-star review than the four-and-a-half stars that I ultimately gave this production. Its that good. Also worthy of a mention is the high-quality, tease-and-glimpse camerawork thats employed herefrom wet tee-shirts to up-skirtsthese softcore elements really work to get the viewer ready for the upcoming segments. In terms of the plot, there is oneandwhile not horribly intricateit is reasonably clever.

Review brief: The Vow by Barrett Blade and Wicked Pictures is a very good production that focuses on a gentleman (played by Eric Masterson) who is having severe trouble getting over his manipulative ex-girlfriend (played by Capri Cavalli). In trying to deal with his plight, Eric decides to abstain from any type of sexual activity for 40 full days. Finding out about this, his less-than-mature friend / room-mate (played by Nick Manning) and his co-workers find a way to create an internet betting scheme out of the whole thingwhich Capri, by the end of the movie, tries to sabotage personally. Fortunately, Eric meets Alektra Blue along the way, and true love ultimately triumphs. In a nutshell, this is the plotwhich is actually fairly good and really makes for a fun watch. It also provides for decent setups of the various sexual encounters that take place. With that, lets take a closer look at those encounters. You knowthe sexual ones. In Scene One, Capri Cavalli and Eric Masterson get it on in a dream that Eric is having.

Review brief: Review: Getting Off with Monique is a very good production from B. Skow and Vivid that features former contract performer, Monique Alexander, in half of its four scenes. The general theme for this movie revolves around the actresses getting themselves, their partners, and the viewer offhence, the title. Along these lines, the boy-girl sequences all start off with the relevant female performer doing some sexy posing, stripping, teasing, talking to the camera, and / or masturbating to try to both work the viewer up and also include him (or her) in the segment that is to follow. For the one girl-girl scene, the ladies strip down together prior to the action, and there is still plenty of speaking directly to the camera on their parts. Typically, this all works to good effect and adds to the overall production. In terms of the sex, Scene One features Monique Alexander getting it on with Marco Banderas in a bedroom with a circular, brown bed and a dark, furry carpet. Review brief: Review: Alektras Dirty Mind is a very good production from Jim Enright and Wicked that features tight-bodied contract performer, Alektra Blue. The premise behind the feature is a simple onethe dirty thoughts that wander through the minds of women and how they act upon themand it serves as a nice mechanism for linking the various themed sequences together. Furthering this motif is the use of appropriate settings, voice-overs by Alektra prior to each scene, and dancing, teasing, and / or posing by the given actress also prior to each encounter. The camerawork here is generally very good, as are the production values of the main featurethough there was a bit of pixilation for a few moments in the Brooke Haven sequence. This isnt too bad or lengthy, however, and it may have been specific to my copy of the disc. With all of that out of the way, lets take a look at the sex. In Scene One, Alektra Blue takes on her onscreen husband, Danny Mountain, in a sexy, pool-side romp that falls somewhere between the very good and excellent levels of quality.

Review brief: Uptown Girl, directed by Fancois Clousot and distributed by Wicked Pictures, is an overall-good, plot-driven feature that revolves around Kirsten Price as a self-absorbed supermodel who is brought back to reality by an average-guy car mechanic played by Tommy Gunn. The storyline is quite good for an adult film, as is the acting. Given that the action is set in the New York City area in the 80s, attempts are made at adopting the appropriate, region-specific accents. While these are a bit much at times, they do add to the overall feel that the production is aiming for. As is typical for Wicked, the quality of the product, as well as the settings and camerawork, are all solid, and the sex itself is generally hotparticularly that involving Ms. Price. Kirsten stars in two of the five scenes that make up the sexual component of the movie, and they are both excellent. In Scene One, she has a steamy girl-girl encounter with Alektra Blue in the back of a club.

Fortunatelyand belaying any initial hesitations that I may have hadAxel Braun and Vivid have really delivered the goods with this production and have truly set the standard for what an adult-oriented parody should be. The plot, the jokes, the settings, the props (other than an out-of-place toy Phaser-like weapon reminiscent of the Star Trek show), and the acting are all quite good and also extraordinarily reflective of the original show. While everything starts out hunky-dory, there is an abrupt (almost too much so) shift in the plot about midway through, and things ultimately get ugly. Regardless, the sex generally remains hot and varied throughout the film, and the settings, acting, and production values really stand out. Sex-wise, things get off to a quick start as Kirsten Price and Mick Blue are picked up mid-action in Scene One. While I recognize that McKais tendency is toward being more artistic and establishing a unique look for his adult filmsand, as such, I have taken this into account somewhat positively in prior reviewsit has always been a noted concern of mine that he was being artsy simply for the sake of appearing edgy, different, and deep. Along these lines, I have always been concerned that this would one day take his work too far and ruin its value as an adult-oriented product. In Eyelashes, this is indeed what has finally transpired. Sowhat kills (literally) this movie as an adult film? The actresses are fine. The actors are fine. The sex, on the whole, even appears to be fine. Sure, the colors are drab, the sets are dull, the angles are sometimes awkward, the cuts are jumpy, and the camerawork is often jittery and jerky.

The female performerswho all have one-on-one boy/girl sequences with Evangenerally have fairly typical porn looks. (Againthis isnt meant as an insult but, instead, as more of an observation.) As such and to me, the title is something of a misnomer. Additionally, the viewer is going to have to be amenable to watching Evan have sex in every scene in order to fully enjoy this endeavor. Given that he is heavily tattooedhe is a rocker, of coursethis may be a bit difficult for some audiences, and it certainly doesnt help the production in terms of variety.

The featured contract performer in this one is AJ Bailey, though the supporting cast—Krissy Lynn, Charley Chase, Misty Stone, and Vanessa Leon—plays just as prominent (and hot) a role. Each of the five sex scenes presented here is preceded by a very effective, well-captured, and well-thought-out suspenseful / thriller-based setup that frames the individual segments in a unique and ultra-sexy manner. B. Skow definitely has brought forth a winner in this production.

Review brief: “Dirty Stories” is a very good production from Vivid and Paul Thomas that features ex-Vivid Girl, Monique Alexander, as its star attraction. The film generally employs themed sequences as a means of setting up and enacting the scenes—of which there are five. This mechanism is frequently utilized by Paul Thomas these days and serves the purpose of getting the viewer into the action a little bit more than if the segments were to simply jump straight into the fucking. Along with this motif, one typically finds more realistic sets in Thomas’ work as of late, and this is also the case here. In all, these items are utilized to good effect in this production and add value to it.
