Camp Beaverlake (Arrow) review summaries:
Flash's
Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is a great example of everything that went wrong in the video tape era. Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is an early shot on video movie that has already tossed away everything from when adult films were shot on film. There is no real plot and much of what of present appears to be improvised. The movie is poorly shot and, despite Bobby Hollander coming from when adult films were shot on film, comes across as looking very amateur. Arrow has done a poor job with this release utilizing a horrible video master and including no extras. [read the full review]

Bitches In Heat 10 (LBO) review summaries:
fu_q's
"Bitches in Heat 10" is a short (~30 minutes), 1988 release from L.B.O. that packs four short sequences into its scant running time. Featured are the likes of Crystal Breeze, Fawn Paris, Brooke Fields, and Andrea Adams... all of whom, while not horribly popular back in the day (save maybe Breeze), are fairly decent in the sack. Miss Passion & Love Bites review summaries:
Linus'
Miss Passion and Love Bites Double Feature Directed by: Suze Randall - Initial Thoughts: Flashback time, back to the days of bush and big hair. For this disc, we take a trip back to the 80's, when Amber and Ginger Lynn were all the rage in porn, and features ruled the day. Suze Randall brings us a double feature, one movie from each of these two super babes catalogue. Miss Passion features Ginger Lynn, and is hosted by Suze Randall as "Suze Cooze" and is kind of this mix between a sexual exhibition and a porn gameshow, basically the precursor to Gonzo, with some style and costumes added. Love Bites features Amber Lynn, and is more of a traditional feature, with a focus on fantasy. Both features are cut down a bit, "Miss Passion is missing about 19 minutes and 2 scenes, Ginger and Traci and Steve Drake and Traci. "Love Bites" is missing nearly 25 minutes, and I couldn't find how many scenes since there was no good breakdown anywhere I looked. Again Traci is the reason. [read the full review]

Modeling Studio, The review summaries:
fu_q's
Judging a porn film by its box cover or its title is rarely a good idea, but we all do it, of course. So...when I saw Michael Cates' "The Modeling Studio" from Collector's Video (1984) as a choice on AdultEmpire.com's Unlimited service, I was initially less than enthused about it. Indeed, its box cover is subpar and unexciting, and its title is as banal as banal can be. That, however, is pretty much where any of the complaints stop. To be sure, this film's cast, which relies heavily upon the erotic talents of a young Ginger Lynn (Oh my!) and the uber-sexual Erica Boyer (RIP)--with assists from the likes of Heather Wayne and Roxanne Rollan along the way--is impeccable, as is its heat...which builds from the beginning and never looks back. Gang Bangs (LBO) review summaries:
fu_q's
When Peter North strikes out with just about every girl whom he knows, he ends up heading to a local strip club, where the bartender regales him with tales of gangbang upon sexy gangbang. Such is the case in the aptly-titled "GangBangs", a (what would have been) very good, 1985 release from LBO and director John Stagliano. [read the full review]

Hot Tails review summaries:
Flash's
Hot Tails is a collection of unrelated and poorly shot sex scenes. Some even more poorly created connective tissue has been made to try and make the sex scenes appear to be connected. The entire venture has the feel of a half-assed project that no one cared about from the beginning and just wanted to get it over with. Classic X Collection has done a horrible job with this release with unacceptably poor audio and video quality. [read the full review]

"Marilyn Chambers Private Fantasies 2", the second installment in the Marilyn-driven and -narrated, 1980's fantasy vignette series from I-Candy, offers up five sequences starring the former Ivory Snow Girl, all nominally representative of her various fantasies, and one, extraneous Old West scene thrown in for good (...or bad...) measure. The road to Hell may be paved with good intentions, but it's an all-out, freak-filled fuck-fest once you get there, at least that's if the diabolical director of the dirty, Greg Dark, is to be believed. Such is the case in his two-part classic series from 1986 and VCA, "The Devil in Miss Jones 3 and 4", that finds the gorgeous, blonde punk porner and AVN Hall-of-Famer, Lois Ayres (as the seemingly timid and troubled "Justine Jones"), slamming her head into the wall whilst out revenge-fucking and then ending up in the perverted pits of Hell. To my surprise and delight, DMJ 3 and DMJ 4 are in fact one film. While titled as sequels to Damiano's 1973 masterpiece, DMJ 3 /4 is closer to a remake, or even more appropriately, a re-telling of Damiano's tale. In fact, besides the name of the heroine and the film itself, as well as the basic premise of a woman dying and ending up in Hell, this film has no similarities to either of the earlier two entries in the series. VCA has collected Devil in Miss Jones 3: A New Beginning and Devil in Miss Jones 4: The Final Outrage together for this set which makes sense since the two films are actually one film split in half. Gregory Dark's set of two films is very different than Gerard Damiano's original film and are very much a product of the 80s in their visual stylings. The two films are well done and definately worth seeing. VCA has done a good job with their release of the two films on this set with good video despite lacking extras. [read the full review]

It's 80s punk-kink to the max when the lovely ladies of Jamie Gillis' and Jack Baker's freaky escort agency don their headphones and take in the intoxicating tunes of their new wave music. With the sexy sounds both impairing their judgment and overriding their inhibitions, these young women can (and will) do just about anything...and their assorted customers are most certainly the winners. Such is the case in the Dark Brothers' classic production, "New Wave Hookers", from VCA Pictures. [read the full review]

Corey Thomas'
The Dark Brothers' "New Wave Hookers" was an original (before the numerous sequels), hot, hilarious movie upon its release in 1985 and some, but not all of those elements hold up today. The story involves two slackers, Jimmy (Jamie Gillis) and Jamal (Jack Baker), who spend their time drinking beer and watching porn videos. As the movie begins, Jimmy tells Jamal they should become pimps and open an escort service, New Wave Hookers, where the girls would fuck to new wave music. They soon fall asleep, where they are transported into another world: They now run New Wave Hookers Incorporated and have a "dog" (Steve Powers), who telepathically receives phone calls. Their first girl is Candy (Desiree Lane), who skates into their office. Jimmy and the "dog" try her out, while Jimmy watches and masturbates (Jack Baker was actually a legitimate actor, playing Sticks on "Happy Days", and his sexual acts are limited to self-gratification and oral sex). Next Brooke Fields and Kimberly Carson visit a barely recognizable Peter North, who lives in a tent. [read the full review]

New Wave Hookers is not a film for everyone and will probably not be enjoyed by the average raincoater crowd. For viewers that like an adult film where the plot is important for the film and the sex fits into the film, this might be the film for you. Bear in mind though when selecting this film that the film is weird, purposely so, and if that is not your thing, you'll want to pass on this film. [read the full review]
