Hot Tails is essentially an all sex straight to video quickie that was made in the mid-80s. Hot Tails might actually be a compilation movie with a little connective material that was shot to link the scenes together. The connective tissue has Jane (Ali Moore) who has her high school friend Jill (Bunny Bleu) over for a spaghetti lunch while Jane is on break from college. Jane and Jill reminisce about high school and about their friend Kelly's party. The little dialog that is present is absolutely horrible and there is no story here. No attempt at an arc of any sort, any conflict, anything at all.

The sex scenes here are very generic and literally could have been made for any adult movie. The scenes, on average, are poorly made leaving the actors sometimes completely faceless throughout the scene. The cast members in the scenes are reused as different characters throughout the movie, again giving the impression that this is a compilation of scenes from other previously existing sources. Most of the sex scenes have no dialog just moans and groans with 80s adult movie music over the scenes. A few scenes have some dialog but most of what is said is drowned out by the music. Then to bring the disappointment this movie offers to its climax, the scene that the movie builds to with Jane and Jill is glossed right over.

Hot Tails is an easily forgettable shot on video adult movie that is likely either a compilation of previously released scenes or a collection of scenes that were unable to be used for their original intended purpose. Either way, the movie is a clear and obvious repackage. The entire movie is poorly shot, from the non-sexual footage to the sex scenes themselves. The scenes that were used in the movie are not even close to being good scenes. Hot Tails is not a movie that anyone should ever bother to see.

Classic X Collection has done a horrible job with their release of Hot Tails. Hot Tails was shot on video and is presented here in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 480i. The video presentation on this release is an absolute mess and is completely unacceptable. The master used was clearly a VHS tape making the resolution 250i, not 480i. There are glitches in the video throughout the presentation. There is band across the top of the screen where the color changes. The image itself varies from being dark and light. There are places where the color looks like it was painted on with a paintbrush due to the lack of definition present. There are some major jumps in the picture and there is one point where the picture has black lines all over what appears to be color so saturated that it couldn't be rendered properly.

Hot Tails is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio track. The audio track contains a very noticeable hiss throughout the presentation. There are periods of heavy distortion as well. There are places where the dialog is impossible to hear or make out. The audio track is well below the average that any viewers should expect.

Classic X Collection hasn't included any extras on this release at all.

Hot Tails is a collection of unrelated and poorly shot sex scenes. Some even more poorly created connective tissue has been made to try and make the sex scenes appear to be connected. The entire venture has the feel of a half-assed project that no one cared about from the beginning and just wanted to get it over with. Classic X Collection has done a horrible job with this release with unacceptably poor audio and video quality.
