Review:
Judging a porn film by its box cover or its title is rarely a good idea, but we all do it, of course. So...when I saw Michael Cates' "The Modeling Studio" from Collector's Video (1984) as a choice on AdultEmpire.com's Unlimited service, I was initially less than enthused about it. Indeed, its box cover is subpar and unexciting, and its title is as banal as banal can be. That, however, is pretty much where any of the complaints stop. To be sure, this film's cast, which relies heavily upon the erotic talents of a young Ginger Lynn (Oh my!) and the uber-sexual Erica Boyer (RIP)--with assists from the likes of Heather Wayne and Roxanne Rollan along the way--is impeccable, as is its heat...which builds from the beginning and never looks back. Lynn and Boyer are scorching as they set fire to the screen in their various scenes, both together and separately, and the action and its raw intensity are captured exceptionally throughout. While the plot is nothing to write home about--Ginger is a happy-go-ending masseuse who ends up in front of her photographer client's, Marc Wallice's, sensual lens, as do others--it really doesn't matter, as the fucking is so fierce and erotically charged that the storyline is an afterthought. In a phrase, this is a pud-puller-and-a-half, if ever there were one, with its only meaningful drawback being its box cover...but who jerks off to a box cover, anyway? I highly recommend this flick. Period. Hands down and dicks up, it's a winner!

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds the oiled-up, and oh-so-gorgeous, blonde legend, Ginger Lynn, giving a customer, Steve Drake, a massage in which she rubs her hands and body all over him. Of course, this transitions in relatively short order into a happy ending (...and then some...), as Ms. Lynn provides both an "oral" and "vaginal" massage for Drake, as well (pop on her bush). (There's a brief bit of material seemingly randomly cut into this sequence which has Ginger again oiled up, but this time being worked over by a number of male hands as they probe her holes whilst she lays face-down...???) In Scene Two (intercut with the last), one of Ginger's clients, a photographer, Marc Wallice, goes to work on his secretary, the luscious Erica Boyer, getting his hands up under her loose, gray miniskirt ensemble (sans panties)...and then his dick into both her mouth and pussy (cum-shot on her pussy, bush, and pelvis). Scene Three offers up the short-haired, leggy blonde, Roxanne Rollan, clad in red lingerie, masturbating after reading an ad about modeling and realizing that she fits the bill. After she gets going, her equally-blond guy, Greg Rome, catches her in the act...and then gets in on it himself. Immediate oral and vaginal action ensues, with Greg pounding her in a handful of positions before uncorking on her tummy and bush (Scene Four). In Scene Five, an unemployed dancer, Tom Byron, slips it to his hot-to-trot girlfriend, the lovely Heather Wayne, after she pops by in her purple workout gear for a quickie...which is exactly what she gets in the oral and vaginal romp that rolls forth (squirting ejaculation on her tummy and chest). Scene Six pairs up two of the phenomenal porn beauties of the flick (...and the era, for that matter...), Ginger Lynn and Erica Boyer, in an off-the-charts sexy, girl-on-girl romp at Marc Wallice's office. Fingers, tongues, and 69'ing comprise the action in this carnal, lesbian coupling...which then quickly transforms into a torrid three-way upon Marc's return. The further fucking that follows is fervent, rife with oral and vaginal sex all around, and the festivities eventually finish off with a double facial for the ladies (post-cum head ; Scene Seven). (...So freakin' hot!...) In Scene Eight, two new models at Marc Wallice's studio, Roxanne Rollan and Steve Powers, get turned on and then get down to business, all as Marc snaps pictures. Of course, Marc's ever-ready secretary, Erica Boyer, catches a glimpse of what's going on, immediately strips down, and gets in on the action herself. Finally, Wallice can't take it anymore, drops the camera, and hops in, too. A scorching, full-on, oral and vaginal fucking unfolds, with both Boyer and Rollan inhaling bone--Marc's and Steve's, respectively--as well as impaling themselves upon it. While this sequence is predominantly a side-by-side boinking by the two couples once all of the participants are onboard, it's stilly crazy-hot. Rollan jerks a load out of Powers all over her tummy and tits, while Wallice ejaculates on Boyer's bush and pussy out of reverse-cowgirl, in closing out this carnal caper. So hot...from sticky start to fornicating finish! Nice!
