This is another very nice release from Kelly Holland and Penthouse. The girls are good looking and the locations help to give the movie a nicely romantic feeling. Katarina Kat and Isis Love put out the best scenes, while Katja Kassin's scene surprisingly comes in at the bottom end due to an overload of mopes in her scenes. The sex is good with some nice chemistry, but some of the scenes are so dark that it's hard to see too much of what's going on. The audio is well done and there's some decent effort put into the extras even though the behind the scenes featurette doesn't have close to the personality one normally sees in a Wicked BTS. Not your normal fun and games, nope something goes terribly wrong and you see the consequences unfold with a couple twists and turns along the way. Good sex scenes too featuring Stormy in three, one with Katie Morgan and another solid one with August which opens the movie. An easy purchase for fans of Stormy's and for fans of good features, the dialogues there but not to difficult and the sex which is still the most important part to me comes off well also. A good take on the classic Al Pacino title from the early 80's with Carmen Luvana taking over the main role and she too uses the name Toni but she gets a female sidekick in Ava Rose and those two rise from washing cars to immersing themselves in the seedy drug culture much the same as Al did in the Hollywood version. The storyline here is much the same, there is the chainsaw scene, Carmen goes to Columbia to get in with the people there and we get Tommy Gunn iced out of the picture in much the same way as Robert Loggia was in the other version. You get three good Carmen scenes here, two right off the bat and the final scene with Jerry. Well worth a rental for Carmen fans as well as Ava fans. [read the full review]

With the exception of Artemisia and Marissa, this is my favorite Paul Thomas movie yet. It doesn't come close to the brilliance of the Fashionistas but it's still a worth while effort. The film is stylish and parts of it are well written. However, I felt it borrowed too heavily on a mainstream fashion film, Robert Altman's Prêt-à-Porter. The Southern belle TV reporter who interviews the major characters in the film, the criminal husband stealing a guest's luggage from the hotel, the French-Canadian assistant sneaking into a room to retrieve compromising photos and ending up in a closet with the husband. These are each clear plot points taken from Prêt-à-Porter. The most blatant use of the Prêt-à-Porter storyline, however, involves two characters portrayed by Faith & Marcos Leon. They play strangers, both married, who are accidentally assigned the same room at the hotel. After realizing the mix up, there's a mad dash to see who can get to the room first. Later, they hook up. You see a score of three-and-a-half above but honestly, if there was a way to give this three-and-three-quarter stars like Ed McMahon on STAR SEARCH, this is the title I'd give it to. I'm not sure if any other reviewer out there has made mention of this fact but the first thing I immediately thought when I popped this baby into my DVD player was, "Man, this looks ALOT like Silvera's SERVICE ANIMALS stuff." After a bit of research (which consisted of doing no more than going to this flick's official website) I learned that director Kevin Moore has served as Joey's "left side" for all of his productions. So that explains that. So let's "Tarantino" this DVD and start at its scintillating end, working our way back to its explosive start. Lastly, we have our most elaborate and lengthy set-up. Extras: Bonus Footage, Behind the Scenes, Still Gallery, Trailers. You see a score of three-and-a-half above but honestly, if there was a way to give this three-and-three-quarter stars like Ed McMahon on STAR SEARCH, this is the title I'd give it to. I'm not sure if any other reviewer out there has made mention of this fact but the first thing I immediately thought when I popped this baby into my DVD player was, "Man, this looks ALOT like Silvera's SERVICE ANIMALS stuff." After a bit of research (which consisted of doing no more than going to this flick's official website) I learned that director Kevin Moore has served as Joey's "left side" for all of his productions. So that explains that. So let's "Tarantino" this DVD and start at its scintillating end, working our way back to its explosive start. Lastly, we have our most elaborate and lengthy set-up.
