A new parody from Exquisite studios and this one takes on the popular Xena Warrior Princess show that featured Lucy Lawless in the title role. You see several familiar characters show up in this. "Grindhouse XXX: A Double Feature" is a very good production from Adam and Eve that puts forth two features, both done in the over-the-top "grindhouse" style. The first ("Student Assassin") involves Teagan Presley, a student at a local community college who moonlights as a contract killer. Her cop girlfriend (Nina Mercedez) has been taken hostage by a drug kingpin (Derrick Pierce), and it's up to Teagan to rescue her...the hard way. The second ("Massacre at Pine Lake") features Alexis Ford and her crew of camp workers at the Pine Lake camp the day prior to its seasonal opening. After a monstrous serial killer (Lee Stone) escapes from the police and happens upon the camp, the whole place turns into a bloodbath. Fortunately for Alexis, this beast is a pansy when it comes to standard women's self-defense maneuvers--too funny. Complementing all of this violence, of course, is a good deal of hot sex...which should still be the bread and butter of any adult film, plot or not. [read the full review]

After a monstrous serial killer (Lee Stone) escapes from the police and happens upon the camp, the whole place turns into a bloodbath. "Spread Eagle" is an exceptional and comical feature from B. Skow (the director), David Stanley (the writer), and Vivid that features Tommy Gunn as a superhero known as Spread Eagle. Tommy becomes Spread Eagle after a criminal shoots him and his girlfriend (Asa Akira) in an alleyway after an attempted rape gone awry. Fortunately for Tommy, an eagle descends from the sky and not only saves him but also gives him the ability to grow claws, a beak, and wings. With this, Tommy is able to fly, and he also gains a head-splattering shriek that he can use to finish off his opponents. One nice thing about this production is that its storyline--which is strong for an adult film--doesn't take itself too seriously. For instance, Tommy's beak squeaks when it's pushed or bumps up against something, and a lot of the goings-on appear to intentionally parody the whole superhero genre.
