Firestorm review summaries:
fu_q's
Hired to ghost-write a book by a wealthy socialite (Kay Parker), Eric Edwards encounters--and takes advantage of--a world in which just about everyone is corrupt. From Parker''s and her husband''s (John Leslie''s) cheating ways to an au pair with sticky fingers (Rikki Harte) to Edwards'' quasi-girlfriend/stripper (Tina Marie), everybody seems to have an angle. The only innocent one? Parker''s and Leslie''s blind daughter (Joanna Storm)...who''s naively looking for love. So goes "Firestorm", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. [read the full review]

Scoundrels review summaries:
fu_q's
Living a superficial, upper-middle class life with his mundane, flimsy facade of a family, a mediocre psychiatrist (Ron Jeremy) finds himself stuck with an unfaithful wife (Lisa B.), who's cheating upon him with his best friend (George Payne) and also their daughter's quasi-boyfriend (Sean Eilliott). Thrown into the mix is said budding, but "invisible" daughter (Tigr), who's covertly exploring her own sexuality in all manner of bizarre and dangerous ways. Of course, for his part, Ron is cheating with a slew of prostitutes and his clingy secretary (Copper Penny), who happens to also be banging Payne, as well. On top of it all, Ron finds himself harassed throughout the film (during cut-scenes) by a large, talking white light, the identity of which is fairly easy to figure out, though it isn't formally revealed until the end of the flick. Such is the case in "Scoundrels", a very good, 1982 release from Command Video and acclaimed director, Cecil Howard. [read the full review]

Scoundrels (Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack) review summaries:
Flash's
Scoundrels is an excellent feature adult film from the golden age of adult films. The film was crafted with care and it shows in the end results. Scoundrels is a rather dark drama that uses hardcore sex along with the non-sexual portions to tell a story, instead of just having a story that exists to have sex scenes. Scoundrels is a must see for fans of feature-style adult films. Command Video has done an amazing job with their limited collector's edition Blu-ray and DVD combination package for Scoundrels with stellar image and audio quality and a wealth of extras. THROAT...12 YEARS AFTER. Again, tells the story of two very different couples. The first being "Walter"(George Payne) and Marsha(Michelle Maren), who have now been married for 5 years. However, when each of them have a sexual encounter independent from one another, with another person Walter with a gum-chewing 19 year old hooker(Sharon Mitchell). While Marsha enjoys a playful romp with "Joe"(Eric Edwards) the couple's long-time meter man. Flash's
Vinegar Syndrome has, yet again, put out a beautiful release of classic adult films with this entry in their long-running Peekarama series. This entry features two very different films from prolific adult film director Shaun Costello. Afternoon Delights is one of the best of the vignette films that was ever made by the adult film industry and Slave of Pleasure, the third and final entry in the Dan McCord series, is a hokey detective tale. This release is worth picking up for Afternoon Delights alone. Vinegar Syndrome has done a beautiful job with the audio and video quality on this release. [read the full review]

Rick L. Blalock's
Writer/Director Kemal Horulu's 1983 drama-thriller, NEVER SLEEP ALONE, begins with an ominous tone right out of the gate. This as the camera captures a scene outside of a court building, where all we can hear are the ongoing proceedings of a trial. It is then that the film takes us back in time to chronicle the life of Lisa Alexander"(Tina Marie) and her husband "Dan Alexander"(John Leslie). Lisa and Dan, maintain an unconventional lifestyle. They are swingers, and often go to parties thrown by their neighbor "Diana"(Honey Wilder) at a local club called "Plato's Retreat", where basically anything goes, when it comes to sex. Both Lisa and Dan are very open in their relationship and are allowed to have relations with others, however, they have but one rule. They are not to sleep with each other's friends. This is something that they have been able to manage. However, soon, things get complicated, when Dan begins to have eyes for Diana's new roommate, "Natalie"(Joanna Storm). [read the full review]

Although this might not be an overly hot piece of smut, this is still a movie that's well worth checking out just due to its creativity. This is a very nicely done parody of Michael Jackson's classic, and is more than a little ambitious even by today's standards. The technical aspects are quite impressive for the age of the movie and the extras show some decent effort thanks to a very nice video interview and a short audio interview. This one isn't going to be for everybody, but it's still worth checking out. [read the full review]

Erotic World Of Crystal Dawn, The review summaries:

Narrated by its star, the slang-slinging 1980's cutie, Crystal Dawn, "The Erotic World of Crystal Dawn" from VCR (1985) serves up eight sexy scenes nominally drawn from the strawberry blonde coquette's personal experience. Included among the offerings, one finds the full array of pornographic fare, including IR, plenty of anal, girl-on-girl, and DP. Further, Crystal certainly knows how to play the not-so-innocent, barely-legal role well, and she capitalizes upon it to good effect throughout. For those interested in some naughty nostalgia and / or getting to know this early-era anal queen, this one is recommended. [read the full review]

Public Affairs (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
It's sex, lies, and audiotape, when a corrupt, hypocritical politician (Paul Thomas)--whose anti-porn campaigning is almost as flagrant as his ass-obsessed womanizing--opts to make a run for the Senate in the state of New York. Of course, behind him are myriad sordid characters, including a lowlife pimp (Joey Silvera), a more-and-more jealous by-the-minute assistant (Annette Heinz), and a German real estate tycoon seeking favors (R. Bolla)...all aiding him in maintaining both his campaign and his false, squeaky clean image. The only person standing in his way? A courageous reporter (Annette Haven) who's both onto his game and looking to show him for who he really is. Such is the case in "Public Affairs", a very good, 1983 release from Caballero and director Henri Pachard. [read the full review]

Babylon Pink review summaries:

Offering up spicy fantasies in juxtaposition to the banality of everyday life, "Babylon Pink" follows the lives and carnal conjurings of a variety of city women of differing ages and social standing, some related more closely than others. Indeed, this exceptional, 1979 release from Cecil Howard and Henri Pachard contrasts the vibrance of the sexual imagination with the sadness of reality and its drab dickings in such a way as to highlight the superiority of the former as it exists in the unsated longings (and lustings) of its multiple characters. Throat: 12 Years After is an excellent character-driven drama from director and writer Gerard Damiano. Throat: 12 Years After looks at the love lives of two couples and features an excellent cast and an enjoyable story. Ignore the implied connection to Damiano's earlier film Deep Throat and definitely watch this film it is worth it. VCA has done an acceptable job with their DVD release of Throat: 12 Years After with acceptable video quality and good audio quality. [read the full review]
