review from 2/20/2002:
Taboo is one of the true adult classics from the golden age of adult films. Taboo combines a tawdry tale of family love with a great cast, good story, and an overall nice looking production to create a film that has stood the test of time in the annals of adult films. If you haven't seen it, Taboo is a must see and if you are a fan of the classics, Taboo is one that you will want to add to your collection. VCX's limited edition release of Taboo is disappointing with acceptable video quality. [read the full review]

review from 3/5/2001:
Starring: Kay Parker, Dorothy LeMay, Juliet Anderson, Tawny Pearl, Lynn Shannon, Mike Ranger Directed By: Kirdy Stevens In my old college lit classes Oedipus Rex was my "go to" play. If we were called upon to write essays on irony, tragedy, flawed characters, or any of the other big dramatic topics for discussion, I always turned to that father killing, eye poking, incestuous king for source material. Of course, I didn't know shit about Medea or Troilus and Cressida, but I didn't have to; I had my regal Greek motherfuckers down. Kirdy Stevens' Taboo barely resembles the themes of Oedipus Rex, and we all agree that it's unfair to hold any pornographic work to the same standard of Sophocles' greatest play, and yet I'm gonna do it anyway. Taboo is the story of a boy and his mother. [read the full review]

All Blew Shirts presents Developed and Shot by Joey Silvera 1st up : Stacy Valentine, Tom Byron, Marc Wallice, Paul Cox Stacy Valentine, looking very hot with that fresh face and gorgeous bod of hers, in what has to be one of her earliest appearances, gathers some things out of the trunk of a car before getting into another. She displays those wonderful tits of hers as she changes on the way to the shoot, going on to say that she is from Tulsa, or as she put it a slut spelt backwards, Oklahoma. They arrive at the location where she meets up with Tom Byron, Marc Wallice, and Paul Cox, and soon they all move indoors, and once inside, she strips and bends over to show off that wonderful ass, then, while on her knees, she starts giving Tom a bj. Marc slips in from behind to fuck her pussy soon after, as she continues to suck Toms cock. She then climbs onto Toms cock, riding him cowgirl style, while sucking Marcs cock before walking to another room to find Paul, sucking his cock right away. [read the full review]

review from 9/13/2016:
A simple call from a shady and manipulative ex-lover, Jamie Gillis, for a pair of hookers to service a high-end client goes horribly wrong for a madam with a heart of gold, Veronica Hart, when one of the two ladies meets her untimely demise in a swimming pool whilst on the job. Quickly, and despite trying to get out of the skin trade, Veronica finds herself buried deeper and deeper in a high stakes game of drugs, sex, and murder that can end in only one of two ways for the unsuspecting young woman...and only one of them is good. Such is the case in "Amanda By Night", a phenomenal, 1981 release from Caballero and director Robert McCallum. [read the full review]

review from 5/13/2007:
One of the best American hardcore films ever made (by director Gary Graver) has been given a TERRIBLE DVD release by Caballero. A true genre masterpiece which features masterful performances from Veronica Hart, Richard Bolla, and especially Lisa DeLeeuw and Samantha Fox. A superior film in every respect which deserves a lot more than it has gotten on DVD. For that reason, pay more and get an old VHS. [read the full review]

review from 3/7/2003:
Here is a Harold Lime/Robert McCallum classic from 1982 that is still famous over 20 years later. It won six adult film critic awards, including best picture. Because it was filmed near the end of the "golden age," there aren't quite as many exterior shots as there would have been in movies a few years older. The plot involves a madam named Amanda (Veronica Hart) who, as a favor to her former pimp and lover (Jamie Gillis), sets up an S & M session for a local politician. The girls that she sends for this session (Lisa de Leeuw and Samantha Fox) are later found dead. R. Bolla plays the straight-arrow homicide detective trying to solve the case, without much help from Amanda. To make matters worse, there's a corrupt vice squad cop (Ron Jeremy) who is constantly getting in the way. By today's standards, this is couples' fare, with relatively short sex scenes, and loads of plot. It's so good-hearted, it could almost be on the Family Channel. Veronica Hart gets to over-act and ham it up ridiculously. It's a good movie, but a poor DVD. [read the full review]

review from 3/27/2022:
All isn''t as it seems at Ashlyn Gere''s spicy, underground sex party, as a shape-shifting "chameleon" (Deidre Holland) has infiltrated the scene. Preying upon the life-forces (and lusts) of the weak, she quickly attracts Gere''s attention and adoration... with potentially disastrous consequences. Of course, that''s all assuming that Deidre is the only predator of her kind... So goes "Chameleons: Not the Sequel" from VCA and director John Leslie. [read the full review]

review from 8/5/2001:
I used to have a VHS copy of John Leslie's Chameleon, in which Tori Welles seemed to have the ability to change shape at will - although there was a certain element of ambiguity about the events that no reviewer has seemed to pick up on. What exactly was real? The not-sequel from 1992 features Deidre Holland and Rocco Siffredi as a couple of vampiric shape-changers and Ashlyn Gere as an adventurous woman who is seduced and intrigued by them. The plot is less ambiguous this time around, although not exactly mainstream. I suppose the viewer is aided by the obvious loans from other movies, most obviously Tony Scott's The Hunger. Watching the movie I was struck by a realization of how much I had been missing real and intriguing plots in porn. Chameleons is by no means a perfect movie - I did not get the opening scene, which appears to be taken from an entirely different kind of movie. All it seems to do is to establish the bitchiness of the Ashlyn Gere character, and not very effectively. [read the full review]

review from 8/11/2000:
'Chameleons' is one of John Leslie's later creations for VCA.. shot on film with a substantial (if not great) plot and (for the time) good production values. It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Meanwhile Ashlyn goes to the bathroom and is interrupted by Deidre who suddenly turns into Rocco, the 'real' Rocco still having fun at the party. A sex scene follows between the two and there's quite some energy between them, Rocco finally shooting on Ashlyn's chin and breasts. After the orgy, on their way home, Rocco is grumpy since his energy has been partially drained by Deidre during her transformation... Things get worse when Ashlyn turns up again at their home. The road to Hell may be paved with good intentions, but it's an all-out, freak-filled fuck-fest once you get there, at least that's if the diabolical director of the dirty, Greg Dark, is to be believed. Such is the case in his two-part classic series from 1986 and VCA, "The Devil in Miss Jones 3 and 4", that finds the gorgeous, blonde punk porner and AVN Hall-of-Famer, Lois Ayres (as the seemingly timid and troubled "Justine Jones"), slamming her head into the wall whilst out revenge-fucking and then ending up in the perverted pits of Hell. review from 1/2/2008:
To my surprise and delight, DMJ 3 and DMJ 4 are in fact one film. While titled as sequels to Damiano's 1973 masterpiece, DMJ 3 /4 is closer to a remake, or even more appropriately, a re-telling of Damiano's tale. In fact, besides the name of the heroine and the film itself, as well as the basic premise of a woman dying and ending up in Hell, this film has no similarities to either of the earlier two entries in the series. review from 8/2/2003:
VCA has collected Devil in Miss Jones 3: A New Beginning and Devil in Miss Jones 4: The Final Outrage together for this set which makes sense since the two films are actually one film split in half. Gregory Dark's set of two films is very different than Gerard Damiano's original film and are very much a product of the 80s in their visual stylings. The two films are well done and definately worth seeing. VCA has done a good job with their release of the two films on this set with good video despite lacking extras. [read the full review]

review from 3/20/2001:
Before I saw this film, I was a believer in women being able to squirt. Ive seen it first hand, so I thought it would be great to see a movie dedicated to it. Scene One The film starts off with Melissa Monet in her room alone giving us a very quick solo scene. The scene quickly fades to a cute blonde named Leann explaining how she read in a book and found out how to squirt. The scene starts out quickly with her man fingering her vigorously until she squirts. The only way I know a woman can gush is from rubbing the G spot. It does look like that where hes aiming. However, she doesnt squirt she streams. and a lot. The scene cuts quickly to them lying together in the afterglow. She gives him a turn and barely gets him hard. When he starts doing her missionary, she barely moves. She just lies there. A minute later he asks if she can gush again. In order for it to be done, he gets off her and fingers her while she uses a vibrator on her clit. Again, shes motionless and quiet. [read the full review]

review from 6/3/2017:
Distraught over dirty dreams, an innocent, God-fearing, young woman named Peaches (played by the big-busted brunette legend, Keisha) embarks upon a journey of self- (and sexual-) exploration that takes her on one hell of a wild (...and often awkward...) ride. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches 3", a very good, 1989 release from acclaimed director, Alex deRenzy, and VCA. [read the full review]

review from 4/13/2000:
Directed by Alex De Renzy, "Pretty Peaches 3" garnered much in the way of critical and popular acclaim when it was first released back in 1989. Now, over a decade later, the video holds up only middlingly well despite it's "classic' status. I am not at all sure if today's "XXX-Generation" (those who maintain a steady diet of Max Hardcore and Sodomania) videos will have the patience for it. Shot on film, the DVD is much sharper and has better colors than its original VHS incarnation. For an old-timer like me, it was great to see actresses like Rachel Ryan, Victoria Paris, Tianna and Keisha back in action, although their best work has yet to hit DVD.The movie follows Keisha "on a quest for spritual enlightenment," but her encounters are more physical than anything else. Despite the fashion period of that time, Keisha looks great in just about every scene she's in. However, for whatever reason, Director De Renzy has chosen to mute her sexual performance and the results are disappointing. [read the full review]

Plot Synopsis: This movie is the story of Peaches, a young and naive virgin, trying to find answers to her confusing emotions. The film begins with Peaches (Keisha) and her friend, Sandy (Lynn LeMay), talking about Sandy's experience of letting a guy look at her "under the sheets." After Peaches' mom (Tracey Adams) runs them off to bed, Peaches has a dream of Sandy's experience. [read the full review]
