review from 7/3/2019:
When Jamie Gillis, sporting a dick-nose pair of glasses, throws a party, all of the masked, costumed freaks--from maids to furries to doctors to magicians and so on--show up...and fuck. What results is a hardcore, nonstop entanglement of flesh involving the likes of John Holmes, Sharon Mitchell, Mai Lin, Misty Dawn, Ron Jeremy, and several other notable performers of its time...and the ensuing action is hot! Such is the case in "Marathon", an exceptional, 1983 release from director Carlos Tobalina and remastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

review from 12/20/2016:
Taboo 2, while not as good as Kirdy Stevens' original Taboo, is an enjoyable feature adult film. The cast does an amazing job with their sex scenes and do a great job with the non-sexual scenes. Taboo 3, on the other hand, is a massive let down with a poor story that does little to connect with the first two films and seems like just an attempt to cash in on the Taboo name. Most viewers likely won't have any interest seeing the film more than once. Taboo 2 makes this release worth picking up. Vinegar Syndrome has done a great job with this release. Taboo 2 has some issues with the video and audio but is still the best release of Taboo 2 on the market and Taboo 3 looks absolutely stunning. [read the full review]

review from 12/14/2016:
This double bill from VINEGAR SYNDROME pairs together for the first time on Blu-Ray the first 2 sequels to the monumental title, TABOO, directed by Kirdy Stevens, and written by Helene Terrie. Here, Stevens and Terrie, continue their adventures in incest, as the act of family relations spreads! [read the full review]

Christy Canyon Triple Feature 4 review summaries:
Flash's
review from 5/20/2017:
Alpha Blue Archives' Christy Canyon Triple Feature Four brings together three mid-80s shot on video movies that are only related by the fact that Christy Canyon stars in all three of them. The three movies contained on the release are John Stagliano's Evil Angel, a hardbody feature, Hal Freeman's Sinfully Yours, an essentially all sex movie, and Mark Carriere's Savage Fury, a video roughie. Sinfully Yours is the best of the movies on the release with both Evil Angel and Savage Fury feeling like they were rushed productions. Overall, this is a rather disappointing collection of Christy Canyon movies. Alpha Blue Archives has done a poor job with their release of Christy Canyon Triple Feature Four utilizing some rather abysmal transfers. [read the full review]

Featuring six, sexy sequences nominally taken from personal experience, "The Erotic World of Sylvia Benedict" from VCR (1983) certainly serves as a solid showcase of its leggy, blonde star of yesteryear's, Ms. Sylvia Benedict's, ample erotic talents. [read the full review]

Shades of Ecstasy review summaries:
Flash's
review from 3/5/2017:
Shades of Ecstasy is a fluffy and fun adult film to come from the waning days of shot on film productions. There isn't much to the plot and the viewer can figure the story twist out long before it's revealed, however, the plot entertains the viewer, has good production values, and the sex scenes look nice. Shades of Ecstasy is definitely worth checking out. Hollywood Video has done a decent job with their release with nice looking video and good audio but hasn't included any extras. review from 5/1/2015:
It's a flashback to 1939 when a mainstream studio's old porno reels are discovered, dusted off, and screened in "Hollywood Confidential: Secret of Stage Five". An overall good, nostalgic release from VCA, this 1983 fuck-flick features two young actresses, Karen Summer and Cara Lott, who would ultimately go on to star in literally hundreds of X-rated films between the two of them and who would also both achieve Hall of Fame status over at AVN. Writer/Director: Adam Running length: 1 hr. 25 min. DOP: 1984 Female cast: Ginger Lynn, Raven, Kim Warner, Pam Nemmo, Lynn Ray & Betty Blue (NOT Bunny Blue) Male cast: Tom Byron, Jerry Butler, Greg Derek, Marc Wallice, Steve Dante, Greg Rome, Blair Higgins, Greg Ruffner Audio/Video: The video - fair to grainy, with washed out colors and noticeable upper and lower banding in many spots. The audio dropped in and out so be prepared to keep adjusting. At one point it disappears altogether for a few minutes, but comes back again. Extras: Scene selection One pre-movie trailer & phone sex ad Condoms: none Bush Factor: On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being Chewbacca) this is a tolerable 4. The Movie: Damn I love Ginger Lynn, and here she's running a pre-viagra impotence clinic of all things. Judging by all the hard cocks the patients are sportin', a very successful one, but then, if Ginger Lynn can't make your dick hard you might need a lobotomy. [read the full review]

Taboo 3 (Standard Digital) review summaries:
Flash's
review from 12/20/2016:
Taboo 3 marks a sharp and massive decline in Kirdy Stevens' Taboo series. Unlike its predecessors, Taboo 3 doesn't have great character development but does sport a clichéd story, and no continuity with the previous entries. Fans of the Taboo series will likely be very disappointed with Taboo 3, even if fans of the cast. Standard Digital has done a decent job with the video and audio for their Special Collector's Edition release of Taboo 3, but heavily skimped on the extras. [read the full review]

review from 5/15/2007:
It's not Taboo, but what is? Still it has Kay Parker looking pretty hot, some steamy sex, and absolutely gorgeous cinematography. The plot is lame, but the rest of the movie looks like it was made by people who cared. [read the full review]
