Sexually, schematically (i think that's a word) and whateverelsically. You have Ren Savant at the helm of this one, and of course he likes doing the really odd straight forward (if thats possible) features, so this one is appropriately called, The Nightmare Edition, and what you basically have in every scene is the exhibition of certain phobias. The first phobia is Sequiphobia, which is apparently the fear of being chased and we have 2 performers who are unknown to me, Anita Dark and Sandra Shine. Sandra chases Anita around town, literally! Apologies to Evil Angel - I certainly would not encourage piracy, but needs must. Anyway, the point of all this is that, crazily enough, despite the fact that Leslie's Voyeur was peeping on girls of the calibre of Anitas Blond and Dark, I really was not struck on the picture at all. This is the first of my vintage Dorcel reviews. I intend to catch everyone up on these generally excellent releases. I have selected this as the first because I had several requests. So without further adieu... Expectations How could my expectations be anything less than stellar? Here we have a Dorcel DVD with Anita Dark as the main star. That has classic written all over it! Capsule Review This is an excellent movie. It is beautifully filmed, it stars gorgeous women, the sets and wardrobes are lavish, and the plot barely gets in the way! What else could you ask for? Loosely, the plot revolves around a rich guy who loves to sniff girl's soiled panties. Each scene has a little of this voyeur guy snatching up panties and sniffing them. Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly. Shortly after reviewing MASQUERADE for Adult DVD Talk, I had the opportunity to take a gander at THE OBSESSION OF LAURE, a Wicked Pictures DVD from Marc Dorvel Video and starring gorgeous featured actress Laure Sinclair. Well, immediately after glancing at the cast listing of OBSESSION, I was almost convinced that this movie would top MASQUERADE, due to my overwheming partiality to Vicca (now a VCA contract girl) and Anita Blonde who performs in three of thirteen (!) scenes in this video. Well, after comparing my, umm..."reactions" to both films, I don't think that OBSESSION is overall as good as MASQUERADE, but then again, I saw MASQUERADE first so my expectations were already at an Olympian level. Still, THE OBSESSION OF LAURE was enough to convince me that the entire Laure Sinclair vehicles from Marc Dorcel were worth collecting, and Wicked's collection of European imports definitely give the Private line a run for their money.
