The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I think this is the first DVD I've checked out from Girlfriends Films. I'm not sure why, but I can't help but have some good expectations for this one.

Initial Reaction: It's a great movie that made one heck of a great first impression with me for Girlfriends Films.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting girl on girl action that's heavy on the chemistry

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting nastier girl on girl action or girls getting it on wearing wedding dresses in all of the scenes

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is well balanced, but often slightly low and a little muddy. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks good. It has a touch of grain and the lighting is almost a touch low, but the camera work is smooth and free of any sharp motions to distract from the presentation.

Music: There's a little music at the start of some of the scenes, but it fades out early in each scene.

Menus: The main menu is pretty basic, and blends a chapter menu that gives you a clip of each scene, a chapter number, and the ladies in it with the boxcover. It's simple and generic, and doesn't give the best of first impressions.

The Feature

Lesbian Bridal Stores 2 keeps things fairly simple. It focuses on two girls in each scene and works the scenes around a marriage theme. It may be one girl proposing to another or it may be a bridal fantasy between the two women. All you really know is that there's going to be plenty of passion.

Scene 1 Bobbi Starr and Jayma Reid

After consoling brunette Bobbi on the couch about her family, brunette Jayma heads to the bedroom and sets up a few roses, a card with a proposal, and a ring. Bobbi happily accepts her proposal, and after they quickly talk about how she didn't think Jayma was ready they kiss, cuddle, and talk about how they met before Jayma slides a hand into Bobbi's shorts to rub her pussy. They kiss and snuggle a little more before Jayna pulls one of Bobbi's tits out to suck. This is a very nice scene. The chemistry is off the chart, and it's a loving chemistry that is all too rare in porn alone, let alone all girl porn. Although the action is fairly limited and the scene is over a half hour long, it never drags and I found it hard to look away from the scene because the loving feel between these brunette beauties is so strong. It's a very realistic feel, and it matches the very realistic look of both girls very well. This is a great start to the movie and made a great first impression for Girlfriends Films with me.

Scene 2 Savannah James and Silky Thumper

After a phone call with her mom, lighter brunette Savannah sits back on the couch with darker brunette Silky to chat about her call and them going over there for dinner the next night. Silky lets her hands wander around Savannah as they chat before they head to the bedroom where Silky has Savannah blindfolded to lead her in to where she has candles, strawberries, champagne, and chocolates as well as rose petals all over the bed. They share some strawberries before Silky breaks out a rose with an engagement ring inside to propose, and soon after the girls are helping each other strip down so they can play with the strawberries and chocolate. This is another great scene. Once again it's quite long and clocks in at almost forty five minutes, and while the action is fairly limited the chemistry completely drives the scene. I love how cute Silky is as she works her way up to the proposal, and there's a very natural feeling to the scene that makes everything even sexier. This is a very hot scene that shows just how important chemistry is to a scene.

Scene 3 Veronica Rayne and Victoria Givens

As Victoria tries on a white wedding dress complete with stockings and gloves, brunette Veronica tells her about things she wants to due to her before Victoria comes over to give her a quick kiss. Victoria slowly strips down for her, but Veronica has her leave on her panties. Victoria joins her on the bed for more kissing as she helps Veronica strip out of her black pinstripe suit. They kiss and caress with some nice attention to each other's nipples, and cuddle a little as Veronica lays back on the bed before Veronica strips off both of their panties and starts grinding against Victoria. This is a pretty hot scene, but it doesn't quite keep up with the other scenes. Veronica looks fantastic and is without a doubt the driving force in the scene, but Victoria looks a little restrained and almost like she's a little unsure of what she's doing. There's still plenty of chemistry here, but it isn't as strong. The scene also feels like the girls wanted to go at it harder and heavier than whoever was in charge of it wanted them to, which may also be why some of the chemistry seemed a little weaker here than in the other scenes. This is a good scene, but it just can't keep up with the other scenes.

Scene 4 Anita Dark and Daisy Layne

As well dressed brunette Anita passes brunette Daisy, they can't help but eye each other on their way to their cars. Daisy dreams of Anita inviting her in with both of them wearing white bridal outfits. She kisses Anita and worships her body while stripping her down and rolling her around. This is a hot and fun final scene. Daisy and Anita look great, and there's both fantastic chemistry and a playful feeling to the scene. Daisy pretty much drives the scene once again, but this time Anita is so into it that it never gives the scene an odd balance like happened in the previous scene. This is a very nice scene to close the movie with.

Lesbian Bridal Stories 2 is a very enjoyable all girl release. There's a great emphasis on chemistry and fun here, and the loving feeling that comes out in the first two scenes is sadly all too hard to find in today's adult films. There's a little variety to the movie, but having the two proposal scenes together followed by the two bridal outfit scenes together gave the movie a bit of a split that didn't work that well for me as it made the movie feel like it was completely shifting gears. That said, I really liked all four of the scenes here, and although Victoria and Veronica's scene fell short of the others, it still never came close to the average mark. I think Bobbi and Jayma's scene was my favorite, but with how well the other three scenes are it really is tough to choose a winner and I think it probably came out on top for me just because I love Bobbi's bubbly personality. Lesbian Bridal Stories 2 is a very nice change from the typical all girl movies that are out now, and shows that chemistry still has a very important place in adult movies.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Girlfriends Films DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $24 with a few stores offering them near the low end. The low end seems very fair for this release. The sex is extremely passionate and has a fantastic feeling to it. The technical aspects are above average, but there's no effort put into the extras to help out the overall DVD. This is a very enjoyable movie, but I couldn't help but wish that Girlfriends Films would have put a little effort into the overall DVD.

Note to Girlfriends Films: A little effort towards the overall DVD would be very nice. Your main menu would also make a very nice chapter menu as it is, so putting a little effort into a main menu that's a little more impressive to give people a better first impression might be worth your time.
