Here we have Porn Valley which is directed by Michael Raven and stars Kaylani Lei. The story centers around Kaylani who finds out that her man of 5 years has been cheating on her with other women and has been paying for online porn. Well she dumps him and thinks that porn is bad and caused this whole ordeal. Well she resorts to online dating and falls in love with Barrett Blade and later finds out that he is porn director. She comes to love him despite his involvement with porn, and through this she comes to the realization that Porn does not cause problems in relationships, it is deception and lying that ultimately ends relationships. This is a great release. With a great script by fellow Wicked contract babe jessica drake, a fantastic performance both with and without clothes for Carmen Hart, and great direction by Brad Armstrong this one fires on all its cylinders. Carmen Hart fans should really take note of this release as she's in four of the six scenes, but only Brad Armstrong's threesome with Christina Aguchi and Demi Delia holds the sex back. The technical aspects show some nice care with a very nice anamorphic transfer and very well done lighting, and there's a bit of effort put into the extras as well. Mikayla's scene might be the best here, and cover girl Hannah Harper splits a very nice scene with Trina Michaels even though it doesn't even last ten minutes. The scenes often feel a bit limited, no doubt due to five scenes barely taking an hour and a quarter, but also work due to some nice chemistry. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's also some nice effort put into the extras. This release could have easily been lengthened out, but it's still enjoyable as it is. There's a bit of effort put into the extras, but that too comes off feeling a bit preachy and sometimes even a bit staged. Stormy Daniels goes behind the camera again, this time with an all girl horror movie about a woman (herself) who preys on other women sexually. The mood is nicely intense throughout the movie while never getting in the way of the sex, and the sex has a very nice variety. The technical aspects aren't crystal clear, but they are very well done approximating the look of many of the current suspense and horror movies of recent times along with giving an anamorphic widescreen transfer. There's also some very nice attention put into the extras to help round out the DVD. This is a much more intense and gutsy release than I expected, and I really hope Wicked continues to give Stormy Daniels (and their other directors, of course) the freedom to make more movies like it. A stunning cast that includes Hillary Scott, Kylie Ireland and Alana Evans in dramatic leads, as well as leading a sexual romp of top flight gonzo girls that rival any production I've seen recently, including Fashionistas. If Eli Cross has managed to meld plot and sex together as well as Stagliano, this could be a strong contender for picture of the year. Fashionistas Safado The Challenge Prologue Probably the most anticipated release of 2006 is the sequel to John Stagliano's critically acclaimed Fashionistas. As probably the only working reviewer who never put his two cents in on the original, I'll do it right now. I loved it, and thought that it proved that great feature films could still be made in porn. At the same time, I think it disproved it. Bordering on 4 1/2 hours long with a plot that didn't rival War and Peace in epic stature, it didn't allow for screening in one session unless you were obsessed. That's the price paid for fully realized sex scenes to go along with a coherent narrative. Of course, being that Rocco is the main protagonist, the scenes tend to get extra long. To misquote a famous American; "Porn is like a box of chocolates...you just never know what you're gonna get." In this latest confection offered up by Brad Armstrong and Wicked, I thought I picked out a nice chocolate butter with walnuts....instead I got a raspberry cream, with dark chocolate no less. After reading some promo blurbs and seeing the box cover loaded with all them promising excerpts, I thought I rented a sure fire favorite...I was sorely disappointed. If I ran a porn studio, I would instill RULE #1, on a list of 1, that the girls gotta be at least as hot and/or cute and/or attractive as might be in any other 'real' movie one might wanna rent on a saturday night. After all, hot chicks doing just about anything, is better to look at then Rosie, Whoopi and Oprah cum-swapping...at least I hope it is. Which leads to "Problem 1" I have with the movie. I read the novel some 3 or 4 years ago and I loved the content and themes of it-- kinky S&M and the objectification of women, namely, love slaves. It was an enjoyable novel but I much prefer the "O"-inspired "Sleeping Beauty" series by A.N. Roquelare (a pseudonym of vampire novelist Anne Rice.) "Story of O" feels tame compared to "Sleeping Beauty" yet this movie feels tame compared to "Story of O." And I think that's saying a lot that a porn movie feels less explicit than an erotica book. I know that Adam & Eve is geared towards the softer couples crowd but still, I was hoping for something much more bold.
