Review brief: If you like your porn artsy and stylish, Erotic Stories: Lovers and Cheaters #2 may be your cup of tea. Director James Avalon probably spent more time in the editing room than on the set to make this couples only feature. Unfortunately for raincoaters, all the beautiful talent in this cast is bathed in soft lighting and surrounded by irritating soft music. The final effect is that of a Playboy video gone a little berserk. The sex is pretty good, with lots of hard pounding, a couple of DPs, and three facials. But the MTV-style editing with herky-jerky cuts and slo-mo action wears on the hardcore viewer. And that music! Avalon, please, never use anything but instrumentals in the background. Having people singing and screaming to the music detracts from the over-all effect. Review brief: If the Barely Legal series gets any more predictable, it will turn into a dish of vanilla ice cream. This is Volume 50 of the successful series, and some things never change. The production is slick, the formula for the action is banal, and the sex is uninspiring. Luckily, they still employ cute girls still in their prime. Randy Wright seduces her dads business partner, Randy Spears, in the opening vignette. Wright has jet-black hair, two tummy tats, and a shaved beaver. As with many scenes in this series, director Clive McLean tends to cut away from the opening blowjob too fast for my taste. The couple goes through the typical position changes before Wright takes a Spears facial. There is no PCH, another pet peeve of mine about this series. Thirty seconds into the dialogue, the alleged director and cameraman come onscreen to have a fake disagreement over the lame script (which it is). When the guys finally stop their inane, unfunny commentary, Tony and Christie begin having fun. Its a decent scene that ends with Christie jerking him off all over her smiling face. Strip Club seems to take forever to set up the sex between August and Barrett Blade. They talk incessantly about how this stripper/customer plot is so typical of porn fare. Review brief: Surf Sand and Sex Too is another F.J. Lincoln feature from VCA. That translates to some cute girls having less-than-inspiring sex wrapped around some lame dialogue and storyline.
