Lauren Phillips puts in one of her best performances with always insatiable Elsa Jean. Yet its the finale with Shyla Jennings and Bree Daniels that scores top marks for me - where a longtime friendship offscreen shines on it.

Review brief: A fine collection of sister taboo scenes. Most of these stories are about deception in some form. We have Melissa Moore who impersonates her new stepsis Riley Reid in scenes 2 and 4 and faux sister rock stars who are blackmailed to protect their public personas in the titular story. But for my money , the best thing here is two part vignette that bookend the film. Bree Daniels and Chloe Amour star as long lost stepsisters and deliver emotional performances that I found both surprising and impressive.

And finally, in one of her last scenes before retirement Violet Starr gives all her love to Lauren Phillips in a scene that I thought matched the high water mark for either preformer in their mutual history with Girlfriends.

It may have been simple , but it was successful in what it tried to do. As if often true with Skow , we also saw some good debuts from Jaye Summers , Pristine Edge , Ella Knox and Sierra Nicole. Finally as a kissing fan, this was the best effort I've seen from Skow in that regard in some time.

Review brief: Stills By Alan brings us his first solo feature effort as both writer and director in Vampires. This is a niche in pop culture that has gone far beyond the stuffy old Dracula representations in the past decades. Hits in the mainstream from Anne Rice to HBOs True Blood have tried to bring the sexy allure of vampires out to wider audience to some critical success - but even so , none of those things were all about lesbians , nor could they really go all the way to pornographic. That's why as a fan all these things I was positively dying to review this film. And with an all star cast including Abigail Mac , Shyla Jennings , Jelena Jensen , Melissa Moore , Carter Cruise , Georgia Jones , Serena Blair & Angela White it surely did slay this past award season!
