The class is history and Averie says she’ll read out loud while Steph takes notes. Stephanie is distracted and wants to hang out and snoop around in the house. She keeps bringing it up and Averie protests but still follows as Stephanie goes upstairs and into the bedroom.

I never like to go negative or harsh in reviews, though I can’t lay much blame on the models. Some of it might indeed have to do with Averie’s inexperience - this is her first, and only Girlfriends appearance and Stephanie’s second , so I can understand the fast position changes that often make for an abrupt seeming flow of action. But good lord if these camera choices were different this could have been so much more...

I don’t quite get it but it feels to me that Skow is taking steps backward in understanding what fans ( at least like me ) want to see in g/g. It’s about the pussy eating. It would honestly help to know how many cameras or possible angles Skow uses at once to know if the culprit actually camerawork / placement of maybe a problem based in editing choices.

As for the story it was okay. I can’t say I often connect with Skow’s sense of humor. Having a plot point where the tutor is gone because her mom got attacked by a coyote? That’s... weird. Skow goes for laughs a lot where I think raw sex appeal might be more useful.

This was still okay and better than a lot of studios - and I might be a little harder on it’s shortcomings because I thought the two stars were so adorable on their own that to be let down by the final product seems pretty glaring.

The story was again okay. The dark room tease was something new , and actually an fine idea as a functional flashback from years earlier; because the darkness would naturally hide obvious change in aging. As a story nerd it made me wonder about other uses for the space, not as much in sex scenes but as an element in plots it could be interesting. The assertion that neither had been with another woman was kind’ve sweet too but maybe a little less believable once they got down to business, because they were so ferocious. In any case a fine scene that served as a real rebound for the first half.

I would have liked the tribbing to continue longer ; though the fast cut that proceeded it I am going ahead and making an educated guess that they probably edited out something like an audio gaff just before it — and since that has been something I have criticized in the past I am encouraged that they edited it out.

This was the most creative use of the tutor theme on the film and I appreciated that. It took maybe 10 minutes of the 47 minute runtime so we were still treated to an good long scene overall. The kissing that started everything off was some of the best kissing on the disc.

Final Thoughts and Suggestions

This turned out okay but did have issues with camera work, in terms of angles, close ups , and general focus a lot. Especially in the first scene which really kind’ve made me bummed for the models because both being newer ( Averie’s debut &
Steph’s second scene ) I worry that they might not get the opportunity to come back and prove their potential though little fault of their own. I really was encouraged by the rebound however and the debut of Nia Nacci alongside Aubrey Sinclair, the return of Reena Sky and the continued emergence of Kissa Sins as a worthy regular for Skow. I know that Skow gives more models chances for Girlfriends and that is one of the main reasons I still get excited for his releases but it doesn’t escape my notice when the little production things suffer and it’s often what keeps me searching for that truly standout movie from him as well.
