As a storyline this was okay ; I liked the long lost love idea, but wonder how I would feel with a more definitive conclusion one way or the other. This doesn’t mean you have to reach for happy / sentimentality. I mean it might be more interesting if we found out Katie was losing her mind, or if Jessa was somehow fooling her deliberately. Just something to think about in writing, but I do appreciate Skow for giving us two relationship based plots. It’s odd that it isn’t done more often in g/g quite frankly.

This one came out pretty good, though the glaring audio slip is a mark against it. It’s surprising to me that they didn’t edit this out with a simple cut. It comes at the end of the main action so it seems like something they could easily fix or work around. I would also say that the camera choices frustrated me more than once here.

Still, admittedly biased as this sounds it’s difficult for me to stay too mad at a Lilly Ford debut at GFF. She is so fucking cute! I have been waiting for this day a long time, though the honor of requesting her in the first place goes to my friend and reader Jonathan.

Lilly is one of those innocent looking girls that has a really hot kind of energy to her scenes. She also talks quite a bit during the action which is something I like a lot. I know some don’t care for sexy time chatter , but in favor if it adds to the story or scene and I think Lilly does that well.

I also loved that trib with Lilly on top of Britney. I always mention how I like smaller models to go hard when tribbing. The prototype superstar example of this will always be Shyla Jennings but Lilly does nice too.

Imagine if Britney woke to find Sarah there and then they could confess to each other what they each did and then make up. Or even more tantalizing if Aubrey went to Lilly and tried to talk to her about why she’s been distant and they made up with a sweet scene? That’s an easy winner right there!

Overall a good finish with a few hitches. Yet the arrival of Lilly Ford to Girlfriends is a something worth celebrating.

Final Thoughts and Suggestions :

This was a fun movie most notable for the handful of new faces to GFF Rina , Kat , Sarah & Lilly. Together with stars with relatively low credit counts so far like Jessa , Britney & Aubrey, you end up with something that is worth getting just for the freshness of it. I would say though that many of Skow’s little issues persist here. The audio slips are not something you should expect from an award winning director. The camera choices often confuse me and even if you get the hottest models on the planet that’s going to keep you from reaching full potential. There were some interesting seeds planted here for later films if Skow wants to play with them to better flesh out his world ; the mention of ‘LezRock Magazine’ or even the passing reference to ‘Leslie’s Angels’ on tv. I could see plots involving either in the future.
