Extras: None. This was a big disappointment. With how much of a classic the original Debbie is, it really deserved a commentary at the very least.
Audio / Video: This was the main fault with the DVD of Debbie Does Dallas. The video is pretty consistent with most video form the 70s. Considering how old the movie is, they probably did a pretty good job restoring it. The audio, however, is horrible. Most of the movie sounds like it was recorded in the shower. Actually, some of it was, but I had hoped that the restoration would have done a little better job with the rest of it.
The rest: This is one of those adult films that although not perfect, everybody should have a copy of. I remember sneaking my parent's copy of Debbie away to watch when I was a teenager. It was a right of passage at that time for almost every teenage boy, and I hate to deny my children that right someday! There's a reason Debbie has stayed around so long and is still thought of so highly, despite the audio and video quality. There has hardly been an adult film since Debbie that captures innocence in an adult film so well. Debbie shows this best when she tells the rest of the cheerleading squad that it doesn't matter what they did with their boyfriends, between them they're all virgins. The innocence also extends to many of the sex scenes. Unlike the average current adult film, not every girl goes all the way. Many of the girls only do blowjobs (because they're 'good girls'). Although part of me hated that all the girls didn't go all the way, it really added nicely to the plot and characters. Even with what some might consider a limitation, there is a wide variety of scenes, from a three - way and anal, to a simply bare - bottom spanking and blow job in the library.
The main drawbacks to Debbie Does Dallas are the typical drawbacks of early adult films. The pussies are extremely hairy, although some are shaved here, and the girls are all quite a bit older than the characters they play. Most of the girls are obviously in their late 20s, as opposed to the upper teen girls they play, which is easily forgiven.
This is still one of the best couples films ever to be made, and one that should not be missed. The audio and video are not the best, there are no extras, but the film itself is worth watching. The girls are realistic with great natural bodies, the camera work is better than average, and the sex is well done.
