Video quality is so-so, but the audio is unlistenable. It's a decent DVD if you're a fan of the performers and you want to see someone again, but overall it's mediocre at best. Possessing special powers that allow them to turn both frigid housewives and uninterested daughters into naughty nymphomaniacs with but a single fuck, Dickman (John Holmes) and Throbbin (Tom Byron) spread the love in "The Erotic Adventures of Dickman and Throbbin". An otherwise-good, 1986 release from Western Visuals and Jerome Tanner, the version of this flick available at adultempire.com as a part of their (...excellent, I might add...) unlimited streaming service seems to be missing the last few scenes (at least according to the scene list at iafd.com). Interestingly, a quick check of various other digital porn providers seems to indicate that this is the rule and not the exception. This sad decision on someone's part, of course, means that the plot is cut short, as is the sex. That said, what is included is still hot, and the Amber Lynn, Tom Byron, John Holmes boinking remains intact. The audio is in excellent shape and comes through clear at all times and I didn't notice any hard to understand dialogue. Now on to the plot of the movie. This movie has enough plot to keep a soap opera going for 6 months, but don't let that discourage you my fellow porn viewers. I found the story well developed and if you follow it closely it is quite interesting and it will hold your attention. You do have to pay attention though to know what is happening. This is not a film you can fast forward through and know what is happening. The plot involves 3 couples of whom the men of the 3 couples all have one thing in common they have all dated Alexandra. Alexandra remains a mystery throughout the movie. Alexandra has something in store for these 3 couples though, she wants the guys, girlfriends to think that she is about to tell their boyfriends about their secret sexual shenanigans. The plot to this story is supposed to be something similar to that of a soap opera, but I didn't find it to be any more similar to a soap opera than any other porn film I've seen. Basically the problem is that there was no plot at all and this is a problem in a porn film that pretends to have a plot. This movie pretended to have a story line and it had just enough to get in the way but not enough to make any sense, so this is one problem.
