review from 4/23/2017:
Savannah's and Randy Spears' summer vacation is coming to an end, and neither is looking forward to returning to the hustle and bustle of the big city. Compounding matters, Randy's ex-roommate shows up, sending Savannah into a tizzy, and then the guys bring home an itinerant sex-pot whom they meet on the beach, Tianna, and things get worse. Whether they'll all ultimately find a way to get along or whether things will completely blow apart in the last few days of their break remains the burning question of the day. Such is the case in "Runaway", an overall-good, 1992 release from Vivid and Paul Thomas / Judy Blue. [read the full review]

review from 2/17/2018:
Transitioning from a hesitant and faithful wife into a wanton, lustful cougar, a beautiful, big-busted working woman (Christy Canyon) finds herself slowly drawn into a torrid affair with a younger, engaged co-worker (T.T. Boy) in "Twisted: A Portrait of a Different Color". A decent, 1990 flick from Paul Thomas and Vivid's Wave brand, this film offers up the adult film legend and hall-of-famer, Christy Canyon, whose stunning good looks, soft curves, and ample bosom have been lighting up the small screen since the mid-80's, in the bulk of its scenes. review from 5/27/2017:
The plot thickens for the stunningly gorgeous actress, Racquel Darrian, and her sugar-daddy hubby, Buck Adams, as the film that the latter is financing for the former finds the two driven further and further apart. Of course, Adams' building jealousy and the tantalizing, extramarital temptations that they both face don't help much, either. Such is the case in "Bonnie & Clyde 4: The Revenge of Bonnie and Clyde", the overall-good conclusion to Paul Thomas' and Vivid's series of the mid-1990's. [read the full review]

review from 4/29/2017:
"Bonnie & Clyde 3: The Secrets of Bonnie and Clyde" is the third installment in the mid-90s series of films from Vivid and Paul Thomas that nominally recounts the tale of the infamous duo named in the title. While the first two flicks did just that, this third one in the sequence actually shifts gears a bit, as it focuses in on the fictitious filming of a "Bonnie & Clyde" movie. [read the full review]

Title: The Heiress Studio: Vivid Wave Running length: 90 minutes too long D.O.P. 11/20/00 is only date given Writer/Director: Paul Thomas Female cast:Samantha Strong, Stephanie Rage, Sioban Hunter, Ona Zee Male cast: Jeff Stryker, Nick Ferrar, Lou Paul, Damien Cashmere (Randy West)? Audio/Video: Bad. Only because of what you CAN see and hear. Perhaps duct tape over the camera lens would have been an improvement. You can always use your MUTE button to help things along as well. OK, speaking strictly about the A/V only, it still wasn't good, especially during the sex scenes. At times too shadowy, and only a couple of different angles used detracted from any enjoyment. Or, maybe not. Extras: some good previews, with Raquel Darrien and Alexandra Silk. Some trailers were also on the flip side. General comments: Let's just say that Randy West was the least offensive thing in this whole production. That should be enough to lose a few readers right there, and I understand. Plenty of trouble--and a heapin' helpin' of country carnality and backwoods boinking--follow, when the infamously randy, outlaw duo of Bonnie and Clyde find their way into Racquel Darrian's small, rustic town. Such is the case in the aptly titled production from Vivid and Paul Thomas, "Bonnie and Clyde". A very good release featuring some of the hottest stars of its day (...or of any day, for that matter...), this one is strong on plot, settings, and sex and is likely to please even the more sophisticated of feature fan. review from 12/9/2001:
Bonnie & Clyde is a great couples film with a slim plot holding it together. I cant recommend it for fans of nasty sex or people who cant stand any plot in their adult films as there is enough of a plot here that it will interfere with their viewing. It would have been nice if the video had been of better quality and that instead of putting the useless standard Vivid special features that the two films had been presented in their entirety as there would have been plenty of space for them. Vivid has done an acceptable job with their DVD release of Bonnie & Clyde. [read the full review]

Running Time: 65 min. Production Date: pre - Nov. 1, 1990 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Julianne James, Claire Tyler, Racquel Darrian, Alex Storm, Randy Spears, Eric Price, Tim Byron, Julian James, and Derek Harper Initial Expectations: I enjoyed Brat Force enough to give Nymphobrat a try. Its a Vivid release, so Im not expecting too much. Initial Reaction: Its not quite as good as Brat Force, but its very close. Audio /Video Quality: Both leave a lot to be desired. The audio is uneven at times and the dialogue is very hard to hear in several places. The video is extremely fuzzy throughout almost the entire movie. Im guessing that the original wasnt in too good of shape, but it doesnt look like any effort has been made to improve it. Music: Its normally overpowering and your typical late eighties porn music. False Advertising: Champagne is listed on the cover but doesnt appear anywhere in the movie. Review: Nymphobrat returns to the world of Julianne and Morty (Tom Byron). [read the full review]

It's a fuck-off to the finish as Julianne James, "Bratgirl", goes up against the evil "Feline", Hyapatia Lee, when her boyfriend is unwittingly captured by the villainess and forced to impersonate a high-end designer for the purpose of promoting polyester. Running Time: 68 min. Production Date: 1989 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Julianne James, Barbara Dare, Hyapatia Lee, Raquel Darian, Tom Byron, Eric Price, Jeff James, Debi Diamond, Claire Tyler, and Tantalla Initial Expectations: I enjoyed Brat Force and am a comic geek. Combining a porno and super heroes sounded like a lot of fun. Its a Vivid release, so I dont expect too much. Initial Reaction: Its a lot of fun and my favorite of the Brat movies so far, but I wonder what happened to the rest of the cast. Audio /Video Quality: Both are pretty good for the age of the movie. The audio has a little dubbing and there are a couple spots that are kind of hard to hear, but its better than I expected. The video is slightly grainy and has a few cloudy spots. Its a little better than the other Brat movies and pretty respectable for the age of the movie when one considers what the original was probably like. Music: The music is a lot of fun and helps out the movie a lot. [read the full review]

The stunning, blonde Vivid Girl of yesteryear, Jamie Summers, is simply a young woman who loves blue jeans, cock, and pussy and who's intent on indulging in as much of each as is humanly possible. Little does she know, however, that her two wigs (and their respective "heads") that reside atop her dresser watch her every move and covet her every encounter. The second side contains three scenes each of anal, threesomes, and outdoor sex. It also has 2 scenes each from Lene', Dyanna Lauren, and Gina Fine. Gina? Oh, Vivid must mean Jeanne Fine. The scenes aren't too bad. They're normal Vivid quality. It also has the Vivid Bonus Disc - read bonus disc review here. Audio Quality: Choice between dolby surround and Dolby 5.1. The sound is pretty good, but it's also pretty obviously dubbed in a lot of places. Video Quality: Very grainy, but 'Brat Force' was filmed in the late 1980s, so it's not bad for the age. Music: I'm not sure, but I think the music was done by Merv and the Mellowtones. I've heard better stuff on elevators. [read the full review]

review from 10/28/2001:
Army Brat, part of the Brat series from Vivid, is a fun amusing movie from the 80's. What makes this movie so fun is that the cast, themselves, seems to be having a good time which compensates for the silly plot. The plot is enough to keep the film going, but not enough that you have to worry about getting dragged down by it. The acting is incredibly cheesy but fun to watch. Vivid has done a decent job with their DVD release of Army Brat. [read the full review]

review from 2/16/2004:
Title: Cheating Released by: Vivid Wave If you were to ask an adult film director to come up with a movie called "Cheating", he or she would probably line up a few VERY fresh faces (as in 18-21) and come up with a movie about a couple of college girls who screw to get the answers to their finals. After all, thats what people think cheating is all about nowadays. Thats what the subject of all of these mainstream movies are about. They all have to do with school and tests. Fortunately this particular movie was done in 1994. Back then, cheating had nothing to do with school or exams, and EVERYTHING to do with extramarital affairs. And the key players in this movie certainly didnt look like they just came out of high school! The key question to ask about this movie isnt whos fooling around. The real question is who ISNT fooling around on their significant other and with WHOM. No doubt by the end of the movie the answer will surprise you. The movie focuses around a group of friends preparing for a surprise birthday party. [read the full review]

review from 1/27/2017:
In the 1997 film, BLOW DRY, Emilio(TT Boy), is just one of those guys, whom we sense, only gets a haircut because he has to. However, one such trip to a salon owned by a woman named Bella(Morgan Fairlane) makes a deep impression on him. So much so, that 15 years later, Emilio shows up at the same salon, as he hopes to get his ears lowered again by the seductive stylist. Unfortunately, however, Emilio is shocked to find that it isn't Bella who is minding the store, but a new young lady, by the name of Anna(Jenteal), who is much more prettier than Bella. Anna motions to Emilio the shop's closed status. However, he is mesmerized at this beauty, and makes it a point to stop in the next day for a cut. Emilio, pleased with this experience, dives right in, as immediately following the haircut, he spontaneously pops the question to Anna, as he asks her to marry him. [read the full review]

* DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas. * DURATION: »90mins. * STARRING: Asia Carrera, Christa Rain, Christy Canyon, Dallas, Jenteal & Shelby Stevens. OVERALL: A fun movie for Christy Canyons 90s comeback. The story is light but entertaining though, as always, Vivid sex leaves a fair bit to be desired particularly as Christy doesnt seem too enthusiastic with men. A decent film overall with some funny moments and some erotic moments, especially in the scene with Christy and Jenteal. FEMALE LOOKS: I got started in porn after Christy retired, so I dont know how she looked at her peak. Here her face is a little gaunt but she is still attractive with a natural appeal, though the famous massive (natural) breasts are starting to sag. The girls in the first three scenes Christa, Dallas and Shelby are average, and Ive never thought highly of Asias looks. Jenteal however looks gorgeous and suitably innocent for her first girl-girl scene. MALE LOOKS: About average with Ian Daniels, Michael J. Cox, Steve St. Croix, Tony Tedeschi and TT Boy. review from 12/10/2001:
I remembered why I hated Vivid videos. Here's their formula: - make a nice looking sexy video cover w/ nice picture quality (which you'll never see on the DVD, even in the screenshots) - throw in lots of old video clips as "bonus" material (the video quality sucks on the preview/bonus clips as well) - recycle VHS tapes into DVDs (can't explain the video quality otherwise) Anyways, I used to be a big Racquel Darrian fan. She has an amazing body (I think she still does through all the graininess of the video) and a nice face. Picked this up through a trade to see if Vivid was any better than it used to be. Racquel walks into a club where another girl is flirting w/ the guys. She and this girl end up having sex in front of all the guys. The bar is dark and that screws up the video quality. Guy at bar picks both girls up and brings them to his love shack (actually, decked out basement with really dark lighting) where his friends are all having sex. Girls get turned on and have sex w/ the guys there. [read the full review]

* DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas (1995) * DURATION: »80mins * FEMMES: Asia Carrera, Celeste, Crystal Gold, Laura Palmer & Tammi Ann. WELCOME to Rieekan Review #10 Trouble Maker. Celeste is my reigning All-Star Queen but didnt have many sex scenes in Borderline, though the movie itself was quite good. I was hoping Trouble Maker would be a better showcase for the busty brunette and was pleased. For some less complimentary words, jump to reviewers review. Celeste plays the trouble-making Shane, who comes between newlywed Asia & Eric Price in the name of manipulative fun. Shes found dead at the start of the movie, with the obsessive Tony Tedeschi reading letters he wrote to her as he watched her wreak havoc with others lives. The plot and acting (particularly Celestes) were pretty good, as one would hope to find in a Paul Thomas movie, the only letdowns in the production values being the clothing and music. EXTRAS: [Side A] 5 chapters, 8 bios, 3 sex scenes & website preview. [Side B] 10 previews & 15 sex scenes. [read the full review]

Running Time: 73 min. Production Date: 1993 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Lene' Hefner, Lacy Rose, Sierra, Brittany O'Connell, Mark Davis, Jon Dough, Nick East, Steven St. Croix Extras: The typical Vivid Wave extras. Previews, bios, 'interactive' sex, and AVN highlights. It's the same extras as the other Wave DVDs. Audio Quality: Average. There are a couple of spots that seem like they may have been dubbed, but it's not overly noticeable. There are also a few places where the sound seems to lose its depth, which probably added to my feeling of parts being dubbed. Video Quality: The picture shows a lot of grain, but I think that comes more from the original than the transfer. Music: The music comes and goes throughout the movie, but since it seems to be on purpose, it isn't too bad. When the music does stop, it seems to be the end of the song and you have some of the sounds of the people. Initial Expectations: Paul Thomas normally does a pretty good porno without much plot but with some average to better than average sex. [read the full review]

This is not your typical erotic cinema. Ms. Gere really tries to flex her acting chops, which means as the better actresses go, she qualifies for soap opera work on the networks. It is almost mystifying as to how much drama is instilled over actual fuck scenes. Still, Ms. Gere is so stunning and so cock-hardening, she carries the film. The First Word: This second movie in Paul Thomas' Masseuse series emphasizes plot above all else and dares to depict situations not normally shown in porn.
