Review brief: "The Lifestyle" is a clever and fun look by its director, Stormy Daniels, into how one fictitious couple overcame a serious state of sexual boredom. The plot is advanced through an interesting, retrospective mechanism that is coupled with direct narration by the lead (Stormy Daniels), non-sex cut-scenes that are often comical, and five full sex scenes that cover a wide range of sexual possibilities. In terms of the sex, the third scene--which involves a three-way between Roxy DeVille, Carolyn Reese, and Evan Stone, and the last scene--which involves an orgy featuring all sorts of activities, are definitely the best. Still, none of the other three scenes are bad, ranging from good to quite good, and involve more typical boy-girl and girl-girl pairings. Overall, I would highly recommend this film to anyone who is looking for fun, couples-friendly-yet-still-erotic porn that features enough of a plot to keep things rolling (and often funny) between the various instances of sex.

Review brief: I don't know what to say about this release if you read my reviews below, its a must-own DVD, but something about it this release didn't grab me by the balls and excite me-I don't know what it is. Perhaps I failed you as a reviewer because I cant articulate it exactly... But you'll find good solid fuck action with this release and other than my technical complaints that follow, would be a good rental or purchase. I have to say, unfortunately, the video is sub-par and the audio suffers. While you don't see tracking lines or anything like that, the whole thing seems blurry and slightly out of focus. The audio sounds like it was shot in my garage (with an echo) and tends to get loud (when there's moaning) and soft. All of this is a shame because other than these technical complaints, this is pretty good porn for the most part. Review brief: I don't know what to say about this release if you read my reviews below, its a must-own DVD, but something about it this release didn't grab me by the balls and excite me-I don't know what it is. Perhaps I failed you as a reviewer because I cant articulate it exactly... But you'll find good solid fuck action with this release and other than my technical complaints that follow, would be a good rental or purchase. I have to say, unfortunately, the video is sub-par and the audio suffers. While you don't see tracking lines or anything like that, the whole thing seems blurry and slightly out of focus. The audio sounds like it was shot in my garage (with an echo) and tends to get loud (when there's moaning) and soft. All of this is a shame because other than these technical complaints, this is pretty good porn for the most part. Extras include: Casting auditions, a behind the scene featurette, interviews, website promo, a photo gallery, and trailers.

The cast is strong here and strongest where it needed to be in the role of Cliff who is brilliantly played by Thomas Ward-- a nonsex AVN nod is a sure bet for him. The entire cast does a great job, and only Ashley Jane's scene fell a little short here due to her excessive vocals rather than anything to do with her taking a cock up her ass. Both the movie and the very enjoyable behind the scenes featurette are held back more than anything by intrusive watermarks which interfered with the movie continually. The technical aspects and extras show great care and help this to be a great DVD that's well worth checking out for anal fans.
